4. Close ModOrganizer

Hey, I'm very new to Gamma, loaded into the game for the first time, set up a character, played for a bit (got mauled to death) once I loaded back in the PDA no longer works as when I press capslock it no longer comes up, tried mapping it to a different key, still nothing. Any ideas?

You don't need to open MO2 after deleting ModOrganizer.ini and mods folder.
You run the Launcher with admin rights and try First Install initialization again

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin
2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

Do you have a good CPU? Use AVX (if you have a crash, it probably means your CPU doesn't support this function).
Do you have a good GPU? DON'T use AVX.
Do you have both? Try for yourself, see what's better.

Actual explanation:
AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

Hi, I have a question about AI. I finished playing Radiophobia 3 and was really excited to play GAMMA after hearing how hardcore it is and how good is AI. After 5-8 hours of playing it, it seemed a bit too easy so I started doing some testing. And for me AI is horribly stupid here. I deleted everything, reinstalled it, but it's still the same. You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:

1. Add your Anomaly folder to your antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender, do as instructed here: #🖥️how-to-install message

It will take a bit becuase it is force re-extracting every mod. This is a mandatory step when trying to manually fix a mod. You aren't downloading anything, just re-extracting. Just makes your cpu work.

Keep in mind that when you get the new launcher/installer, if you run the update it may make your saves crash. I'm guessing you have a saved game from 0.8 days (about a year ago). Those are almost incompatible with the current build. So much has changed.

You can also start the Anomaly launcher through Mod organizer 2 and tick prefetch sounds

If you have more than 12G of ram then you can enable Meatchunks Prefetcher in Mod Organizer 2. It will increase load times a lot but will help with stutters.

I just got the newest update and now it seems as though there is a delay in firing certain weapons when I equip them or reload them. For example, I will reload then click the mouse button and nothing happens a few times, before it finally fires. I also noticed if I wait a couple seconds then there is no delay. If you are failing to download all of the mods and still don't have #📍577-mods-in-mo2 then ensure you are doing the mandatory steps below:

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus
• Exclude both your Anomaly and GAMMA folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender

I did all of this, except connecting to a VPN, don't have one / don't see a need for one.
But yeah, anomaly and gamma are excluded in windows defender, antivirus disabled, program was started as admin.
Still slow as a mule. I was hoping to find a torrent or something, but seeing how the launcher is literally the only way to download the game and also the only thing that is chugging in terms of download speed.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

If you're not blocked:
2. Open your GAMMA Launcher and check if you have the latest launcher, which is 5.0.0.0.

If you don't have it, go in #🤖bot-commands, type !50 and follow 2), 3) and 4) of the steps, then continue with this guide
3. Disable antivirus temporarily
4. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and G.A.M.M.A. folders to Exclusions:

If you are failing to download all of the mods and still don't have #📍577-mods-in-mo2 then ensure you are doing the mandatory steps below:

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus
• Exclude both your Anomaly and GAMMA folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender
• Once the above steps are done, ensure you have the latest launcher seen in #💽how-to-update and START IT AS ADMINISTRATOR.

If the above steps still do not solve your issue then verify your hosts file by going to #🤖bot-commands and type !hosts If that still does not work then connect to a VPN and try again.

If none of that works then make sure your game is installed at the root of whatever drive you are using (e.g. C:\GAMMA , D:\GAMMA) notice there are no periods between letters.....

Yeah, just make a note of the location being asked for in Yantar when leading people. There are two locations for "take me here" quests that I know of: one is that weird one you showed and there is a safe one not far from the mobile lab

Ok, I'm going to be honest. I think the best thing for you to do would be to start our launcher as admin and click install/update to update. I'm thinking your install process didn't go as planned. I am going to send you a bot command with some things to check before you run it.

If you are failing to download all of the mods and still don't have #📍577-mods-in-mo2 then ensure you are doing the mandatory steps below:

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus
• Exclude both your Anomaly and GAMMA folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender
• Once the above steps are done, ensure you have the latest launcher seen in #💽how-to-update and START IT AS ADMINISTRATOR.

If the above steps still do not solve your issue then verify your hosts file by going to #🤖bot-commands and type !hosts If that still does not work then connect to a VPN and try again.

If none of that works then make sure your game is installed at the root of whatever drive you are using (e.g. C:\GAMMA , D:\GAMMA) notice there are no periods between letters.....

Do not install on an external hard drive!

I dont remember activating all the mods in the GAMMA disabled category. Should i disable them? There's mods like gamma economy, loot and task balance and im not sure if they are that important. My game just crashes when im changing zones of the map but I've never noticed a problem with the economy and loot I actually think its pretty fair

Oh yeah, I indeed had busyhands trigger on my weapon when I loaded this save once. Is there a reliable way to tell when it is messed up so I can reload old saves til it goes away?

Blurry PDA, nightvision stops working even with full battery (you hear the sound but nothing happens) , can't switch weapons, HUD doesn't show any stamina changes even though you run out of stamina and are forced to walk at a slow pace. The blurry PDA that doesn't go away is usually the first sign of it in my experience. Keep multiple saves and keep an eye out if the symptoms show up so you don't overwrite a "safe" save with busyhands

I think it probably occured when I switched to another armor and filled all the mag slots, probably did it all too fast
