Are random, lootable containers around the game supposed to have nothing in them? Every single one I encounter is always vacant of any items.

Stashes are empty by default; you will have to obtain or buy coordinates to actually find something in them.
These coordinates can be obtained as rewards from completing quests, purchasing stash locations from specific vendors, stalker corpses and by reading and turning in the PDAs that you can find on the** bodies of stalkers you kill**. If said PDA is locked, you'll need to go to a mechanic and pay him to unlock it.

Stash coordinates received from quests or bought from traders will only mark stashes in the regions around where you bought the stash or turned the quest in.
For example, buying a stash from, or turning in a quest to Sidorovich will only give you stash locations in Great Swamps, Meadows, Darkscape, Garbage, Dark Valley, Wild Territory, Agroprom and Yantar.

4. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering in NVIDIA control panel

6. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)

5. Relaunch GAMMA Launcher** with admin rights**, it should be fixed

Imma just post this here incase anyone needs it, I fixed it by loading an earlier save ~4 in game hours before. Then using sleeping pills to sleep an hour or so past when the crash was occurring. If anyone finds a more permanent solution @ me

You just need to send ONE of these files where it was asked. It's either ONE file with .txt OR .log OR with nothing at the end. DON'T send anything with .bkp at end.

Drag and drop the file inside the Discord channel, Discord will handle it for you.
Make sure you're not using any extra mods, if you do, you'll need to ask in #🔨modded-gamma-support.

Attempting to copy the entirety of my GAMMA folder to a portable hard drive, as I am about to change to a new computer and do not want to lose my save game. Whenever I use the file manager to move the file to my portable E drive, it will get alllllll the way to the end of the move and flash this image. Clicking “skip” will present new folders that are apparently “too long” to move. These folders are settings, game data, items, configs, textures, outfits, and trade. My new PC is not yet here so I cannot test to see if “skipping” these files still makes the game playable (which I doubt). I’m not sure where to find them to rename them per the advice of the windows pop up—and I’m admittedly afraid to do so since im not sure if that would affect how they function. Any advice to properly move the GAMMA folder between drives? Thank you!

so one of the files was missing/corrupt. not bad enough to stop you from being able to start the game, but once the game tried to spawn an NPC using the SKS that needed that corrupted file, it crashed

Hello everyone, I installed GAMMA recently. I'm facing a problem that I don't understand. Whenever I run anomaly launcher on MO2 the normal anomaly will show up. To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

I recently got to repair and start using a RD-74M, a while it has a few benefits over my previous RPK-16, it's also driving me crazy every time I use it (AKA all the time)...
Whenever my character switches from and to it for whatever reason, he does seem to de/activate something with his right thumb, which makes a noise similar to switching fire modes.

Besides switching weapons:

• Using quick melee attack: ka-tchunk
• Using items (meds, food... just about anything that stows the weapon before the action and then brings it back afterwards): double ka-tchunk...

What is that about, and more importantly, is there a way to disable it or tone it down ?

I was running on admin mode and had debug mode on. The crash was just the game freezing up, waited for a few minutes before I forced closed it through the task manager. It was night time, the quad NVG turned on, with a spawned in scoped-kar98k.

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

1. Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder
5. OVERWRITE everything when asked to do so
6. Open the G.A.M.M.A. launcher with admin rights
7. Disable every box in the Launcher

Generally with busyhands you just need to go back to a save that doesn't have it.

Most of the time it is your most recent previous save but if you don't realize it for a while it could be a couple.

1. Check if you are blocked from accessing and browsing https://www.moddb.com/ (you'll see a big red screen)
If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so. (If you are not blocked, continue)

Then, do exactly this:
2. Check if you have the latest launcher (3.8 is too old)
If you don't, do 2), 3) and 4) of the !40 command and move to the next step)
3. Disable antivirus temporarily
4. In Windows Defender, add Anomaly and Gamma folders to Exclusions:

Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Exclusions
5. Open GAMMA Launcher as admin
6. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

good. Whitelisting those folders is important though. If your windows defender is being aggressive it could be scanning the files as you are trying to install them and that mucks things all up.

We can't really see the problem if you take a picture with your cellphone. If you have a problem you want to share with us, you can do the following, since we don't care about your second monitor or your desktop image:

1. Press F12 in-game, look in Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If it's not there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
2. Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTLR + V to paste the pic, save it, send it
3. Windows key + Shift + S, which let you choose what part of the screen you want to copy, it will directly copy the pic for you.

you have a choice. either play gamma on dx8 and not crash or dont play at all. you have limited hardware for the game to run properly on higher graphics.
