❓ ❓ Where does the game source user.ltx? The one from the Anomaly/appdata folder? Or should it be a different one? The reason i ask is i followed the installation and the one in anomaly/appdata and the one in a folder called modpack_patches in GAMMA's installation folder (Which i didn't install/copy as the guide didnt say to), both have wildly different values, and even whole sections and variables that don't exist. Is this an oversight on some part of the guide? Wht's the story here?

Touching vanilla settings can be painful for modpack since there are shaders and such already overwriting original settings

I've stumbled upon something stupid and it seems to be connected to how adjustable sights work (notably Leupold and SPECTR) - they can crash the game on adjusting the zoom action during ADS:

1. Equip an adjustable sight on your gun,
2. RMB to enter ADS,
3. Adjust the sight so it magnifies the zoom,
4. For some reason it contracts the zoom and the entire screen goes completely black shortly after, besides the player model - see the other screenshot for how it looks when ADS is disengaged,
5. Make an attempt at adjusting the sight once more so it magnifies the zoom, but the game crashes on this action

I don't know if there are any pre-requirements for this to happen, but it seemed to occur shortly after having your view model exposed to inertia (like standing close to a wall and being unable to shoot) and equipping the sight, and shortly after adjusting its zoom this would happen. This is wildly inconsistent though, but most often I had noticed it happen after swapping to an adjustable sight mid-combat.

Should I look for a consistent repro and report this?

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.

How to give mechanics back the ability to repair/upgrade?

5. Place the mod at the end of the list(sorted by priority) and tick the box

3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Stuck at around 396-400 mods downloaded? Try the steps below:

1. Download the file from one of the archives below:

you can make as many save files as you want if you make hard saves (as in, Esc -> Save -> type in a save name)

there's no such thing as "per character" saves

although quicksaves and autosaves have a limited number of slots, and they will overwrite eventually.

so... just make a new hard save for different characters.

1) Go to this folder: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches
2) Copy these four folders (check pic)
3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste these four folders (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

There is a correct way to reinstall the SSS mod - I forget what the command is, and I have messed with it in the past without issue. I have also messed with things that also got the shader compilation error, and simply defaulting everything was what I did to fix it.

IF you have the downloaded archives from the "How to Install" it may save the most amount of headache. However, before you do that, you can try reinstalling the "190" mod. IIRC when you are installing there is a point that requires checkboxes filled in. There is only 1 that doesn't need checked. I forget what it is but it's considered (optional) . You could try that before deleting everything.

The jury is still out on what fixed the issue, but the issue is resolved lol. This game is like that sometimes. I got a crash today that I can only attribute to a mutant getting into a flash anomaly and vanishing. Reload the game from the last save, and the problem went away. There are things that can happen that are random and no one can really explain how/why.

I am facing a weird issue - every time i talk to a companion (Hip, specifically), her icon/marker disappears from the PDA and minimap. I did not notice that happening before with temporary companions from tasks, and i sure used some of them as loot mules.

Seems to be "fixed" by (so far, only) traveling between regions and reloading a save. Noteworthy, the icon reappears if i save after it's gone an then reload, so it does not persist. Ofc happens again as soon as i next talk to her.
A bit annoying to deal with if you intend on spending more time in one region. I tried looking up solutions/fixes but nothing :c

You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.

I just updated GAMMA to the latest version about 20 mins ago and when attempting to load up the game I get this error. Looks like it can't find a weapon somewhere. Anyone got some ideas of how I can fix this? It causes an immediate CTD when I attempt to load a new game. Main menu and everything is fine

6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

There are currently files in your Overwrite directory. These files are typically newly created files, usually generated by an external mod tool (i.e. Wrye Bash, xEdit, FNIS, ...). the thing you did was install GAMMA and Anomaly in a subfolder, called games which contained both of them (which it shouldn't cause it just causes issues) as they gotta be in the root of ur hard-drive, in their own respective install folder
