Yep, the effect is doubled. I get a very intensified NVG image through the PIP-scope.

just had your scope bug. It happened because Hip was behind me with her light on and I was in front with NV on. So her light got into my scope and that fucks it up. Saving and loading solved it for me
so if playing a faction not so friendly to ecologists, you'd have to just blast your way to Sakharov?

you need some kind of tools to access the workbench or pay a mechanic to use his workbench, the parts needed and the repairkit needed - in gamma the repair kit can have only one use left since replacing parts does not use up charges
oh and make sure the parts are repaired/at 100% or they will be of little use
I picked up a dual optics kit for picketinny rails, how do I switch between the optics when their equipped to the rifle?
i usualy rebind the keybind via MCM something scopes something to the Key 6, single press will take of the scope double press will change to the next possible scope if its in your inventory

oh for some reason replacing parts on weapons does not "repair" them so you will have to replace the parts and use repair items to get them to 100%

if you have a field repair kit (you can buy them at any mechanic or find them in stashes, sometimes they drop on enemies) or threat (also can be bought at mechanics, and the same to the rest) in your inventory and parts that can be repaired, just double click the kit/threat, this does take charges tho

So im still confused, on how and why the RF receivers and the Geiger counters and i think the bear detectors (didnt got anything bigger than that with RC3), display is really hard to nearly impossible to read. Only visual i have disabled is the agressor reshade since it sadly eats to much performance from my potato and the light with it enabled legit hurts my gremlin eyes

Okay so i think i fixed the non readable display shit, since updating and deleting shader cache folder did sadly not help, basicly all i did was a fresh install, with only a bit of trouble shooting and now it seems fine - all i can assume is that while switching from RC1 to RC3 something got messed up, and or the Update yesterday did not get downloaded/applied properly
i think grok said the change to fix the displays needed a complete installation or to reinstall the mod manually
i dont remember which mod it was tho
i did all of that and it only now works after killing it with fire and giving it new live with Phoenix dawn

thats why i was confused like grok released an update addressing the issue 5min after i noticed it for the first time

do tasks for their faction, every 500 goodwill will result in one level of supplies. Note that Mechanics only level up if you give them Tool kits

oh, so you have to destroy another gun to remove it and then attach it to the new one?
you also can use the repair kit to replace the barrel via maintain parts option, but that will use up one charge of the repair kit
for that you have the gun and the right repair kit in your inventory and right click the gun>maintain parts>replace/clean barrel
that way you dont need a new barrel but you use up charges
also, when i rented the vice and used it, it played an animation but nothing happened
did you make sure to "confirm" before leaving the workbench?

if you use the workbench it should open a menu with like 3 tabs (repair, upgrade, craft) and only play an animation if you press ESC to leave it or if you took longer than 5 IRL minutes and the technician "kicks" you of his workbench

How do I disable the degradation of specifically perk artifacts and all artifacts in general?

i think this issue of degradation of the Phantom Star may have something to do with the "6 minutes of use" mentioned in its description. seems like it has a custom script component. the other perk artifacts i have collected do NOT degrade, just as intended

what part of them are you shooting at? you can get a general feeling on how stronk your AP is (you are talking about BR3 in case of 5.56 or 5.45 FMJ, but what you are describing nearly sounds like the use of HP - which is holo point both with a BR of 1) if you read this #│📚manual message
I do not use HP, that is exclusive to mutant hunting, I use FMJ in those scenarios

And which parts? I go body/head, it's kind of ridiculous how many times I clearly tap them in the head with visual blood splat and flinch they get, that after 3 shots they just waddle to the side
So now going for the legs, and this is for trench coat wearing motherfuckers that I suspect use FMJ against me and body me faster when I wear the same exact clothing

it might be that the visuals do not actually relate to what the NPC is packing, but thats just a guess on my side - also sometimes i have a hard time telling apart medium armours from heavy ones (Berrils from Skat9 for example)

That hasn't occurred though, those which I've killed and looted would wear the armor which is on their 3d model
it could be a heavy trench coat with a helmet they have better BR ratings if memory serves
also have seen models like from bandits with trench coats and ballistic vests, didnt notice the vest until i went to loot them, they took quite a few hits (5 body shots) with FMJ, but that was back in RC1 not sure if this model is still around

Howdy folks, possibly stupid question. Whenever there's a lack of light on the screen, the contrast seems to drop. Very minor issue, just kinda annoying. It doesn't seem to be related to Resahde, and I fiddled with the Dynamic Tonemap options and it didn't seem to fix it. Any ideas?

hmm thats wierd, how ever i see a ballistic helmet and a plate carrier vest on that dude, so you might be shooting at a target at least in the BR 4 range with BR 3 ammo either that your your install is somehow fucked. because if that dude was in the BR 3 range your FMJ is suited for he would have been ded or bleeding out after max 5 shots on that range with that gun

would anyone know how Post healing works ive taken a bunch of meds to heal my leg but it hasn't improved

ive used meds that have white dots for the leg in particular Anabiotics and Fentayl
in the example im showing you would heal your arms and legs to a certain amount but not your torso since the post heal does not affect the torso. It would get a temporary boost from the first aid tho, also post heal can not be higher than your first aid
However, if you get injured in a limb that has temp. healing on it—the temp. healing will not drain first. Instead it'll directly affect the remaining permanent health of that limb.

How can I revert back ammo drop rates like from rc1 ? Rc3 made ammo drops like in a missery. Which means CqB at this point is not an option if you are not aiming at the head. Max 10 bullets per body ? Rly ? This is stalker experience ? That's EFP type of shit.

In addition, you can craft bullets from unwanted ones—and even buy bullets if you're just holding down M1 at anything.

I am in Limansk now. Had like 200 bullets for FN Scar. Right now barely 100. And I haven't reached a middle of the map
It's not working for me. No matter the optimisations my laptop can not handle heat that gpu produces. Which means, gpu overheats up to 90c all the time and limits its self from major meltdown 
I haven't tested it myself, but you can go into MCM > Drop Condition and increase the amount dropped for bullets.
In the beggining of the winter, room had 20c and game ran just fine. But winter season came and homes got warmer. So having 26c in a room does not help too for pc cooling

I identified the issue, in my save, my M4 has a pretty screwed barrel which in turn causes it to do like shit tier damage. I went to debug mode, spawned some novice Renegades, shot at them with my M4, 5-6 shots to the head to kill them at like 1-2 meters, spawned a fresh M4, insta 1 tap at the same range. Decided to replicate it and was able to, disassembled my old M4, added the broken barrel to the clean one, bam, same 5-6 shots just like with my own M4. Dunno if this is intentional or not though ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Broken barrels deal less damage, this is intended.

been a while sinc ei have played and am confused about healing and health bars
each medical item has properties that you can read, basically to heal you will need something with first aid(yellow dots) and then something with post heal(white dots)
an example of this is using a bandage to first aid your arms and legs and then to use an ibuprofen to post heal them
how am I supposed to survive blowouts in this? I go to shelters and still die, even in Sid's bunker I just croak
there is a certain spot on the staircase that cant be used as a shelter
make sure you are not on that spot (the game will tell you if you are in a shelter or not)

For the combo sights on the RPK-15, is there a way to swap between the main scope and the 45 degree red dot?
Does anyone know how or where I could add unused scopes to certain weapons? The Dushmans Saiga, for example, has a picatinny rail but will only let you use red dots. Which sucks because I love using the Saiga as a pseudo-DMR with a PSO and slugs.
In the w_saiga12s_m2.ltx file there's a big section at the bottom labeled "NOT IN USE". Pretty much all of the NATO scopes with any kind of zoom are there, plus some extras. I tried just adding the scopes I wanted to scopes = section on line 82, but since there's no .ogf file for it to reference, it just showed up in-game as having no scope on it.
I tried looking up how to frankenstein another .ogf's scope models onto the saiga m2, and got as far as AXRToolset, before realizing that viewer=/=editor, and I'd need something expensive like Autodesk Maya.
I had trouble with that, too. Your underbarrel grenade launcher bind should work.

They appear the further north you are.
I can't confirm when they start to spawn, but I found Expert Tools in Pripyat / Outskirts.
I am guessing it is like CoP where you obtain them in Pripyat. I was finding Advanced tools in Jupiter and Zaton I believe.

some of them have been at the same max carry weight since I first got them
my guess is that the system does not change their capabilities when they achieve a higher rank
the carry weight probably has to do with their outfit but the outfit is based on rank

but do you know, FOR SURE, that their AI also changes when they go from for example Experienced to Veteran to Master?
