Shot a loner and as they died game crashed with this; had similar in past but this is first time it's stated it being related to ammo. Any clues/hints? Have turned up loot options with default gamma mods, and turned off Reliable animations but the latter doesn't seem tied to loot-gen I imagine. 1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.

hey so a while back i complained that when i have gamma open it throttles the download speed on steam

mind you, i have an RTX 4090 and an AMD Ryzen 9 7950x, and it also does it at the main menu

this is now happening on a completely different computer, all new specs, and new installation of windows.
not to mention, my download speeds have increased since then, i can hit around 140 Mbps on steam now. but when i open GAMMA, it drops to 14 Mbps.

if im not mistaken, GAMMA shouldnt be using ANY network activity except for discord rich presence, which, im sure doesnt draw ~120 Mbps

Hey gang, I've been having an issue with GAMMA's framerate. I've followed the suggestions in the performance tuning thread and nothing makes a difference for me--my FPS settles in around 30-40FPS no matter what.

I've got a Core i9-9900K 4.5GHz CPU, core0 disabled for GAMMA and all surrounding processes. 64GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM running at 2666MHz, Samsung 970 Evo nvme SSD, RTX 2080 Super GPU.

I tried all distances at minimum, running the game at 1152x864 or whatever the lowest 16:9 resolution is. I've tried turning off reshade with the Home key, no difference regardless of what preset or on/off or performance mode checked/unchecked along the bottom. I showed stats and it shows the GPU frames at sub-10ms (which means GPU should be able to drive 100fps at current settings), but the game engine frames are like 40-55ms which I think is why I'm only getting 30-40fps.

I tried enabling the "try this if you stutter" mod in the GAMMA launcher, too.

I'm having problems with the defend the pump station quest. I've googled it, watched guides, searched for info here, and can't find anything except how to skip the quest. I'd prefer to do the quest, but for some reason as soon as I take the quest the Renegades seem to spawn all at once and over run the pump station before I can get anywhere remotely close. all within a time frame of about 10 seconds. I've tried reloading the save before I accepted the quest and even following the one map I found to prevent the issue with no luck. I even decided to go check it out before accepting the quest and only find one dead merc and a snork I had to kill. No Renegades in sight. Am I missing something?

• Increase texture detail to 3/4 or 4/4, or enter texture_lod 0 in the in-game console, and then restart the game.

If the steps from above didn't work, try this fix instead:

1. Download the mod from #🔨base-gamma-support message
2. In Mod Organizer 2, click on File -> Install mod
3. Find wherever you saved the Jubs_Low_Texture_Red_Dots.rar file.
4. Click “OK”. Name it however you want. It will be at the very end of the mod list.
5. Enable this mod.

As for audio playback - personally never had audio glitches, just sound shutting off completely due to OpenAL shenanigans due to this technology being old as mammoth’s shit
Btw speaking about which cores to disable - I prefer to disable 0 and 1 if your CPU has SMT/HT, it will be FC5 option. In the guide there’s some weird and incorrect assumptions about what to disable for logical processors, not sure why

Anyway, your physical core 0 is divided into logical “core 0 + core 1”, and the guide suggests to disable 1 and 3, which are basically just hyperthreaded threads (duh) of real core 0 and core 1. And it defeats the purpose of the whole DISABLE CORE 0 stuff, thats why I disable 0 and 1 for hyperthreaded CPUs (tested on 12700k and mobile ryzen 6800h)

So the invisible NPC in question is Professor Zhuk in Jupiter, related to Artifact Hunt missions.
I can't just "complete" task by NPC Logic, because to trigger the next batch of missions you need talk to him again and choose the right option.
Reload game doesn't solve it, not sure how to trigger this bug.

2 ideas on how to solve it:

• NPC Logic uses "task_manager::set_task_completed" method to complete the mission, we could start a mission using task ID, do the stuff and complete it as normal with command, problem is: what is the name of the method? I tried "set_task_start" but of course doesn't work, I need to know any other methods inside the task_manager class.

I did a completely fresh install of Anomaly and Gamma into empty folders, copied my savegames back in and the best FPS I can manage in Cordon from like half way through my current run is like 70fps, and my current save from that character I'm only getting 30-40fps regardless of any graphics settings.

It's not really the smartest idea to go through it manually because we don't have a specific place to check for their weight, the only way to check it is to actually download the whole thing, hence my directly giving you the answer you weren't looking for, but if you really want to, this is the list of mods that are inside the mod pack right now: https://stalker-gamma.com/api/list

The smart solution (in my opinion) would be to make some space, download the whole thing and only then check what mod is the biggest/what you don't want etc., because it all ends up in two folders:
One called "mods", where mods are unzipped and another one called "downloads", where mods are zipped, you can sort them while they're zipped and do what you want with them

Every time I try to enter Dark Valley, even from different gates, the game crashes. I'm on 415 mods in GAMMA 0.9.1. with Launcher 5.0.0.0. It happened in previous GAMMA 0.9 version. 3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

I have Windows 11, and in the settings it informed me that there was an 'Error' status, meaning during download it didn't properly do it all the way. There was a hickup during the download essentially. Which could very well explain why it's bugged out.

mmmh try this, in windows right click on the audio icon, then "sounds", then "playback"
Disable with right click → [disable] all the devices except your motherboard device (usually it's Realtek Audio), unplug your headphones from anywere you have them

go in anomaly/appdata and move your USER.ltx out of the folder

launch in debug mode,
complete all the tasks from the save, go incognito before you arrive back at rookie village,
and execute the become friendly command on him
