So I could reproduce the ctd. After updating the launcher and the game, I played for several hours with no crash. Only issue was the game send me to the desktop, but I could click on it and play again, so no crash.
The crash seems to happen, when trying to upgrade the binoculars with advanced tools (or any) workbench, with the upgrade for optical scopes (advanced). It shows random needed toolkits and if provided with such kits, it sometimes shows none and most likely the ctd happens.
Upgrading through the tech. works fine tho.

If I’m using a proper caliber, it’s all good. If you’re using weaker ammo because reasons, you lose way more than you gain, so you have to carry an armory.
I just prefer to feel more free to use whatever guns I enjoy instead of trying to optimize it
I still end up buying ammo
The SA-58 is awesome though, so I’m more than willing to shell out for its ammo

Mostly anything below the WP 7.62 at endgame. I barely use AP because cost
9x39 is pretty good because I can dismantle 5.56/5.45 and make more 9x39 though

Use your Roubles to purchase ammunition, that's what it is for if you can't conserve.

Of course, not all enemies have that exact calibre—but that's why the modpack incentivise players to use different weapons.

5.56 is super good for conservation.
Lots of enemies in the late-game have them, you can craft 5.56 using materials from 5.45. 9x39, and 7.62x39, and they have great penetration statistics.
Also much, much better damage-to-range ratio and flatness than 9x39

Hydroshock just wasnt very cost-effective. Yeah, I’m a miser. Saving up that AP ammo because “I might need it in the future”

What's the purpose of the anomalous measurement device in your loadout buy screen when starting a new game? It was just a quest item given by some ecologists if i recall, right?

I didnt have zoom bound at the time, it just kept resetting HUD FOV for whatever reason when I had toggle aim enabled.
Turning it off and on fixed the problem. 
so I upgraded my binoculars to have night vision aswell, but I can't figure out how to turn it off or if it's even possible, anyone know if there's a keybind for it?

I think the closest you'll get to being able to access your stash from anywhere is using debug
I think I read from someone that you can access a stash from a pretty far distance somehow
in vanilla anomaly you can access your stash from within the same zone via the map (didnt test in Gamma)

its from dynamic anomalies overhaul, it shows you the distance to the nearest anomaly to help you avoid them since some of the new ones didnt show up in the svarog detector
but this was changed in gamma and some of the later versions of the addon so the svarog should show you all anomaly types

Just a heads up Nimble can give you a better version of the G36. Currently there is a bug where if you upgrade the gun, he can't detect it in your inventory.

the FMJ can do decent damage as long as the enemy isnt wearing any good armor

Imagine reading the add-ons you enable.
You need to equip a magasine appropriate for your weapon from your inventory.
Otherwise you're trying to reload a firearm with no available magasines on your vest.
And no, you cannot disable MagsRedux mid-playthrough.
Also one more question I've noticed with mags redux enabled, all of the magazines I've found on stalkers are completely empty, I only find loose ammo.
On previous versions of Gamma I used to find some ammo in magazines

It's a program that loads ltx file changes in chunks so conflicts are much rarer

Basically instead of overwriting file.ltx, it allows overwriting only one value in file.ltx. The only time conflicts will happen is if other mods also overwrite that one value (rare)

Okay, I've got a question about healing.
I am in the utmost perfect health, I'm not hungry nor thirsty, My limbs are all-maxed out, I have zero radiation, and I'm not bleeding.
Yet, at random fucking intervals, my limbs and health degrade.
Weight doesn't affect health.
Yellow health points? Might need to post heal

I know you have to take pain-killers/healing items after using a medkit to fix your limbs.
My limbs, which are fully white right now, continue to randomly degrade from nothing.

Fresh-install, the meters being visually broken doesn't affect anything though.

I had enough radiation resistance to just walk through it whilst gaining a very minimal amount,

If you are unlucky you might cough directly after being slightly irradiated, taking some health damage, but not limb damage.

My torso is 100% but it is around 80-85%.
I slept to heal my torso to full, if I take random damage again then I've got no clue whats causing it.

find the mod called "gamma alife optimization", edit the file and change the 'start date' line

It could be decreasing if you have a lot of tasks and some of them are dying which fail the quests. Failing quests will drop your rep

Found out later that he's being escorted by a couple of allies, they came from the dead city pathway which they eventually head back to base

Hi guys, loving the mod so far, only issue I have is that the sky is really bright, can't make out clouds or sun. The screenshot is taken in the middle of a thunderstorm. I've tried changing gamma/contrast but can't get it looking normal, any suggestions?
Did you turn down/off sunrays and ssao and other lighting graphics from high? I found that having it on high/on at all makes a massive difference in how bright the game becomes and the overall mood of the environment
if you need to turn it off for fps related reasons then I have no idea how to help, maybe someone more experienced on the technical side can offer advice
Try DLSS upscaling if your GPU has that function.
Of course, it will still look like 1080p, because you can't magically multiply your monitor's pixel count via software.

For anyone wondering, your placed backpack stash contents won't be affected by the latest update/addition of hideout items. Backpack stash is 30kg, so you won't be able to add anything new if it was already large.

What are the conditions to get better armour from the enemies? Is it rank points?
Depends on your settings in Progression. Progressive = you get armor drops based on your rank, Full = you get the armor they have no matter your rank. Do mind that the chance that the outfit will drop is % based and can be changed in the MCM settings

there is no 3D scopes addon in gamma. some scopes from BaS are pip scopes (or 3D i guess) but they eat your fps to unplayable levels

dont update anomaly for gamma. gamma uses 1.5.1 and will include the 1.5.2 fixes
then just extract all the gamedata folders there
I downloaded Gamma last night and it worked. Today it stopped working so I updated Gamma through the installer and it still won't launch. If it isn't the Anomaly version then this is gonna be fun to figure out.
