to me? no. audio issues are rare. the most common audio issue i see is crash on launch when teh game can't find an audio device i.e. "plug in your headphones BEFORE you run the game"

Sorry, I responded to the other guy in this way, because he was just boosting his ego and not helping anyone
and because I have actually followed the instructions to the letter on my installation which was already working from march/april (when I have suggested the change to fight with the increased load at that time) and today I still got this almost identical error as someone.
There are cases, when you have to try a second time even with no fault made, it could be a bad file write.

Got booted here from Newb chat, Just joined the discord and downloaded the game yesterday. Im having an issue with my damage values, they feel like unmodded stalker. Bandits in cordon are tanking 6-8 shots of 9X18 with the first shot being to the head, however I get 1-2 shotted with anything. I thought both myself and NPCs were supposed to have similar total health (without gear) and it does not seem that way at all. Is this a bug or is this just the standard game? (I havent messed with any settings or any of the mod configs)

I had an issue earlier whereby I couldn't load into army warehouses(first time) and i was stuck on the loading screen with a full bar. tried restarting the game multiple times and eventually one of the tries took about 20 minutes but it loaded. Running around in army warehouses for about 2 minutes before the game crashed however i did get a save by a campfire just before. I tried reloading the save and that's what I've been doing for the last 5 hours. It just stays loading for 10 minutes before crashing again (in task manager it says not responding). any ideas?

I am suddenly and out of nowhere experiencing show-stopping levels of stuttering in GAMMA, it will freeze for an entire 1-2 seconds, sometimes the audio will buzz/pop as it gets cut off, it happens constantly. I have CPU 0 unchecked and deleted shader cache. Normally GAMMA runs very smoothly and I'm on an GTX4070TI and core i7-13700k. It always ran very smoothly and didn't even stutter around campfires, now the game is having a stroke just walking around

I commented earlier about getting 1-2 sec stutters all over the place, but it seems to be normal now after having everything checked for CPU affinity, normally it's the other way around and you need to uncheck core 0 to reduce stuttering, don't know why...

So i'm at 379/380 mod active atm; checked for mods with red crosses on them (found like two), downloaded the gamma_large_files_v2.zip from the mega link and followed the rest of the instructions (red crosses now gone, only one left is 190- Screen Space Shaders - Ascii457 in G.A.M.M.A. Disabled which i'm assuming is fine.
Tried going in-game but got the whole "can't find model file" for wpn_gauss_world.ogf
am on launcher version 4.3.0.0

I saw a posted potential solution to this from November last year #🔨base-gamma-support message was to download an old BaS version but i'm not sure if that would fix the missing mod issue.
In the meantime i'm just running another update

getting a "shader compilation unsuccessful" error on launching the game in DX 10/11 after running mostly fine in DX 8. I did delete the shader cache file awhile back in hopes of getting NVGs to work, which was of no luck. and I'm running on a very old version that I'll update on a new playthrough bc I want to finish my current one

look. i can tell you this: that file is provided by Shader Driven Scopes, BUT i can't really help you through the fix because:

• you are on an old version of GAMMA. The new version is radically different to the point where even the installer is different
• none of us have backups of the pre-April Shader Driven Scopes install instructions
• the best you can do is try and see if the current version of Shader Driven Scopes is even compatible with older GAMMA but again there's 0 guarantee

2. Load the save file, then press F7 key and click on NPC Logic / Execute
3. In the function executor paste this line below and press Enter:

4. Now return to Cold to finish the quest.

Ok make sure you disable any antivirus and whitelist both anomaly and gamma folders. Then run as admin and update/install like you said.

Nope, I followed th disc guide and when I first ran it, the modlist had all mods disabled

so I had to manually turn them on

So i installed gamma and everything is working fine, but i had trouble unzipping files from my external drive so i moved it onto my os drive, could i just drag the gamma and anomaly folders to my external drive or does the game install somewhere else in my system?

1) Close MO2
2) Go to GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_data/
3) Copy this file: modlist.txt
4) Paste it in here and replace the existing file: [YOUR GAMMA FOLDER]/profiles/G.A.M.M.A.. If you don't have a G.A.M.M.A. folder in profiles - create it.
5) Now launch MO2 again
6) Select profile: G.A.M.M.A.
