For any of my fellow Linux Users: I was fighting the same problem as many of the Windows fellas here, where your FPS drop and afterwards stay capped at around half your usual framerate when opening any Menu/Inventory. There is an easy way to set CPU Core Affinity (which fixes the problem) in Linux by using either of these 2 Mods. the thing is fresh installing is not 100% reliable and is itself, error prone
scrubbing everything to do a fresh install can actually create new errors (and it might not even solve your original issue, considering that the DX8/9 profile doesn't come with the fresh GAMMA install)

Generally there is very few issues that require to start from scratch anyway

a good handful of things have explainations as to why it happens and can be either worked around or fixed

well yeah i mean there's always the occasional true "what the actual fuck". but for something like "dx8 profile doesn't launch" there's a lot of potential fixes to the issue, depending on why, and most of them are pretty simple fixes (re-extract the profile, maybe missing mods, etc.)

far as I know, easiest thing to do is downgrade the launcher

2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

well yeah because that's a file that you really are meant to fetch from github each time, on account of it being one of the files that tells the launcher which version the Github is on versus its local copy

Well, the core issue causing that crash is "the really fucked up nasty state of the configs for the AK-105 kits", fixed in the latest version of 3DSS
so updating 3DSS, solves it in the majority of cases
if it didn't work by installing it through the launcher I was going to make you manually copy the mod files into the correct folders

Hi. GAMMA RC3 file don't finish the download. It shows as all this 10.6 GB are dowloaded, but the download do not finish. Only gamma file had this problem. oh.. same 3DSS issue as the other guy so i'll just jump straight to manual extraction + fix

1. Download the mod manually from this link
2. Open it in 7z, open the 3D Shader Scopes for GAMMA folder, copy the gamedata folder
3. In MO2, find the mod 410- 3DSS for GAMMA - Redotix99 & Andtheherois & party50, right click -> Open in Explorer
4. Delete the gamedata folder in there
5. Paste your copied gamedata folder into the 410- 3DSS for GAMMA - Redotix99 & Andtheherois & party50 folder

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.

Bug:
When a campfire icon is too close to the House icon, on the PDA, and you try to right click on the House icon to, for example, fast travel, the context menu does not show the correct available context actions because you're technically clicking on the campfire icon instead of the house because they have higher Z-index, which places them above the House's icon.

Sometimes, if you zoom in to the max, you can manage to click on the House, but in some cases, like in the Swamps, even doing so, it's impossible.

Solution:
Change Z-index value of all House icons to be above all others.
This will also fix having to disable Area Circles, which, at the moment, also have higher Z-index than the houses.

Question:
Is there, perhaps, a mod that fixes this, of which I might not be aware?

Assuming you are on the latest version of GAMMA, try any one of these at a time (in no particular order) to see if it helps with stutters or microfreezes:

1. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
2. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
3. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
4. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
5. Try using Meatchunk's prefetcher for G.A.M.M.A (needs 12Gb of Free RAM), in the Alternative Addons & Patches category (only works on vanilla GAMMA, may break with custom mods, recommend having a total of 32GB RAM)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS
7. Consider looking at #╰⚡fps-optimisation for a performance boost, if that channel is locked go here to unlock: #⏩start-confirm
8. In game, go to Settings > Modded Exes > Optimization > Lua Garbage Collector and increase this bit by bit until microstutters/freezes stop. Default value is 300, people seem to find that 750-800 is the sweet spot, this will depend on your hardware

Disable the game utilizing core 0 on your cpu, either using process lasso which youll only have to do once. Or using task manager(which youll have to do everytime you boot up the game.) That can help alot as alot of windows programs run on core 0 as well

Manually replace 3DSS files

1. Download the mod manually from this link
2. Open it in 7z, open the 3D Shader Scopes for GAMMA folder, copy the gamedata folder
3. In MO2, find the mod 410- 3DSS for GAMMA - Redotix99 & Andtheherois & party50, right click -> Open in Explorer
4. Delete the gamedata folder in there
5. Paste your copied gamedata folder into the 410- 3DSS for GAMMA - Redotix99 & Andtheherois & party50 folder
6. Refresh MO2 (F5 key or click the icon at the top)
7. Try to play

Instead, do this:
