You have to reinstall Anomaly, follow these instructions:
🔹Add your Anomaly folder to antivirus exceptions. For Windows Defender do as instructed here: #🖥️how-to-install message
🔹To keep your savefiles type !save in #🤖bot-commands
🔹Now delete all content inside your Anomaly installation folder
🔹If you no longer have both anomaly zip files then acquire them by typing !torrent in #🤖bot-commands (or if this is your second attempt)

🔹Right click the 1.5.1 file and hover over "7-Zip", then select "Extract Here"

🔹Launch Anomaly to the main menu once, then exit the game
🔹Go to your GAMMA folder and delete ModOrganizer**.ini**, found right under the ModOrganizer.exe

🔹Now untick/deselect all the options under the Install/Update G.A.M.M.A. button and press it to install and finish.

That error pretty much means that your install of anomaly didn't go as intended. Your not reinstalling Gamma, you are only replacing the base anomaly files. You will need to backup your saves for this though since they are housed in anomaly. go to #🤖bot-commands and type both !save and !backup

A small (but at the same time massive) tip for those who don't know about it: you can combine several items with uses to free up space in your inventory (and reduce its total weight). Just hover one of them above another one. Yes, it's never mentioned anywhere and it's a big QOL thing.

Your best bet is to to search through #1035807043933720576 for something that you enjoy. Keep in mind that modding on top of GAMMA can be either fun and rewarding or a complete disaster. As soon as you alter your mod list then go to #🔨modded-gamma-support

I usually like to try to trouble shoot stuff like this myself in most games but I tried a couple little things I could think of but I know this pack can be a bit delicate at times so I didn't want to mess with it more and make the repair process harder lol

I did a complete update about a month ago, mid 0.9, and ever since then my shaders have been wacky without changing any options. Shadows are intensely dark, fog glows in the distance, water is invisible but casts a shadow. Is this an easily fixed problem or do I just keep reinstalling

so basically. every time hippo updates Atmospherics, which is often, and a player hammers the update button because they saw the moddb status thingy change (a bad idea) - the game loads in Atmospherics' shaders and files but is still using the old compiled shader values. that console command forces the game to reload the atmosr settings. which are now updated.

But default user.ltx is only updated by grok... So you're pretty much forced to load cfg yourself, each time atmos gets updated

I have one more question if anyone has insight to this; in drop condition MCM menu the ammo slider that goes from 1-20 does not impart a change on loot anymore. I used to play with this cranked up to like 12 because I dont like finding 4 rounds of 7.62x54 on an expert stalker carrying a PKM lol. if anyone knows why this slider is getting overridden please let me know. Getting mass stuttering from Stealth Debug mode. This has not happened for the last week or so of testing. Just today. Yesterday was fine as well. Now today...GAMMA is stuttering hardcore. I turned off Stormy weather, turned down spawns, turned off anomalies. The game is stuttering a lot today and has never been like this in all out testing. Something is a miss but this issue is brand new to today.

2. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
3. Enable the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod in your MO2 (you can find the mod under the G.A.M.M.A. Fixes separator)
4. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering in NVIDIA control panel
5. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
6. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)

Just get into the device manager, uninstall your GPU from there and reset the PC, just make sure you have internet connection beforehand. Your computer will download the driver automatically

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin
2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
