Im not sure if i should ask in base or modded gamma support, i once added npc counter back to minimap last summer, reinstalled game to play again and i cant remember exactly which line in squaredovs minimap script to change to enable it again, i tried the things i remember but those just crash the game when loading in, it seems it is rare that anyone likes to play with it since i cant find any info on it for gamma specifically, any help would be appreciated πŸ™‚

I'm a game crashing issue. I click run in MO, it opens up Anomaly launcher just fine. I can verify installed version successfully, but when I click Play, it shows the splash screen for a bit before crashing with a Windows error sound but no pop up. I completely reinstalled both GAMMA and Anomaly and it's still happening

To be clear, the game was working and I was able to play several times but no I can't get it to run at all. I'm assuming it might be a bad registry since it is persistent through a reinstall but I'm not entirely sure

To bring your mod list, settings and keybinds back to default, inverting any changes made by you:

  1. Open the G.A.M.M.A. Launcher with admin rights
  2. Uncheck every box EXCEPT Delete Reshade DLLs
  3. Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A

Note: If you wish to keep your keybinds and graphical settings, go to Anomaly\appdata and backup user.ltx.

hey this is gonna sound super dumb, i got the game back in novemember, and i hadent updated it since then. It has crashed a few times over a couple days so i decided to run an update. However im still on the 5.0 mod launcher and when i try to open the game it keeps crashing. i decided to install the v6.0 launcher but im kind of at a roadblock and im not really sure what to do from here

Hello everyone. How do I get the reshade menu to open if my Home key isn't opening it?

1) Go to this folder: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]\.Grok's Modpack Installer\resources\Stalker_GAMMA\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\bin
2) Copy the bin folder (check pic)
3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste the bin folder (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked

Note: If the method above doesn't work, run the GAMMA Launcher as admin, disable/uncheck all the options and press install.
Doing this way will reset the modlist and your game settings back to default, but it will install reshade back.

Just fixed mine, the way I fixed it I reinstalled the 1.5.2 update for anomaly (it was already updated to 1.5.2, idk if it did anything that I reinstalled it), restarted GAMMA launcher, unchecked all but Delete Reshade DDLs and hit Update. Works now, although I still have 444 instead of 446 mods

Hi guys. I'm slightly confused cause after watching some videos, my GAMMA looks like shit in comparison. Reading around, seems I need Reshade, but this also seems to be included in GAMMA, in the form of Hippo's Atmospherics and what not? So having followed the latest install instructions for GAMMA, do I need anything extra, or should it be working out of the box?
Another thing, which originally started me on trying to fix graphics, is that I have this weird grain/noise filter on all the time, somewhat similar to the radiation effect, but on all the time. Messing wtih SSAO as some people recommended didn't help. I also remember having this in vanilla Anomaly, but had no frame of reference and thought it's just the look of the game.

Any tips?

To manually reinstall problematic mods do this:

  1. Go to the link(s) the Helper has provided above (or below).
  2. Download the mod file(s) from moddb. DO NOT EXTRACT.
  3. Place every archive you downloaded into your \GAMMA\downloads folder. Overwrite if needed.
  4. Run the GAMMA Launcher as admin.
  5. Uncheck/Disable:

  • Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #πŸ€–bot-commands and type !antivirus;
  • Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #πŸ€–bot-commands and type !defender;

  • Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #πŸ€–bot-commands and type !antivirus;

@night hound To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

@sterile swift To bring your in-game settings back to default, DON'T press the "default" button in the game menu - you'll mess up everything.
Instead, do this:

1) Go to GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata
2) Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there.
3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace it.

@raw raft actually you did point me to the right file as I was editing the user.ltx files inside the gamma folder not in anomaly - it's these settings that controls grass with a 0.09 from 2.0 fixes the issue - BUT after editing, saving, launching the game something is overwriting that file with original settings so my 0.09 change reverts back to 2.0 - setting the user.ltx file to read only temp solves this but it's better to edit the true source file so I don't keepa main config file locked to read only. Do we know what the true source file is?

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

  1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
  2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and launch git-bash.exe
  3. Copy and paste the indicated command line from the gamma launcher black window ('git config --global --add ...') to the git-bash.exe window and press enter. (picture for reference below.)
  • Note: Pay attention to what you copy, if the line has spaces in-front, or is missing characters at the end, the fix will not work.
  1. Now close the git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.
  2. You might have to do this for the 3 git folders, aka:
  • Stalker_GAMMA
  • gamma_large_files_v2

folks, I got myself a fresh install with all 446 mods downloaded correctly. Game stats fine etc. However, I noticed the reshade does not work. At all. Not sure if there is something super obvious i might be missing? Any ideas how to get them to compile and work on startup?

Anyone know why gamma would have very long load times, but run fine otherwise? I looked up online and it told me that some have had luck switching from Dx11-avx to dx11, but i have tried both and dx10. I have about 10+ min to get from launch to in game is there any threads on this already? It should not be pc specs i9900k 16gb ram, and a 2070 super

Year ago I tried to install GAMMA, after a couple days of attempts, there was somebody, who helped me with my endless installation process. Now I faced the same problem again:
Install starts but after a couple of minutes launcher just stuck: it's not opens, not shows any progress in the console etc.

Ran β€œinstall/update” function in launcher and mod list correctly shows 446. Furthermore, I’m now able to launch, and start a new game successfully. Whatever it was, it seems the possibility of a files being lost on the initial download and install is accurate, and this seems to have fixed it.

However, what is this I hear about having to download the ReShade manually? Is that not already in the mod pack? Is this something I should do? It isn’t mentioned in the install guide.

  1. Close the GAMMA Launcher
  2. Go to your C:/Windows/System32 and look for a file called Robocopy.exe
  3. Copy this file and paste it in GAMMA RC3/.Grok's Modpack Installer/resources.
  4. Remove Robocopy_10.exe from this folder and rename your recently pasted Robocopy.exe to Robocopy_10.exe
  5. Relaunch GAMMA Launcher** with admin rights**, it should be fixed

To manually reinstall problematic mods do this:

  1. Go to the link(s) the Helper has provided above (or below).
  2. Download the mod file(s) from moddb. DO NOT EXTRACT.
  3. Place every archive you downloaded into your \GAMMA\downloads folder. Overwrite if needed.
  4. Run the GAMMA Launcher as admin.
  5. Uncheck/Disable:

  • Force git download

@worldly forge If you are failing to download all the mods and still don't have #πŸ“577-mods-in-mo2, then ensure you are doing the mandatory steps below:

  • Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #πŸ€–bot-commands and type !antivirus;
  • Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #πŸ€–bot-commands and type !defender;

Any advice or guides for if I get really bad stuttering from NPC spawning?
My game runs butter smooth for everything except when Stalkers or Mutants spawn in or otherwise enter my render distance, making my game hang for a good 4 or 5 seconds.
