@drowsy onyx if you were able to extract into that folder initially you should have permissions to do this, make sure there is not a UAC popup.

Before clicking install/update Gamma turn off File Shield and Web shield (in Avast) for more than 10 minutes. Or just turn off Avast entirely (preferably permanently).

Hello, sorry to interrupt, but is there a way to turn off the self repair mod? I disabled Grokitach overhaul, but mechanics still refuse to take on repairs and upgrading. I tried disabling the whole Craft and Repair tab, but it just crashes the game. I'm not really into grinding for parts or upgrades by myself, I would just tweak with the repairs' pricing, so no access to mechanics is a real pain for me and literally ruins the game

Need help. Game crashes constantly on dx11. (no, i do not want to go back to dx9 since that shit is ugly) Gamma is updated. Anomaly is updated. Drivers are updated. Tried doing gimicky shit on nvidia control panel, never worked. Tried core 0 thingamajig, worked for a bit until I decided to leave the game. Afterwards tried doing core 0 again, didn't work.

  • Re-plug in your headphones or speakers before you start the game (Also try different ports)
  • Play any kind of music or sound file as you open the game, e.g. music on your PC or on Youtube

Well it looks like you just got an error from it, if you can't repeat it, it was probably just a random crash, especially since it's coming from ledge grabbing

If you crash upon changing your resolution in game, you can change it before launching the game. In Anomaly/appdata/user.ltx look for the vid_mode line and change it to the resolution you like.

Is there an actual fix for the infinite loading screens that happen sometimes? I know about the debug mode to fix it but it's only temporary, the bug happens again pretty often. Just curious if there is a more permanent solution.

  1. Collapse the categories in MO2, by sorting mods by Priority and close the categories by using the arrows on the left side (first picture for reference below).
  2. Screenshot your MO2 by using Shift + Win + S.

1.) Go to your GAMMA\downloads folder and delete ScreenSpaceShaders_Updatex.x.zip (x.x. means version number, and yes delete them all if you have multiple of those zip files)

If you have the error Can't find variable class in [march_f_shorty], do the following:

  • Find the mod 428- Authentic Reticle for 3DSS - Napolemon
  • Right click -> Open in Explorer, go to gamedata/configs, open the file mod_system_zzzzz_3ds_gamma_scopes_shorty.ltx
  • Find this line, and delete it

@unborn elbow And btw, yesterday or the day before I talk to you about freeze in game (you know, you have no choice to end programm to exit game)
so, I'm not sure if there's a connection, since these freezes were random, but I noticed that it started right after I got the expert tools. And as I guess like many players, I immediately upgraded my equipment. Especially the night vision goggles to level 3.
After thinking about it a bit, I went back to level 2 goggles and since NOT a single freeze. Random CTDs yes, but no freezes.
Maybe it's nothing to do with it, but just in case I'm reporting it.

in my original post i explained that upon first install initialisation at step 5 where it directs you to select anomaly folder but dont open - it rejected and said something i cant remember then proceeded to continue in the gamma folder, fast forward im here now after 2 fresh installs and mo2 doesnt read any mods, directory is set in anomaly and after install nothing, only thing i can think of now is to force mods into anomaly folder itself but if thats the case i may as well wipe everything and install again
