If you crash upon changing your resolution in game, you can change it before launching the game. In Anomaly/appdata/user.ltx look for the vid_mode line and change it to the resolution you like.

I turned down the shadow map in the launcher from the default 2048 to 1536 and my FPS has gone DOWN a lot. Also the shadows seem to be looking BETTER now. This doesn't make any sense. Should I go back to 2048?

1) Go to this folder: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches
2) Copy these four folders (check pic)
3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste these four folders (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

@slate sapphire To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Turn your anti virus and firewall off (Defender, McAfee, Norton, etc) temporarily to just update / download the GAMMA mods and when done, turn it back on.

1) While in game, press F12, go inside Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If the screenshot isn't there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
2) Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTLR + V to paste the pic, save it, send it
3) Windows key + Shift + S, which lets you choose what part of the screen you want to take, it will directly copy the pic for you so all you'll have to do is just CTRL + V in the chat.

Evening guys, I keep losing, (maybe Im dropping??) Items..... its super annoying as generally I wont notice until I need said item, yesterday I lost my go to powered up chemical artefact, and the time between last save where I had it, and when I realised, I``d just done too much to reload. I spent ages retracing my steps etc trying to find it, but nope...GONE. Then later I lost my body cooler, I just accepted the loss. I cant find anything in keybinds to explain how I may be doing this... Im wondering if its when I switch suits with said items in the belt slot or something, I dont know if they are deleted or dropped. I just dont wann this to happen to an item i`ve grinded like 20 hours into getting, as that may make me just up and quit in disgust. Also, it kinda kills the joy of working toward good stuff, if that stuff can just be poofed out of existence at random later..... any thoughts, anyone had similar, is this known thing???

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

  1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
  2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and launch git-bash.exe
  3. Copy and paste the indicated command line from the gamma launcher black window ('git config --global --add ...') to the git-bash.exe window and press enter. (picture for reference below.)
  • Note: Pay attention to what you copy, if the line has spaces in-front, or is missing characters at the end, the fix will not work.
  1. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.
  2. You might have to do this for the 3 git folders, aka:
  • Stalker_GAMMA
  • gamma_large_files_v2
  • teivaz_anomaly_gunslinger

Sup peeps, Anyone able to help me solve this arm clipping issue? seems over time my arms get further and further away from the camera till i get really bad clipping/cut-off and I have no idea as to what's causing this (Using 70 FOV)

Why are rounds dissappearing from my inv?

Yeah I had pretty a long loading time on first launch or whenever I Delete Shaders on the launcher, then its kinda random after that whether it takes it's time or not, and changing Graphics left me on a pretty heavy black screen for awhile, but otherwise all good, and i'm on a 4080 and 10th Gen Intel aswell if GFX card or anything was a concern

Nah menu is all good for me at least, pretty sure it shouldn't typically be giving you issues, not sure what the problem there would be though, maybe try messing around with the Direct X on the Launcher to see if one of them runs better for you

I have a weird issue with a quest giver NPC. He's very much alive, I get the prompt to speak to him, but doing so gives me the message that "there's nothing useful on this body". My install's from October, but it's the first time I get this in 80 hours.

How do I reset my mo2 mod list to base gamma activated mods? I went a little crazy with mod downloads and its crashing my game. I havent been able to get any help in modded channel so I want to start from base mods again. But now I have no idea which are base gamma mods.

Hi Stalkers, today I updated Nvidia drivers from 546.65 to 551.52 for my RTX 3070 laptop GPU. Unfortunately I received fatal error when I tried to load saved game.

After that I rolled back the drivers updated and everything back to normal. So if you experience same issue you know what to do.

3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste these four folders (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

Do you have both? Try for yourself, see what's better.

Actual explanation:
AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

I have an issue where the game starts to stutter when I have battles with larger groups of npc's. Is this a common issue or can I resolve it? so I might have figured out why I felt the stutter... I can see that when I start a new game it draws full power from gpu and very little from cpu (which is fine) but when I load the other game.. it only loads about 35% of the power from gpu.. which might be why it doesn't run smoothly.. hey,
so ive been trying to play stalker gamma for a while now, but everytime i make my character it crashes on the loading screen. I've tried reinstalling it twice, I tried unchecking the optional mods and it still gives me this one fatal error. I also tried to find the mentioned logs in the error but the log just doesn't mention the error at all.

3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #πŸ“577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

  • In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #πŸ€–bot-commands.
  • If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

1) Go to this folder: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches
2) Copy these four folders (check pic)
3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste these four folders (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
6) Go to your \Anomaly\bin folder and delete d3d9.dll and dxgi.dll files.
It won't delete your save files.

I really like gamma but the stuttering is horrible, Rostok is hell for me and I was trying to end the Living Legend questline but outskirts and pripyat are like 20fps while just exploring, no combat

And hardware... Don't know man, I run a 3060, 32 RAM and a good processor and this machine runs any game at almost everything at the highest

I found a bug with redline jacket and heavy armor that is supposed to reduce your movement speed to 90% or so. This is very repeatable from any save, and it's a lot more apparent if you record and view them both side by side. As a note: You can replace Saving/Loading with walking into a new area. i.e. Rostok > Garbage.

I turned off all mods except stutter, and created a brand new save so that nothing would affect anything.

Started a debug save and spawned in Heavy Freedom Armor, and a Redline Jacket.

Went to a bonfire and put the jacket on, saved, then reloaded that. I then recorded myself running around Rostok Circle without switching armors. Not that it seems to matter.

So, what happened was that loading in made my jacket speed insanely fast when i started with that. Loading in with heavy armor made me fairly slower even though i switched back to Redline.

As a double-sided blade, it seems loading in with Heavy armor and keeping it on makes me even slower than what it's supposed to be. If you play these both side by side, the difference is kind of crazy.

  1. Collapse the categories in MO2, by sorting mods by Priority and close the categories by using the arrows on the left side (first picture for reference below).
  2. Screenshot your MO2 by using Shift + Win + S.

It is what it seems to be - GAMMA doesn't recognize whatever you directed it to as working, functional Anomaly of proper version. Check if you have fresh install of it in version GAMMA requires and that directory really matches?

Also considering that one of the previous errors you sent are about the antivirus, I would make some exceptions for the folders you're using

When MO2 can't find stuff it's 99% because the antivirus did something and it's your fault for not making exceptions to the specific folders
