You just need to send ONE of these files where it was asked. It's either ONE file with .txt OR .log OR with nothing at the end. DON'T send anything with .bkp at end.

Drag and drop the file inside the Discord channel, Discord will handle it for you.

Yo, I installed the 5.0 launcher this afternoon and set it to do a full install. I had to leave while it was running and when I got home I saw that my wifi had gone down at some point. I don't know if the install ever finished. Right now I'm trying to delete the shaders, but it seems that the installer has crashed. Do I just need to redownload the 5.0 installer and overwrite the current one and do it all again?

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

If you're not blocked:
2. Open your GAMMA Launcher and check if you have the latest launcher, which is 5.0.0.0.

If you don't have it, go in #🤖bot-commands, type !50 and follow 2), 3) and 4) of the steps, then continue with this guide
3. Disable antivirus temporarily
4. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and G.A.M.M.A. folders to Exclusions:
Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions
5. Open GAMMA Launcher as admin
6. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

2) Copy these four folders (check pic)
3) Go to your Anomaly folder
4) Paste these four folders (check pic)
5) Overwrite/replace all if asked
It won't delete your save files.

If you have already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

1. Download the 1.5.2 update from here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
2. Open the archive, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder
5. OVERWRITE EVERYTHING when asked to do so
6. Open the G.A.M.M.A. launcher with admin rights
7. Uncheck every box in the launcher
8. Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

So - quick update involving the whole 'OpenAL: Can't find context' issue.
I managed to delete/uninstall, and reinstalled all of Anomaly and GAMMA. However, given this was a 'sound' issue, I decided to look into my PC instead for answers.
I went to my settings, and saw it was detecting Two different output sources for Audio. One being my microphone (Blue Yeti with a headphone plugin), and the other being part of the computer.
I disabled the one for the PC, and kept the Microphone auidio as the main sound.

Once Both Anomaly and Gamma downloaded, I was able to launch the game twice, with no error message. Now whether this solved my problem or not, I don't know. I will find out more tomorrow but this is a step in the right direction.

I think gamma would have a lot more downloads if it were easier to install. I mean, thats a lot of data to download at once through gamma installer, I think you could split in parts with less than 4Gb each. You can play in on mac, linux, steamdeck but can only download through windows, right?

@cobalt eagle You need to enable a mod in MO2: Quick Companion Teleport

When you're in game, press J (you probably want to change this keybind to something else or remove it from the taskboard function, because it is used for both).

Be sure to be close to them, 200m is the maximum distance you can be far from them, don't go over 300m.
Also, if their health bar is grey, that means that you're far from them and they won't "hear" you.
You'll need to get more close to them, sometimes you'll need to be right next to them in order to "teleport" them.

If you don't want to enable the mod, then you can also just tell them to follow you and then go sleep in a bed, it should work. Be sure to be close to them because they still need to "hear you".

It uses 4gb of vram, because the textures themselves aren't as resource demanding, so the game only uses 4gb of vram because that is all it needs.

If you install a texture pack with higher quality textures, naturally the game will have to use more vram.

Vram is there to cache textures
So the vram for you doesn't play a role, until you find a game that is more vram demanding... like the last of us

I think I found a minor bug. The default, Non-Cammo, Non- Custom, non-arrow, SIG SG550 is listed as compatible with the M203 Launcher but can't attach one. I checked and there's no upgrade in the tree to make it launcher compatible either. Standard install with MAG-Redux activated (and Unjam Reload disabled.) and turn this on if you stutter.

Thanks! I actually managed to fix it on my end. I have a plug in microphonew that has a 'Speaker' I can plug my headphones in for audio. But it kept trying to get audio from the computer itself. So I disabled that, and kept just my Blue Yeti. For whatever reason, that made it work 🙂

Ok, so from a quick skim of the scroll above, others are also having this Pistol Aim down sights issue. I noted that Pretty Pistols Pack unexpectedly updated during Gamma Update, even though I had all the checkmarks off. And now my cursor doesn't show even though still on in Settings when aiming down sights, and the Pistol is off to the left side for both the Storm 9mm and the USP45. So are we waiting on a fix then, no mention in the Announcements last I saw?

So you can either disable pretty pistols mod (not recommended as there might be consiquences once you progress far enough into the game)

Seems to be a problem a problem with pistols, likely somehow caused by the P90 fix. Checked 5 and they all have the same issue.

P90 was too far left, got centered as its supposed to be, but all the pistols also moved left

Hey Broken, the latest update, see the new announcements update, should replace the Pistols Pack and get your pistol aim and off center or too low pistol back where you want. I had the same issue, just updated and it fixed it, at least for most of the starting pistols I checked. Check the exact directions, as Grok also suggested some things in the update procedure if you want one of the updated mods to unpack correctly. See Announcements last current post.

I also encountered this bug, after changing nothing (to my knowledge) but I didn't even have shadow play enabled, never used it before! Had to activate it and switch on action replay to get the game to run. Strangely after I'd closed and re-opened gamma shadow play didn't come back on...

You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:

1. Add your Anomaly folder to your antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender, do as instructed here: #🖥️how-to-install message

2. Now delete all the content inside your Anomaly installation folder.
3. Move both the Anomaly 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 update .zip files into the now clean Anomaly folder.

4. Right click the 1.5.1 zip file and hover over "7-Zip", then select "Extract Here".

6. Launch Anomaly, once you get to the main menu, exit the game.

Don't verify stuff with the Anomaly Launcher, you're using Mod Organizer 2 to launch the game and to manage the mods used in GAMMA.
The error you'll get is harmless and doesn't mean anything, that's not the problem you have with your game.
