So how do I delete my reshades completely?. Do I tick the " Delete Reshade DLL's " on the launcher and that's it?. I tried using the home button reshade menu and un-ticking all the options and clicking the reload button on the bottom and although there is a visual change the FPS stays near the same as it did with the reshade.

to make it look as good as possible you should get: a texture pack, a model pack (optional) and a reshade preset (or make your own). Other than that you should also mess with the MCM settings for the graphical mods like SSS, the in game settings aren't really that important.

@lucid knoll if you have a CPU that has hyperthreading (you have more logical processors than you have cores) then when you do the "CPU Core 0 Affinity" trick you HAVE to do core 1 AND 3, NOT 0. This is very important. I did not see an FPS improvement from the affinity trick until I did core 1 and 3 instead of 0.

yeah that's a good balanced option, if you want maximum quality something like TFAA or if you only want a little enhancement without much performance loss you would go for something like fxaa or smaa, the immerse option you have is also pretty good.

1) While in game, press F12, go inside Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If the screenshot isn't there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
2) Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTLR + V to paste the pic, save it, send it
3) Windows key + Shift + S, which lets you choose what part of the screen you want to take, it will directly copy the pic for you so all you'll have to do is just CTRL + V in the chat.

I am looking for advice from experienced users of GAMMA. I have recently completed all the main quest lines and now starting a new game. I'd like to change the looks of my GAMMA and I was wondering what I can do to make it look different? I know about different reshades and such, but I was completely happy with the way default GAMMA looked. I don't need to optimize the game, it runs smoothly. I just want it to look different, is there graphics mod packs that are compatible with GAMMA? Any help would be appreciated.

you can install stuff like ADEGA texture pack (or zone reality) with the HD models or KVMAS and Azestrix models, as well as arrival anomalies for crisp new anomalies. GAMMA already has all the stuff to make it look good by default but with stuff listed, you can make it, just that bit better.

but base GAMMA already has all the nice stuff like SSS, enhanced shaders, atmospherics and all that so there isn't too much you can add onto it when it already looks so good

1) While in game, press F12, go inside Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If the screenshot isn't there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
2) Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTLR + V to paste the pic, save it, send it
3) Windows key + Shift + S, which lets you choose what part of the screen you want to take, it will directly copy the pic for you so all you'll have to do is just CTRL + V in the chat.

2) Copy these four folders (check pic)
3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste these four folders (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

i may have screwed up

i was playing with reshades

and turning on and off the options(?) in the preset to see which one looks best and not causing significant drop to fps

when i enable depth_3d, the game frozes, and it crashed.

when i opened it again, the option in the preset get loaded again and the game frozes again

would delete shader_cache solved the problem ?

Open your Anomaly folder and open /bin

open your ReShade.ini

look at a text called PresetPath, that should point to the .ini folder that your game will load when you open the game

now open that file that is in the PresetPath

yes, none of them seam to work. It looks like they work for a split second on a loading screen and then nothing,

going to dx11 reduces my fps from 120 to like 35 so that is why I try to avoid it

reshade has been removed from default gamma as of a few updates ago

you now have to go out of your way to reinstall it, see !reshade

you can tell by the FPS counter on the top right and the red mask/layout that reshade is active

it allows you to add various "masks" (layouts) over your game so that it looks more vibrant or more colorful or effects that other videogames have such as anti-aliasing or chromatic abberation

here's an example of a reshade preset

the game is not this colorful/blue-ish in hue naturally

it's also not as sharp, and i could have opted into smoothing the jagged grass edges with an AA mask if i wanted to

here's another example, see how the red stands out amidst all the green of the scenery and the blue skies

if you look closely at the edges of the screen you can see that i added a vignette overlay (the darker hue) and some chromatic abberation (the red-blue distortion)

the blacks are blacker and the whites are whiter and stand out more thanks to the various overlays

Reinstalling reshade fixed it. The PDA bug seems to be common though, I fixed it by going to an older save.

i wasnt messing with the shaders, but i remembered i change the weather for raining & stormy to have longer duration and change it to "regular"

i have deleted shader cache, directly in the Anomaly\appdata\shaders_cache, the game still bright when it rains
