yeah overwrites overwritten but it appears it wasn't even ticked from doing it ingame in the mod config
can confirm that I have had no issues at all with using mags for a long time with starter items are not broken
If i remeber well, there was an issue when you start a new game and mags don't spawn with your starting weapon
not sure if that was fixed or not

But I've been playing Anomaly with mags for years at this point
its just makes the game harder since enemys dont seem to need to reload mags seperate
So at this point it just feels natural
its extra steps in management not really more
The biggest improvement in my eyes is being able to have extended magazines for guns that had a fixed capacity

especially since there's interoperability in NATO weapons, you can end up with 60 rd drum mags in an M4 that normally is limited to 30

I much prefer the Howa type 20, which is limited to 30 in the base game

Is the zombie horde mode (survival) not compatible with Gamma? Can't seem to get it working, and I remember the install notes only mentioned warfare mode being unstable. My bad if I missed it, but is survival also incompatible/unstable?
Gamma focuses exclusively on free-play or story mode.

hey i have a question whenever i reload a gun the character just puts it away and pulls it out i have to manually drag the mag into the gun is that intentional or is a bug i cant tell
Did you add the mag to your load out?
A few things to think about:
— Are you using MagsRedux?
—— if yes, do you have magasines equipped in your loadout?
— Is the firearm jammed? Check #│💻keybinds-in-gamma for clearing it.

after you give rogue the gauss rifle do you just have to wait around or

the bullets are just in the inventory now it's a really good change
before with mags enabled you got way more ammo from dead stalkers than intended so that change makes the ammo economy the same as without mags

disable GAMMA reload and unjam on same key in MO2 and then make sure that reload is bound to R and unjam bound to Z in the keybinds. you can quickly add mags to your loadout with alt+left click

I'm supposed to help a cs squad take out a bunch of renegades in the swamp but when i get there, there are no clear sky soldiers, only enemies?
they take their sweet time to get there. the squad spawns when you get the task from cold and then they RP walk towards the renegades as slow as they possibly can.

i believe you need to upload the log immediately after you crash

go to the moddb home page to make sure you aren't blocked as a bot and also try changing the mirror. you should be running the 3.5 installer if you don't have it already.

Guys I understood that outfits can not be bought anymore, but can you please tell a “legal” way to get armour of your own faction? How Grok means to do that? Do we have to rely on drops (so to expect faction mates to die sometimes)?

Sometimes can be given from mission rewards, such as clear sky

basically mdata is growing a lot because of all the NPC names stored in mdata, and eventually, your save just blow up after X npcs saved
modders should remember to keep mdata as little as possible, or clean it regularly

perk-based artifact don't emit radiation so no point trying to store them in lead containers

If I remember correctly: field stripping also has a chance to reduce the condition of the parts you extract

I think I've seen heavy armor on supply lvl 5 merchants but it's much easier to craft it
mechanics sell kits depending on what toolkits youve given them
so giving them basic tools lets you buy light armour kits from them, advanced for medium and expert for heavy/exo

pull parts in decent condition from weapons/armors > disassemble junk > buy basic shit like glues and oils from mechanics > craft toolkits you need > fix parts + weapons/armors > profit

i made it a habit in anomaly to dismantle everything i see
so i never really had any issues
i got a monolith ak-12 in shoddy condition, 2 or 3 duties later is was funtional except the barrel
barrel is 59% so i sadly cant use a ramrod
interesting, I just hoarded all the good parts I could find from early game and now I pretty much have everything I need no matter what gun/armor I bring to my stash to fix to 100% and upgrade straight away

and if you make a note which parts you need for the weapon/armor you're looking to fix, there's a good chance you'll run into a mechanic that sells that part without you having to roll loot to find it
its really expensive to buy parts in early game tho
7000 for a nearly 100% part is a hefty price

9mm AP is a godsent in the early game
you don't need to buy parts early game because everyone is packing what you're looking to pack anyway

But you can't repair wasted barrel on "advanced" gun without toolkit, which sometimes leads to heavy dps drop. My 100% dvl-10 after grok's damage reducing rework switched from slightly less effective anti-armor rifle to a nap gun - it couldn't one-hit even loner in jacket - they would just fall down to the ground. Armor, on the other hand, can be repaired with lots of money.
I'm constantly irradiated but the geiger counter always reads 0msv (unless I've ingested something of course). I've tried removing all items and my suit but no chop - I can't sleep despite being tired, is this a known bug of some sort? Any suggestions on console fixes if so?
I managed to expunge the 0msv by going to a medic and paying to have it removed but it's happened over and over, still not sure why it's happening
Are you getting it constantly or just in some areas? 0msv on geiger is weird, but otherwise looks like you're getting into heavy radiation pocket. They sometimes spawn in sleeping areas, too, like gas station at dark valley or cottage at the north of army warehouse map.
it affects me then stays - it doesn't have an affect me unless I sleep (and can't) and I get the radiation flashing logo all the time.
Haven't met this personally, sorry. It might be a bug. Have you tried to load previous save?

yeah I've been seeing it on and off for quite some time (I save constantly through the console so I've seen it on >100 saves). I picked up an RF tracker which I can't get rid of or dismantle but it indicates no radiation.... Tried removing everything in inventory to no change
artifacts can become invisible?
there is one bugged artefact, but it was fixed in a recent dynamic anomalies overhaul update
you can try updating the addon manually or doing a complete installation if you havent done one recently

I mean weapon with 100% condition, i.e. dvl-10 saboteur, but with heavily damaged barrel. It will work flawlessly, but damage output is equal to tranquilizer rifle.

More of a general question I’ve been playing for a week now and every time there’s an update I have updated the GAMMA data & Only install GAMMA addons and the occasional complete install when told too (like today). Are there any risks involved when it comes to doing this to my saves? Or should I just worry when told explicitly to start a new save/run?

you'll get another message at a later time for the RF stashes, they're a bit different from normal stashes

technically no, you can equip any artefact right to the belt. that being said, many good artefacts emit rads, and without using the proper container youll die VERY fast

like if it's getting too difficult with bullet sponge enemies you can turn your bullet hit factor up in the settings, its a multiplier to make the player do more damage with guns

sid is a map object and not an npc so if you sell him a bunch of stuff he just seems to keep it forever which can cause his trade window to lag
the bigger my stash is the bigger the lag I get when it loads, same for traders, lvl1 traders load slightly faster than lvl5

you can start the task manually with debug mode. I know there is a vanilla bug with emissions if the task fails and isn't completed successfully so you can probably find the task names by searching for that.

you could probably get a better answer for this in the anomaly discord but you would need to unpack the anomaly files that contain the xml files with the tasks in them and then you can get the task names that way.
fdda has it, it's disabled by default in GAMMA due that it can cause soft locks
you can enable it in MCM options but don't try to ask for help if it starts to bug xd

You have probably used the "Restore default user itx" from the loader screen, simple way do restore it is doing a complete install from the gamma instaler. I will restore the correct use itx.

Can anyone else hear a 'ringtone' when npc's reload? Theres a certain reload sound that sounds like a common sms ringtone sound, i dont think its intentional but it's at the end of a sound file and sounds so jarring.

Red forest is mid to late-ish so make sure youre using a fully repaired gun and make sure youre using AP ammo against armored targets
i havent found any expert toolkits yet after 150 stashes and well over 100 hours so I dont have access to br5/6 weapons yet. using ap on sks / ap shotgun rounds
Make sure youre checking northern stashes, you won't be getting those tools in the south

in raw material numbers sure, but 90% of stalkers will be carrying pistol ammo of some kind and straight up 30% of the ones north of rostok will just give you small amounts of hydra cos ACP pistols are common at that point
plus the ump isn't a paticularly rare gun, is repaired with a pistol repair kit and has easy to obtain parts
also hydra ammo isn't the most expensive to straight buy
and you simply don't go through it that fast due to how much damage i deals
coming from a logical pov, I think it makes a lot of sense since .45 is a lot fatter, and that being said, a .45 hollow is gonna open up a lot more than a .22 hollow
