Hello everyone, I am very new to all things Stalker and started my first playthrough with this modpack. Now I am on a Quest to find 3 samples inside anomalies. Two were very easy to find but this one in Bloodsucker Village I am unable to get. My anomaly detector doesn't pick it up like the other ones and I can't find it. It's supposed to be inside these ruins.(Maybe I don't have the required equipment?) This question might not be connected to the modpack but maybe a friendly stalker knows the answer :) Didn't find anything on the internet about it.
dose anyone know what EXA is in the audio settings and why it makes some sounds cut in and out?

I kinda have an Issue . Radiation never stops. in the rookie village or swam base. Sutie is good. no atrefackts at all on me. A soon the efeckts from pills or vodka stops the radiation rises in any place. (yestarday it was not the case. I made the full healling from the DR. in the swams. still as soon efects go away , radiation rises.)
Do you have a mask?
The game gives you a grace period when you start the game. This is normal.
You need to have some rad resistance

Yes. Some players do hardcore starts and take no mask from starting gear. Your gonna have to find and repair one asap.

my companions are not teleporting with me while im in CNPP
im changing levels and only 2 out of 4 companions get with me

At first i thought it would be a nice way to slow down progression but im starting to feel like its quite the slog to go through everytime you want to try out a new weapon or change your weapon
disable Gamma Economy , and enable Trader Overhaul , Trader Destockifier etc. whicever u want (u can have both if u want)

i might not do it immediately but i just started to have that nagging feeling yesterday that progression might be a little too slow for my taste, id much prefer if the enemys wouldnt all use broken af guns and in that case i could just scavenge relatively well maintained guns and patch them up. But if you just want a decent shotgun and you have to destroy like 4 or 5 to get all the parts you need... eh i dunno :D
but i guess thats the intended experience and its very awesome that you can just customize it to your own liking. Gamma sure is awesome, gotta say

swapping better parts from one gun to another is much, much more economical, but you can use a Handgun Repair Kit for instance to repair all the bits in a handgun to full, without using up other parts
There are like, 3 recipes that aren’t unlocked
by using the Maintain Part option from right clicking a weapon when having a kit in inventory

true enough. I mean i didnt play stalker for like 8 years and then heard of anomaly by some steam friend who was playing so i went in going all "alright lets get the vanilla experience first so you know the ropes once addons come into play" only to realize that the biggest addons are complete revamps to the "original" but yeah i do see the potential in playing gamma for quite a lot longer. Since everything is much slower but also feels better. All the mods to improve the gunplay really shine to keep the gameplay up an ready.
In anomaly on day 3 or something i found an ak12 on some military dude with a scope on didnt change guns except when i want to try out something to new until the end of the game.
yeah, you can for sure get like super OP guns almost immediately in GAMMA
can you repair them though? not until you get an expert tool kit, aka past red forest and up north.

so, you should really "Batch Diasassemble" ammo you pick up after a battle
it reduces the weight by a lot
and favorite the ammo you use
so it floats to the top of your inventory
lets you keep out for longer in the day before returning to your stash
thats a really good tip, and then keep all the casings an what not
but rn i just wanna build a little hoard, until i figure out which gun i will use and and keep so i can have a little extra ammo once the gun is ready

in GAMMA its more appropriate to think of dividing them between those 4 types

gamma removes them, only the regular zombies that dont have gear are in the game

There are multiple. Bar's radio is an obvious one
the barrier event seems to still trigger them on occasion instead of monolithian waves, as well, regardless of how they and their faction are disabled in ZCP
i specifically remember going to back up gatekeeper on my way to the scorcher during LL and having to deal with lukash's barrier defense against zombified stalkers on top of it and the god-awful performance that ensued from stacking up bodies

It combines both a headlamp and a night vision device but the lamp is somewhat weak and the nvg is hard to see with, still good tho

After I get the artifact for fanatic he normally just gives random quests to me

In terms of Artifacts are there are 'Anti-radiation' artifacts in the game anymore? Is it even worth the time trying to find them if they are in the game?
Artifacts are super good. Youll need to repair them, they dont come to you full quality anymore. Youll need to put them in the proper container to filter out rads, you dont just stick them on your belt. (Minus a few caveats)
Oh yeah right I completely forgot that the artifact system is kind of different. You would need an artifact application module or whatever the proper name is correct?

my favourite anti-rad artifact is anomalous bread
I think if you just check for the "emitted particles" and have equivalent or higher tier of application module it will not irradiate you

No. Only to have it in your inventory
The regular L96A1 uses the same calibre cartridges. That's the reason.
The AWSM-variant use .338 Lapua, dealing tons more damage.

Worked for me (thanks to your help with the previous quest lol), the item is called "Decoder" and the description says it allows the monolith outcasts to listen to the fanatic's

I'm guessing no, as far as I'm aware read only will only stop it being altered, not overwritten. You're better off taking a backup of your modified file and overwriting it after the update
Haven't tested it though, so report back if you want to try it

Bandage then you’ll see your limbs highlighted yellow, that’s temp heal and will gradually go down. You need an items like ibuprofen, yaudin, or Fentynal that give post heal (details highlighted in white rather than yellow)
When using yaudin just take a caffeine tab after to stabilize vision during battle

6 will take off/put on the scope, V will toggle between scopes (if you have two)
there are a few kits that do it
some weapons only have a kit that can mount two weapon
once you install those kits you press underbarrel keybind and it will switch between them

It's a feature of Yet Another Camping Save, you can only save near campfires, labs and (I think) friendly bases
The "daddy save" is a quick save you can do every tot seconds when you're not near a campfire

I'm having the film grain screen for like the radiation effect in random locations at cordon, but whenever I check my geiger it shows 0 for environmental radiation, is this correct? I've looked through the previous questions made on this subject and they all point towards the asker being in radiation or just suggesting to download the no radiation grain mod, but never really touch on if this is a bug or not.

decently. stuff is more expensive to buy from traders. mainly affects early game progression in terms of money. you also get less goodwill for doing quests for you need to grind longer for trader supply levels. Also remember that you can tweak a lot of things in settings. (dont touch sleep deprivation or water deprivation though)

one of the scientists' quests requires you to go to 3 different anomalies in army warehouses to grab a sample, I have a detector that allegedly can detect all known artifacts and yet I can't find the last sample required

hello, I've been looking through past posts and didn't really find a clear answer: I just can't find the package in agroprom, from the random "don't forget about package" messages and with the RF receiver. It beeps regulary on the whole southern part, it just fades away at some point, and sometimes there's an other beep that overlaps (what is that ?), but the main beeps never goes quicker, its volumes just fades away sometimes. What am I doing wrong ? it seems it's beeping louder south of the military base, but it never goes quicker..and I've walked everywhere in this area (between the base and the fence)

it uses the base addons settings, I didn't fine tune anything for gamma specifically. Just remember that it drops much more ammo. Also, I'm not sure it makes NPCs use the designated ammo from the loadouts. I made specific changes so that masters / legends and some factions like Mercs, Sin and Monolith use AP ammo

Now that I've confirmed it's Reshade that crashes my game, can I use ENB or other options?
ENB doesn't work with Anomaly
unfortunate, Reshade gives me GPU driver timeouts every 5-20 minutes so I guess no overlay-style enhancements for me
You can try removing everything but the bloom maybe if you like this
it's the most major effect of the reshade
the rest is some color correction and brightness adjustments

There is something about stealth (that is basically disguise) in MCM settings, you can check there as well
