Okay, so I re-enabled Shaders with the 98k instructions and it ran smoothly and fine, when I started it up today after closing it yesterday, it gave me this message and won't start the game and I don't know how to fix it or where or how to read the logs

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

1. Do you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2 (read channel name)?
2. Are you using latest GAMMA launcher, not the installer? (in \.Grok's Modpack Installer\) (version 6.0 is the newest)
3. Do you see any ❌ in MO2 under Flags next to any mods (like the image)?

3) Copy this file: modlist.txt

I keep getting this strange black box around my primary monitor whenever I launch the game, just started happening a couple days after i finally got my update to work. My taskbar is still visible, but I cant see any windows behind it. It only stops if I close the game with task manager, which I have to do on my secondary monitor because I can't see past that stupid box. Anyone else experience this?

I'm playing at 1440x2560p, windowed borderless, if thats relevant.

Hello everyone. Just played a bit of GAMMA for the 1st time. I love it all except the whole weapon repair mechanics. Is there a way to tone it down? I like the fact that you can't just buy weapons from traders, but the whole repair DIY system is overly complicated, and not very realistic. Not everyone is a mechanic. I feel it would make more sense to go to a guy and pay him to repair/upgrade your gun like in vanilla. Is that still an option?

I don't want to mess around with all the mods, or disable the whole feature. Just this little tweak

Disabling the anti-virus and firewall during installation could be important. In my case, that could have been the problem, as the first time I forgot to disable them, and I got the error

in hte mod organizer ive got some lines written "downloads folder is a system related folder and cause can problems", even then, i moved everything and ran the installer (which checked all the mods are installed and they're just adjusting the new path.. (can the download folder cause this?) anyway, going to reinstall anytime when i ll go to sleep..... =\ installing it for the first time is like trying go bribe the army into the cordon, somtimes can be 500 others 4000

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

so yeah, you have to do !full (in #🤖bot-commands ) and uncheck the last box in the launcher about "delete reshade dlls"
you'll get reshade back

P.S. and also d3d9 dll will appear in .Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches (though you won't need to do !k98 anymore, because you've unticked the box in the launcher. basically meaning Launcher downloads additional files to that directory during install, they are not in GAMMA archive initially)

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin;
2. Make sure all 4 checkboxes are enabled;
3. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A. and wait for the install process to be done;
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

Ok, I got everything set up properly and the game is running, but I'm experiencing some insane lag even at the lowest settings. My PC can run Cyberpunk maxed at 4K without dipping below 144 FPS but I'm getting around 20 FPS and I'm guessing this isn't normal. Any ideas?

Apparently this doesn't play very well at 4K. Dropping the resolution down to 2K seems to have smoothed out most of the lag, but I'm still not getting consistent frames.

But I have now run into another issue - hardcoded hotkeys. I don't use WASD and have just learned that some keys are hard coded but I can't locate an ini file where I can change everything. Is it not possible to change the hard coded hotkeys?

Anomaly runs on X-ray, which is an old engine(released in 2007) and doesn't have good multicore support. On the other hand stalker 2 runs on unreal 5

Just played a bit of GAMMA for the 1st time. I love it all except the whole weapon repair mechanics. Is there a way to tone it down? I like the fact that you can't just buy weapons from traders, but the whole repair DIY system is overly complicated, and not very realistic. Not everyone is a mechanic. I feel it would make more sense to go to a guy and pay him to repair/upgrade your gun like in vanilla. Is that still an option?

I know there's a way to restore the Anomaly economy, but I like the economy for the most part. I'd just like the mechanics to continue repairing and upgrading weapons

it's having an issue with one specific file which was being overwritten by a GAMMA-only mod. hopefully reinstalling = you don't have that issue

there's no known fix, since there's no cause that anyone's been able to pin down

If you crash upon changing your resolution in game, you can change it before launching the game. In Anomaly/appdata/user.ltx look for the vid_mode line and change it to the resolution you like.

My issue that I'm having is that I'm getting really bad FPS now in the game after I closed it out and reopened the game, I've not messed with any settings in game or enabled/disabled any mods in MO2. Before I closed the game out I was getting really good FPS maybe 60 fps or very close to 60 fps, I didn't have a FPS counter on so idk. I don't understand why I'm getting really bad FPS now. FPS I'm getting now feels like 15 or 25 fps, which I don't like having FPS under 50 causing this to be one of reasons why I'm telling you this lol

Hey Guys, New to GAMMA and i got really frustrating shit going on, i installed yesterday the launcher and all of the stuff as the guide sais, all exactly followed as required, have done it twice because of the same error, when i hit play on modb and then play on the anomaly launcher, it just does nothing whatsoever, gets the small loading screen then it closes and brings me back to the modb page, no crash, no error, nothing whatsoever, just closes, i have deleted all files and reinstalled gamma completely and nothing, still the same error.

Instead, do this:

1) Go to GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata
2) Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there.
3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace it.

it should not include mod config settings, but you'll have to redo your keybinds + anomaly settings. this is usually caused by a corrupt anomaly settings file (user.ltx), and usually i see this for people who routinely alt+f4 out, or have power cuts or sudden computer crashes forcing them to shut down unexpectedly

fwiw it's not a bad idea to back up your user.ltx after you've confirmed the game runs fine with the settings you like

I think im in the same boat. Messed up trying to add the Winter mode , messed up my settings so i uninstalled everything and re downladed. I get past the Gamma Installation and boot up the game then once I hit my charater creation it crashes
