I am having trouble launching gamma itself. When I try and launch gamma through the anomaly launcher as instructed the default windows 11 error sound plays but I don't get the message or code that you would expect with an error. Anyone know a fix?

Greetings guys, i recently bought nvme kingston kc3000 1tb and installed win 11 ltsc 24h2
previously i had sata ssd and win 10 ltsc year 2019 and gamma was on it
had no problem with it everything was smooth
i copied anomaly and gamma folder to my new drive and now i have giga annoying frametime or smthn like that its not like stutter but super short stutters during gameplay when stationary rotating camera or running, please guys any ideas?

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

• In MO2, press CTRL+M (or go to File --> Install mod...)
• Choose the Ace52 that you downloaded and put into GAMMA/downloads (filename is Ace52_Retextured_Source_File.1.z)
• In the Name file, put EXACTLY 288- ACE52 Rifle Replacer - Firebreath
• It should be at the very end of your modlist. Right click it -> Send to... -> Priority... -> 255
• Enable the mod

-When I start a new game, despite selecting anything else, I start as a Loner

Well not sure what I did in the options. But sometimes artefacts just randomly spawn in anomalies and they are really good. found a dragoneye and I blow things up. Seems like it wasn't just suppose to spawn so easily I didn't even use a detector. They never spawn before like that.

4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

If you get the error 1311 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:

1. Try restarting your PC.
2. If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
3. If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 8 / DirectX 9 (use !dx in #🤖bot-commands for instructions on how to switch).

After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

Cause it needed to be extracted in gamma RC3 see, you have 2: folders

GAMMA and GAMMA RC3

GAMMA RC3 is your real GAMMA folder (it isn't supposed to be like that cause its not supposed to make a subfolder)

So if you just extracted it into GAMMA it won't ask to override anything cause it's essentially empty

Infact screenshot that folder named GAMMA for all intends in purposes if I say from now on: "show GAMMA folder" I mean the folder named GAMMA RC3 in your system

Pre-0.9.4 Saves Fix, inside the Alternative Addons & Patches category.

Pre-0.9.4 Saves Fix, inside the Alternative Addons & Patches category.
This "fix" is only a temporary solution. Starting a new game is highly recommended.

If you get the error 1311 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:

1. Try restarting your PC.
2. If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
3. If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 8 / DirectX 9 (use !dx in #🤖bot-commands for instructions on how to switch).

After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

• 431- 3DSS ISG AK Makeover - Andtheherois & BAS Team

If this method doesn't work then you will have to make a new save.

1. Make sure you have the latest GAMMA launcher (currently, v6.7.0.0)

If you don't have the latest launcher, use !v6 in #🤖bot-commands and follow instructions.

2. Temporarily disable your antivirus if you have Avast, AVG, Norton or Malwarebytes
3. Close Mod Organizer 2
4. Open the GAMMA Launcher
5. (optional) Disable "force git download" and "force zip extraction". This will make it go quicker.
6. Click "Install / Update" and wait for it to finish completely.
7. Re-open Mod Organizer 2.

it's not clear. the most likely reason is an issue with a broken texture file... or broken texture description... but the error NEVER specifies which texture is broken. So it could be any of the tens of thousands of textures added in the GAMMA modpack, or possibly even any of the textures from the base Anomaly game, and there is no way to tell what it would be

Plus, reinstalling from scratch is not always reliable, reinstalling from scratch can introduce new errors even if you followed every step perfectly, because installing GAMMA relies on factors that you cannot control (like moddb server speed/reliability)

of course i am only assuming this is caused by a texture issue, it could be some other third unrelated thing that we have no way to figure out either.

and you would only run into this issue when the game tries to load that broken file, which means you COULD go your entire playthrough without ever hitting this issue. Or get unlucky and instantly have the D3D crash.

I tried changing zones/equipment with the DX11, but it still crashes.
DX9 is certainly smoother, and doesn't crash (at least for the moment), but dammmm, it's uglier, some weapons have disappeared from my inventory, and the sights have become hideous XD

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First close the GAMMA launcher.
2. Go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe as administrator.

Killing NPCs, mostly important ones (medics, merchants, technicians) can cause your game to crash. In that case, either leave game crashing NPCs alone, or keep killing them until the game stops crashing.

If you really can't leave that or a bunch of NPCs alone, use #╭📖faq message instruction to enable Debug and kill 'em via Debug menu (F7 - K)
