I was mulling over the bullet damage mechanics, and is Flesh Damage a multiplier to the weapon’s base damage, and does it only apply to mutants, or to stalkers as well?
Searched the Discord for answers and only got some partial info
And does AP ammo ignore the target’s armor, or does it break it? If so, one could fire AP ammo to break the armor and then follow through with HP shots for extra flesh damage

If the ammo has greater AP than the targets BR it ignores it, if not it damages it I think

I think you can "deplete" armor with repeat shots even if ammo BR is lower than armor BR, or just deal enough damage with multiple shots. But using good enough ammo kill fast anyway, so no point in switching

fun fact: if you have ammo with too low BR, aim for legs instead of head or torso. Will work better
They are as rare as any other toolkit. Green Stashes are guaranteed to have A toolkit, but the chances are even between which will pop up (basic, advanced, expert, medical, gunsmithing)

last time I tried, it ended in battle royale between me, sin, monolith, loners and military. Got like 50 kills before I had to retreat

I've got no idea. AFAIK mutants have zero armor, so AP ammo is pointless or worse against them due to lower damage and being more expensive
Playing as a Loner, is there any reason NOT to wipe out the military at Agroprom Reasearch Institute? Will it mess up any quests etc?
it wouldn't, but it might be interesting to have options. For example you can infiltrate and do some of their quests, like bring technical kits
if you do stashes, you will have plenty of tools lying around. And handing them in via quests once per technician is decent easy money

Pseudogiants can smash the ground with enough force to cause a shockwave, they're massive tanks of muscle
If BaS buckshot can kill it with less shots, while being a cheaper ammo, that's still quite a win
it's still a game, if you made every mutant die after a few buckshot ammo, which is very cheap, you would make mutants basically no threat
and the ks23 hits with enough force to damage tank tracks and stop vehicles.

I've never seen one in Aproprom, idk what the deal is with mutant spawn but if I dont turn it down in MCM settings Aproprom will have like 2 chimeras fighting a packs of pseudodogs, dogs, cats, and a ton of the jumping guys with gasmasks (brainfart on their name)
pseudogiants throwing stalkers around is one of the best moments this game has to offer

I wish I could tweak specific spawns, like not lower cool monsters like controllers but lower dog spawns. Fighting dogs after a while is just tedious
and im afraid to touch spawnrates again because it caused great swamps to be extremely laggy, but only swamps. for some reason it was absolutely loaded with far too many npcs for the engine to handle

I think I found the issue, I looked at the changes in the script and I think it should be "gigant" not "giant"
I corrected it and now it takes about 6 buckshot to kill it

Went into the glowing pit anomaly in dark valley for about 1 minute to do a grab-and-run with an artefact that I needed and my SSP-99 Suit got damaged really quick. Not from any burner anomalies I hit but from the heat of the area itself. Thought that suit is one of the best when it comes to thermal protection, so why is it being damaged so fast?
The suit is not upgraded though...
I might be wrong, but a suit's resistance to a damage type, and a suit's durability to a damage type are 2 different variables. So it can protect YOU from the heat damage, but it can suffer heavy durability loss from it

how much the suit protects you and how much damage suit takes in the process are two different stats. Improve suit durability, or AFAIK artefacts and modules can reduce damage suit takes as well

I mean, I'm not complaining, I survived with zero damage to myself but I thought the suit would take less durability damage, considering it's description says it's "tailored for maximum durability in thermal, chemical and electrical fields". Would be pretty terrible if egg heads go out in the field and have to buy a new suit after visiting 1-2 anomalies of this kind.
Im speaking lore wise, might I add, maybe it is a gameplay balance thing, in that anomalies still pose a threat even if you have the best gear.
So the junk tier artifacts (Sourpuss, etc.) will run out of efficiency while you have them in your belt slots and they'll eventually disappear if they hit zero. IS the same thing true for higher level artifacts as well, or do they stay at the efficiency you've powered them up to forever?

not so much with hidden multipliers involved
Hidden multipliers are mostly to overcome penetration buffs vs mutants
because the number varies wildly from listed
And high AP against mutants means over penetration= less damage
Hidden multipliers against mutants are just so the damage values indicated are more accurate actually

Hey, I started playing as a Loner on easy settings [want play the game, not abuse mechanics/grinding] in Cordon Village. I am using SKS that I choosen at the start [I can buy BR3 ammo in Cordon] and I am trying to restore AK 105 Specialist however it has only BR1-BR3 ammo and only BR1 is accessible close to Cordon (Garbage).
I wonder where should I go for "endgame" content, should I change a faction and stay somewhere higher[better loot, better guns, ammo, etc]?

You need to talk with the trader and you to be a part of that faction to actually trade faction suits

The only options he gives me is the regular trade option where the armour is not allowed to be traded, to ask him if has work or to play blackjack

You'll get them as rewards for missions/looting dead bodies
There are no purple stashes until you've explored all the areas in the zone, which gives you three purple 'special' stashes.
There are only white or green stashes. 'Brick red' stashes are specific for the ISG-faction.
Green stashes are guaranteed to have at least one of the five toolkits available.
Search stashes in Agroprom, Truck Cemetary, Yantar, Army warehouse for advanced tools. Doing tasks around Garbage, Cordon and Great swamps will still uncover stashes in aforementioned places

if yes, do you have a highly populated base, for example the rookie village in cordon, stuck with a lot of npcs?
cuz in my playthrough im beginning to have highly populated areas like yantar bunker or rookie village with a lot of npcs like guarding it
it's no problem, i drop heavy fps but still playable, the problem begins when a enemy spawns, obviously all of the npcs go hostile and pc is literally dying due to everyone shooting and jsrs killing my pc due to the layers i guess

Instead masks offer superb protection.

Nomad has great carry capacity and surprisingly good resistance against radiation. It's not a battle suit though.

Hey so what's the difference between post heal and first aid? I can see that first aid gives my limb bars a yellow portion but post heal doesn't seem to do anything. And even that yellow bar seems to vanish. Is that suppose to be temporary health?

Honestly it seems backwards to me. Painkillers are a temporary thing to numb the part, then you'd apply a more stable fix like a bandage or medkit. Hell, splints could be added to fix legs.
Splints are for fractures
If you get your legs eaten by dogs you want antibiotics

Bandages etc are first aid > fast action. Post heal medications take time to have an effect, that's the whole point of the system

I'm having some SEVERE issues with enemies spotting me from miles away and managing to gun me down long before I can even figuring out who's shooting at me, much less try and close the distance to the effective range of my weapon (especially with how open the maps are). It's honestly sapping my will to continue because there's just plain nothing I can do, I can't even successfully assault the east village in the great swamps for Clear Sky's quest because I can't get anywhere near them and can't hit them with my starting weapon, whereas they seem to be able to bullseye me effortlessly even with weapons worse than what I have.
Does anyone have any advice on tweaks I could make in order to even the odds and let me get a bit closer before the enemy slaughters me? Or even some basic tips to help deal with the issue?
That task is difficult to start off with.
It is better to not take that task until later, preferrably when you have a functional rifle.
Tick "Ennemies can't see though bushes" in MO2.
You can also tick in the MCM menu SWM visible body : delete visible body

Ace suit is pretty good. You can get it from mercs in north of army warehouses pretty easy

Well, to answer that question, for the irl equivalent, which was the Altyn, Russian soldiers needed special training to be able to wear the helmet for long periods of time

it's better to tank anomalies with artefacts, to avoid having to pour the remnants of your suit into tiny can and taking it to technician

That’s why I carry two helmets, the CRBN Gas Mask, and a generic military helmet I upgraded to be stronger

Not very, that’s more of a case of I learned to optimize exactly what I carry so I don’t overweigh myself
meds can help with that, there are some cheap pills which will protect from radiation and can heal limbs in a pinch
their rad and chem resistance is listed as something like 1%, but they actually tank well
also I'm not sure where to get spartan helmet, probably mercs? Got final day ones like three times from Garbage of all the places, no spartans at all

it will not, though killing Freedom too close to their base may make all of it, including important NPCs, hostile. AFAIK you can't make them friendly again

In the settings for the Stealth mod, do higher numbers make it easier for enemies to detect you or harder? Full auto with silencer is a bit hard for the gun if you don't have reliability increases
Reliability is usually the best thing you can get
Recoil for guns with huge recoil
Handling for guns where you full auto with laser when hip firing
Been tap firing mostly cuz i found a scar-h, too costly to go full auto

I have a problem with the radiation poisoning - there was an emission (or psy storm) and since I left my shelter I have that radiation on me. On the main screen (of the game) it shows level 0 of radiation however on inventory screen there are 3 bars, tried taking medicine but these 3 bars wont go away.

Ok so this is a weird one, but how do i disable map transitions? as in i want to go beyond the point in which the game usually transports me to the next map.
Had some merc ambush me right after loading into AW, but i killed them beyond the map transition into dead city, so i can't lot them normally

This happened in Vanilla Anomaly too, even without the smooth transitions they will walk past the point where the game asks you to transition, and if you say no, it teleports you back like 5m - in other words disabling the mod wouldn't have helped you loot the corpses. Has happened to me in a few places in regular Anomaly, especially with guys like base technicians in places I am clearing trying to flee from the battle.

- Use charges to merge the same artifacts together to make them stronger.
- Use crafting to convert artifacts into other more powerful artifacts.

Na, you can recharge the melter from lower tier items, use multiples of the same item to merge them into more powerful ones.
It has a safety built in to prevent you from using the last charge which would destroy the melter.

if you are new to gamma or anomaly you should go with medium scavenger but hard survivalist works the best for gamma once you got to know the new mechanics and features
I've done an Anomaly run on med-scav Loner and figured maybe I should went hard survivalist Merc for Gamma
It's definitely not easy and I'm progressing at a snail's pace so I don't know if I should switch or not or it's just early game's difficulty bump
early game is going to be hard and slow in gamma, thats why its recommended to start with lower difficulties

The entire modpack is built on GBOOBS as a foundation, both in scripts and balancing.
You're better off trying to create your own modpack if you're hellbent on being able to one-shot Exoskeletons with a PM.
Claiming that enemies are 'bullet sponges' implies you don't understand the ballistics system.
You'll come to liking it once you do.

Yeah I realised that already. For me personally it feels like FMJs are not a viable option. HPs are really nice against most mutants and APs are great against stalkers (and yes I think it‘s almost all stalkers because they all wear armor)
In the early game it took me nearly 3 1911 .45 FMJ mags to kill a trainee bandit.
And thats what is odd I think. But maybe it‘s just me
using .45 to kill people
