GAMMA has reshade preinstalled. If you've done everything correctly, after you get in game proper open the console using the user mode key (usually right above left TAB on your keyboard), type in cfg_load atmosr, hit enter, close the console and after that all you have to do is open the reshade menu via the "home" key and from a dropdown menu at the very top select and load a preset

there's about 10+ which are available from the go. you can install new ones and/or modify the ones available to your liking

PageUp, next to the "home" key on your keyboard enables and disables all reshade effects so you can easily compare the results

just keep in mind that if you modify an existing preset by default it is set to save all the changes immidiately after applying them, so either remember what and where you have changed or backup your Anomaly/bin folder where these are located

Nofair has a really good pack, his Core_v2 has been prepared and tested in cooperation with Hippobot who also knows what he is doing

for gameplay it really depends on your monitor calibration and your eyes

for example I found that too much bloom, dof and constrast tires out my eyes during normal gameplay so I've heavily modified one of the GAMMA presets to fit my needs

Dark areas are nearly pitch black, is like only a green filter, but no gain on visibility....I've been two days trying to solve this issue but no luck. probably a CPU bottleneck, once your single core hits 100% usage it tanks your frames, often happens when you enter an area with a lot of NPCs. Ive had rookie village start with 25+ npcs, frames went from 60 to 40 and i couldnt do anything about it

started playing around with the reshades yesterday and found the grim v2 reshade that comes installed with G.A.M.M.A. by default

Now I just need to figure out how to DL the Re-texture and the HD models he mentioned

@swift robin if you push the home button on your keyboard (above the up arrow keys) it'll open the reshade menu and you can see/select all the installed reshade presets that came with the gamma install

@swift robin I'm super new to this but I think this will help point you in the right direction. Search the mods/retextures you are looking for in the Discord and you should be able to find the install links/guides for each one

thats because only some games are supported, hence why we change the name of the .exe to a game that is supported. It'll work on almost any game that doesnt get iffy about you changing the .exe file name

That's something else entirely. The placeable campfire (remove only textures\detail) instructions are to hide a dirt texture for the ground, nothing else. You probably installed something else wrong

I think it depends what good fps is to you, im playing with phrozac reshades with a GTX 1080 and get 60-80 fps and thats fine for me, so i assume youre going to be more than fine at what would probably be double if not more than double my framerate

I do like some of the other ones, the only issue is AtmosR seems to be giving me the best performance by a significant margin . I can leave things as they are right now with default AtmosR but would there be any harm in tweaking those settings I mentioned before?

click the plus button -- tick "inherit current preset" then give it a name.... tweak away and try different things, if you end up not liking it you can just go back to AtmosR original

Yo, how to make rooms less dark? What I mean is that the walls are very dark and visibility is practically zero. Is it about ao? I fiddled around a bit, but in the end it didn't work, because with better visibility inside, it was getting brighter outside (not much, but too much). I am using reshades norfair strategist v3.

If so its definitely feeling like the bare minimum you can get away with playing gamma on while still having a stunning visual experience, but its definitely still a very enjoyable experience with some optimizations

AtmosGAMMA with fake hdr added is my favorite reshade right now. Lightweight and realism beautiful. Even better if all basic light settings are set to 1 I think.

If you're really looking for a huge fps gain then you'll probably want to get one of the X3D's. The huge L3 cache on these CPUs allows the CPU to process a lot more data closer together before having to go to RAM. This generally results in a huge fps gain even over CPUs that have much higher clock rates.

depends on the preset, although i have found that having the in-game AA at x2 helps with reducing the foliage flicker to minimum when combined with reshade

you have to download the preset ini, bring the INI to your "bin" folder inside your Anomaly Base Folder, put that ini there where the other INIS show. also download the reiline.fx and put it to your "shaders" reshade-shaders folder
