fyi the game's audio is maybe the crustiest, jankiest, oldest part of it

I have a Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen audio interface and it does have problems with windows sometimes, but I managed to somehow make it work.
The weird part is that now it's only stuttery for the game audio, and if I unplug the interface and put it back on the game has no more sound and the only way I can make it work is by closing the game completely and restarting it, but after that it immediately starts stuttering again

yeah so the game audio engine is so old, it cannot change output device after the game starts, which is why unplugging the interface = no more audio from the game

i figure there's some sort of driver incompatibility for the focusrite 2i2, you actually aren't the first person to report issues with it + GAMMA/Anomaly

(i run my PC audio through a DAC+Amp stack and have no issues but mine is also, I assume, way simpler)

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe.
3. Copy and paste the following command:

git config --global --add safe.directory '*'
and press Enter.

4. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.

After another crash, reloading a save file crashes the game with the following error. I thought maybe the save had gotten corrupted, so I reloaded an earlier one, and it also crashes the game with the same error. It only happens with my merc character, my monolith one loads just fine. So I decided to try and start a new game as a merc and it also crashes the game as soon as it loads with the same error. Is there a fix to it? I assume it's not the save that got corrupted, but some voice line file, based on the name of the corrupted file.

The weird thing is that I cannot give them any other dialog apart from Okay, and I already got my reward. Further more the location waypoint to bring them back (at the bunker is clearly there). 4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Crash Report during Psy-Storms

I've encountered a consistent crash whenever a psy-storm starts, about one minute after finding shelter. The crash error is related to the surge manager script. Below is the error message

It seems like the variable surge_manager_ignore_npc is not being initialized correctly, causing the game to crash.
I have not installed any additional mods and haven’t tweaked the game at all. Any help or updates to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Alright here we go so this isn't so much an 'issue' as it is a constant PITA inconvenience:
Any time there's any kind of change with sound devices, the game loses sound and I have to restart STALKER for it to work again (which only takes 5-10mins including loading screens, but this quickly adds up). I connect my bluetooth headphones, the sound quits. I turn off headphones and Windows defaults back to speakers/soundcard (separate 'Audio Device'), or the other way round (or both, then back again) sound quits. I go into another room wearing my BT headphones causing them to dis/reconnect, the sound quits, and I gotta restart the game again. You get the point. Is there a way round / to avoid this?

If home isn't working then it's a not thing with reshade cause reshade needs to be re-enabled cause it's off by default

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

I moved the armor to my inventory, dissasembled the rest and that worked fine. But then I saved, put the armor back in the stash and tried to disassemble that, and that caused the same crash I posted about

So I've got a question about the disguise system. I've been trying to get into the freedom base to do tasks because I've somehow upset the whole faction (not sure what I did). For some reason even though I've maxed the condition of all my gear, dropped most of my inventory, have correct faction armor with patch attached, don't have any of my weapons out, and move normally it wont even let me near the front gate, I'm about 30 feet away and they just open fire. 1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

To manually reinstall problematic mods do this:

I have a last dawn plot line, and living legend at the same (last dawn is not ticked by default), so when rogue in last dawn quest spawning at outpost, he is bugging the living legend questline, since i also need to talk to rogue, but a different one, he just doesnt spawn. Is there any way to spawn living legend rogue on skadovsk? Or my save file is cooked? I cant use debug since its ruining achievement.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe.
3. Copy and paste the following command:

git config --global --add safe.directory '*'
and press Enter.

4. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.

Hey, so I don't seem to have all my status icons or time in the right corner? I popped a medpack and I get those icons, but I don't seem to have the campfire healing icon and a few others I believe I've noticed while travelling. It's not a huge issue, but it's nice to have them. I tried pressing/holding H and numEnter to no avail, and I can't seem to find any keybind, UI option, or mod that helps here

This is the new "you can travel from this location" icon from Fair Fast Travel 2.9.
You can disable it in: Mod Config Menu -> Fair Fast Travel if you don't like it.
