Turn your anti virus and firewall off (Defender, McAfee, Norton, etc) temporarily to just update / download the GAMMA mods and when done, turn it back on.

When turning off your anti-virus and firewall it should look like this:

Stuck at around 396-400 mods downloaded? Try the steps below:

1. Download the file from one of the archives below:

2. Go to your GAMMA folder and delete the downloads folder
3. Using 7Zip, extract downloads12-09.7z into the GAMMA folder

The RIGHT way of extracting the archive : Right click on the archive -> 7zip -> Extract files -> Choose your [Gamma directory], REMOVE the check mark on this step, this is mandatory. At the end you should get downloads folder (NOT downloads12-09)

4. Run GAMMA Launcher as Admin, Then set your checkboxes as in the image below⠀⠀⠀
5. Click Install/Update GAMMA

Sometimes when you want to disable some mods before starting a new game you may face LoadoutInjector fatal error - to avoid that you need to start new game with 507 mods enabled - save - then disable any mod you dont want and load the game.

I figured out how to delete the folder using 7-zip of all things.
Ask it to "add an archive" out of the one level lower mods folder, and check the box to delete files after compression.

Then delete the compressed file.

Just to confirm, yes, the issues were coming from the Backend.

The Launcher has a weird way of parsing, Grok used his own mod as a Placeholder to still populate the required fields with something, so that the Launcher doesn't parse empty information.

With the newest Backend Update I literally combated that behaviour by specifically ignoring the Placeholders and not populating the lines, which lead to these Folders being overfilled:

• FDDA Immersive Sleep Patch
• Grulag's Dead Bushes
• Longreed's fixed artefacts spawns under maps
• Gunslinger Guns for Anomaly
• Retrogue's Additional Weapons
• Steyr Scout

I´ve been a naughty boy and played with the stalker respawn rates. It tanked my fps. Did the debug delete common squads stuff. My question is, when does everything respawn as it was? Earlier updates were glitching and downloaded a lot of extra stuff.
The solution, after they fixed the backend problem, was to delete the GAMMA\mods folder and start over.

Hey man, idk if this’ll help you or not but I simply updated gamma from the installer and then from main menu put it on the lowest 16:9 ratio with max settings and was able to start a game without any issues and then slowly but surely put all settings back to how I run gamma (isn’t that different from max) first and then restart then hop back in and set resolution back to desired and I’ve run into no problems yet.

Main menu music is tied to music slider. But PAUSE menu is tied to SFX slider by mistake. There is a mod you can use to disable the pause music if that's what you want, so if you tab out or check settings it won't start blasting your eardrums out.

You can also disable main menu music alone in addition to that if you want to keep in-game music but have no music in menus whatsoever

If you use black market like tank said, that's the most official way so to speak, but it is also adjustable in price if you want.

the interior decorations take up a lot of space but the things they sell are still useful and valid outside of that and they increase their inventories as you rank up with them, but, if you use the black market mod, pretty much all the traders outside of the most poor areas will be able to sell you a gun and armor every day, for a very high price, because it lets you skip all of the work of getting it together. BUT, since you can adjust the price multiplier, you can make it not that expensive if that's what you want. But honestly if the problem is more that the repairing sytem seems confusing or difficult, IMO, it's much easier than I thought it was. I spent years NEVER using any self-repair mechanics and just buying the guns off traders because I assumed it was going to be tedious and boring
