Grok change the damage of weapons in the past few days?. My sks that always oneshot now need like 10 bullets to kill the same guys. My barrel is 98% by the way.

somehow I can't increase the uses of the sleeping pills. I want to increase it to 5 instead of 2, but after I edit the section for sleeping pills in items_drugs.tlx, when I'm ingame every sleeping pill item I buy from traders/spawn via debug menu only has 2 uses.
Other items in items_drugs.tlx are not affected by this and I can increase the uses of psyblock or caffeine to 10 if I like. Only sleeping pills don't work for some reason?
standard 750 like anomaly, if you lower it i dont think you will break anything you will get more stutters when you are in range of the alife
I used to play at a very low switch distance before I moved to gamma, and I barely had stutters but the high switch distance is killing my fps
For artifact hunting quest, artifacts in dog mincer and bedrock claws are not spawning. Is my save fcked? Or Bear detector is not good enough and need Veles?
Sometimes the artefacts get thrown far-ish away, that could be the problem, othertimes I've had them fall through the map. try searching around in a radius. if that doesn't work, use the F7 debug mode to spawn in the artefacts, I had a similar issue happen to me, I just spawned in artefacts until I got a notification for the quest, turned it in, then "donated" the rest of the artefacts I spawned with.

You have to enable debug mode in the Anomaly Launcher like shown below
When you've enabled debug mode, go ingame, load a save, then press F7 and you're in debug mode. Since you want to spawn objects into the world or in your inventory, in debug mode press 1 on your keyboard and you're in the object spawn menu. Then simply choose the category and item you want and click on its icon. It will spawn in your inventory.

You have to do what @meager cradle said, You open the install folder location for where you have Anomaly installed, double click the Anomaly.exe, tick "Debug mode" in the launcher, launch the game, close it, open the Gamma mod like normal, launch it, load your save, press F7 which opens the debug menu, then press "1" or click the "item spawner (1)" button, then go to "Items (artefacts)" and start clicking artefacts on the list, left click adds them to your inventory, after you get the notification for the task pop up you know you have at least one of the artefacts you need, then you keep spawning them until you get all of the ones you need, then you go to the guy you turn the task into, "the job is done" and then "donate" the remaining artefacts to a random stalker/trader, to donate items you just right click them and press "donate", Also before doing this I'd suggest going into godmode to prevent radiation poisoning, easiest way to do that is by pressing F7 then pressing "G", it should say in the console window thing on the left side of the debug menu "God enabled_1" or something, and then in the bottom right hand of your screen while playing it'll say "DEMO" while in godmode, after you're done press F7, and "G" again, and you're good to go. if it doesn't want to disable it by pressing "G", then you may have to click the "God" button in the F7 debug menu.
If you need more help I can walk you through it via screen share if necessary.
Another way you can do it if you don't want to donate a bunch of spare artefacts to people, is to figure out the artefacts you need just like I explained before, but after figuring out the exact ones you need, you reload your save, and only spawn those 1 or 2 artefacts, then you just repeat the steps I said previously, and you're good to go.

What are the real differences between difficulties? Are medium and hard just damage buffs for NPC's? Or do they better accuracy or something? For progression difficulty is it less availability at traders with less faction rep per task or?
You can see all the differences in the Settings menu > Difficulty progression.
Create two, or more, saves with different difficulties and compare their settings.
Is there a way to get specific armor parts? I had 100k already but running in 0% gear because I cannot find specific parts and a lot of armors use kinda unique parts that not many other armors have.

"Hardcore AI Aim" makes NPCs have near perfect tracking while you are moving. You won't be able to run or move during firefights without becoming swiss cheese.

There's probably a preset of difficulties somewhere among the gamma add-ons. No idea where though.
go into the details of the armor you want to repair and see what repair kit it needs. Get /craft that kit and have it in your inventory. Use sewing kits and other materials to repair any of the parts you do have for that armor as high as you can get them. Use a techs vice to repair that armor as much as you can even you are missing some components. You need to get the armor above a certain overall condition % so that you can then repair it with sewing kits, etc. As you increase the overall condition of the armor the separate components will have better and better condition.

might want to disable hooking in your global profile in Riva and just add specific .exe's when you need monitoring

There's no wiki for outfit parts. Just disassemble any outfit you aren't going to use, and take any >50% parts you haven't seen before.

best way to go about collected armor parts is by doing what aldourien told you, disassemble any outfits you see and take the parts that are above 50% since they can be repaired
also you might want to collect the ones with a hammer in their icon since they are used for crafting even if they are low condition

In the end, it's the choice of the end-user. However, should any problems arise we can point to that as the first step of troubleshooting.
i play all my games with afterburner and rivatuner ON, i use rivatuner to cap my fps and didnt have any issue in gamma

You can try to disable everything related to BHS (Body Health System), but it won't leave much left of the modpack—and will most likely cause a lot of crashing and bugs.

It's already a passive effect of campfires. If you mean 'how do I increase the rate?' you'll have to dig into the scripts and .ltx-files.

For g-sync users here : You can use v-sync while using g-sync without input lag increase or performance hit. That is the way gsync was designed to work back in the day. Don't know why but traders (at least Sidorovich) are a little bit laggy, for example, if I double click on one item or with Shift, it takes a second to let me move the cursor again

Ok nvm i read the installer. Yes it seems if an addon gets updated, we now need to do a complete reinstall if it's wanted. I might go back to just manually updating stuff.
Populate mods does check for versions and already downloaded mods. Old message before I checked.. 
you dont have to update everytime a mod gets a new version, updating gamma became much easier now and updating mods happens every few days or even weeks so its not something you should do often

sometimes you will find old ammo, but as soon as you loot it it will turn into normal ammo
think i probably messed something up when i replaced the installer with the new 3.2

thats what happened then, unless its in your inventory then its not a problem and the mod is working as intended

dismantle most outfits/head gear, slap better pieces on the gear you want then use appropriate kit for the rest of the way

depends, hard to find ones are still good cause it can bump overall condition over 50
then you can use repair kits on the gear itself
yes, they can be enabled but disabling them is more of an issue unless you can take down what already spawned
advanced tools can be crafted using 5 basic toolkits or found in marked stashes in agroprom/army warehouses/dead city/dark valley and even further north
disassemble all outfits and collect any parts that are 50% + since they can be repaired

Hey everyone! Enjoying the modpack, but I'm new here and am having random crashes in Outskirts playing Monolith story mode. Can't seem to narrow it down, and the crash logs seem to reference different things each time. Sometimes something about radiation zones, other times about missing files, etc.
I've gone through the steps in the troubleshooting channel under the "crashing after fresh install" section to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I haven't added any other mods than the ones included in GAMMA also.
how many mods active and are there any red crosses on any mods (besides maids icons)? and is this story mode only ?

Story mode only, Mod Organizer 2 shows 273 active mods. One shows a red cross, seems to be an inactive icons pack.

did you get any errors while installing the pack in the cmd? did you try doing a complete installation ? i am not sure what could be causing this error unless its missing mod files but its highly unlikely with that error i think
Not the main installer window, but the secondary command line window did display a few errors when installing, but I can't recall exactly what they said.
After noticing, and seeing the message in the updates channel here I followed the "if you have issues" instructions from the updates_pack channel. The black command line window displayed more, but different looking, errors from what I recall. Can't say for sure what they said though, sorry. Does that window produce a log somewhere I could post?
If it helps, in game I am running from the entrance to Outskirts from Pripyat northwards towards the movie theatre. Game crashes when I get about halfway there in different spots.
the installer itself does generate a log in gammaRC3/grok's modpack installer but not sure if much can be found there, what version is the installer you have ?

when screenshotting and recording stuff with Radeon ReLive -or whatever it's called- in anomaly, all the recordings would go to the folder named "anomaly", but when playing gamma all of the screenshots and videos go to the "unknown" folder, which is the same one for desktop screenshots and etc., does anyone know why that is?
if you're launching it from MO2 that could be why. try launching your gamma install directly from the exe in the anomaly folder and see if that makes a difference.
or it could be that you are on borderless ? try fullscreen ?

Other junk artifacts can still spawn there, so you might have mistook one for a quest artifact. Check again and if you really cant find anything, you can use debug to spawn them in. They bug out and disappear sometimes (never happened to me)
all the quest artifacts are prefixed by ah_ in the debug menu, so just spawn each of them in until the quest updates (and discard the rest)

Seems moreso to do with what you have your companions doing at the time of a fast travel. I stop steath and make sure they are following me. Never had an issue if I do both of those things before a fast travel.

FDDA is turned off as its causing issues
FDDA is still in the modpack, only the eating, drinking, and medical animations are activated.
If you really want to test your luck by using the field dressing animations you can enable them in MCM.
I have had them on for a week. Have not noticed any issues
You can use field dressing animations, I do as well. You just have to be very deliberate about your actions to not get 'busy hands'.

This is bugged. The entrance to the underground section is to the NW part of the map in Generators. It's where you meet the medic in Strelok's team in Operation Afterglow. It looks like a cave entrance. When you go to the back of that there's a broken elevator (lift) top. You can squeeze through the fence gap and then climb the stairs down to the right. Down there's a large complex based on The Brain Scorcher complex. At the end of it, at the top of all the staircases in a massive room is where that artifact is SUPPOSED to spawn.
However, it is bugged. It spawns above that level, and from the surface in the middle of Generators map it appears below ground.
There are 2 ways around this. 1. Using Game Record mode in debug you can go through the ground (or up from below) into the slight terrain cavity to grab the aftifact. This is the complicated way.
or 2. You can simply spawn the artifact from the debug menu. Sorry, but I can't remember its name off the top of my head.
I did make a post about this spawn error somewhere in feedback at about 1am this morning, my time.

quick question -- since ultimately it's just a mo2 installation, it should be possible to opt-out of some mods right? i'm not a huge fan of stuff like weapon parts overhaul
WPO is fairly heavily integrated with the modpack. You can try to disable it, along with other addons that correlate to it—but you'll quickly find that the modpack will be quite bare boned.

You can, but expect crashes, bugs, and other potential problems if you begin gutting out the modpack more than the add-ons under "Optionals".

No they'll work completely independently

Make sure it's not installed with "Global", better yet, uninstall it
It's better to have multiple portable instances instead of just one that can bring issues (especially with GAMMA)

May this be due to the mod that lets you skin mutants with the knife in your backpack? In vanilla Anomaly you have to have to knife in your hands, so maybe thats the reason

so i kinda fucked up, yesterday i went to the swamps to get the shit from the doc and do some quests for clear sky, when i came up to the church i noticed a guy tucked away in the corner, he was wearing a brown seva or spp so i killed him with my scoped sks cause i thought he was a bandit, turns out he was an egghead, he had a veles so i didnt bother quick loading a previous save cause i just got a massive upgrade (or so i thought, cause i havent found a single usefull artifact and i went artifact hunting for like 3 in game days whilst completing the clear sky quests, artifact addon really making me work for these artifacts), i did notice his body didnt despawn whenever i went past the church so i thought he was some important character, lo and behold today i go back to rookie village to grab the rest of my shit and get the progression on the clear sky quest from sidorovich and i stumble accross this guy wearing a blue sunrise with a suppressed lr300, turns out hes a quest giver, and the quest he gave me was to go meet the egghead i had killed yesterday in the church, quest fails as soon as i accept it so is there a way to bring that egghead back to life so i can do the quest?

And yes IIRC your user.ltx will be changed so if you did something specific, take it out and put it back again when the installer is done

but it means that you are getting burned slowly, damaging your outfit/health
you can't avoid it with that outfit, either get equipment that resist fire damage or just ignore the artefact
or you could just run quickly grab it and run back, but doubt you can resist the damage you will die

It could also be area-specific. Since I'm sure the Boiler anomaly turns your screen red.

Probably area-specific then, and that dynamic anomaly areas don't tint your screen. 🤷

I know for certain some Burner anomalies don't tint the screen. Those that appear randomly.

This one works because it's a hard-coded heat area in the game. The other randomly spawned areas doesn't have this.

In the MCM there should be the option for "Limit fast travel"
Should allow a minimum of 1 hour, if you want to keep paying money, but have a low cooldown.
If you want neither, you can toggle it in the mod loader

artefact prices have been increased but they spawn on lower conditions so you have to empower them first

use cover, dont get flanked (yes they can do that), aim for the head or legs and use the correct ammo type if you have it(AP ammo for stalkers or at least FMJ, HP for mutants)
yeeeeah, these guys are really good at flanking me. I'm really happy with the AI, they actually play like they dont want to get shot 🙂
what is the gun you are using? also make sure you are using a gun with no less than 90% barrel condition, barrel condition affects damage significantly
