I think something's weird with my game - I have a default mod install, recently did a reinstall in the proper manner due to freezoom going bonkers. disabled freezoom by binding to num9 (unused and safe from reach by accident) and went on with my life. However, now, whenever I load a save, I randomly see parts of my parts health bar and my stamina bar become empty (or enter the yellow "damaged by treated by first aid" state in case of limbs). Going to the medic does not fix this. when this happens, usually after several minutes I will lose the ability to access my inventory, use medicine, draw weapons, sleep, etc. Obviously, not being able to shoot bandits is a problem - I would be very happy if anyone knew what in tarnation is going on.

A possible fix for health HUD related 'busyhands' on load/transition:
Turn on the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod in MO2 then go to \GAMMA\mods\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs and open alife.ltx in a text editor.
Reduce the auto_switch_distance_start value in small increments of 100 a time.
Every time you get 'busyhands' randomly, reduce it by 100 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.

2. Are you using latest GAMMA launcher, not the installer? (in /.Grok's Modpack Installer) (version 3.8 is too old)

ive never really ran into an issue like this. its like the games framerate drops, but the inputs dont really lag behind in any way and counter says 90-140+ fps still, its still "playable", and if i wait long enough it will actually fix itself, but im a big weenie about things not running at like 144 at all times LOL so i just insta save and reload to fix it. especially isnce it happens most often when a lot of characters are pulling up (ie monolith spawns in army warehouse, or i piss off a ton of people at once)

It's better to spawn the items instead using F7 menu (in debug mode). The artifacts aren't hard to find - there are a few of them. Just spawn each one until the mission completes.

It's just looking for a "you have this in your inventory" check.

I've been playing GAMA juuuust fine so far, but yesterday night I had a crash in an arena fight in Rostok. Since then, I just closed my PC and went to sleep. There was also a windows update since then.

Now, whenever I try to start up the GAMMA launcher exe... it deletes itself? I've tried re-downloading it and putting it back into the proper folder in the GAMMA files, but when I try to run it it again starts running, but then the .exe just disappears/deletes itself. Is this a known issue after a crash?

Guys, I have this strange "every 2 seconds" lag spike. It hapens everywhere, when Im stationary. I can look at the sky, have high FPS and still have it. I tried everything (disable core 0, updating, disabling some mods, nvidia settings, DX10/11 avx on/off, delete shader cache, new game, "enable this if u stutter", 12gb RAM prefetch, sound prefetch....) - do you have ANY idea what might be causing it? Is there some MOD you think has this 2 seconds "tick"? It seems like it might be some AI routine or maybe time update, I have no idea.

A post in here claims that grok_artefacts_random_condition.script in GAMMA Artefact Reinvention controls the condition range in which artifacts spawn. Also the !articondru bot-command says that deleting said file will cause all artifacts to all spawn at 100% durability.
Neither editing nor deleting the file does anything for me. Is this information somehow outdated? I don't see this mod being overwritten by anything that looks relevant to this specific script in MO2

I beg for help : i cannot launch Gamma anymore. Once i try to start it from the launcher, i get the logo and nothing happen

Then I'll attempt to help myself:

1. take note of the chevrons that show on the inventory icon of meds, and equipment in general like detectors - more chevrons, higher tier.
2. rad meds divide in two parts - external radiation prevention (radprotect for example) and internal radiation expulsion (antirads for example) - the first increases your radiation resistance and reduces the amount of rads you absorb, and the latter removes already existing radiation; in short, radprotect will not help too much if you're already suffering from acute radiation poisoning.
3. alcohol helps with radiation, is quite common, and can be cheaper at the start - you can counter the dizzyness it causes by drinking water. Same goes for any meds that cause dizzyness.
4. descriptions - read the descriptions, as they will tell you what each medicine does; moreover, if you hover over a medicine like a medkit, and look at your inventory panel health bar, you will see how much it will heal. Same goes for the limb health indicator.

GAMMA's health system is not as easy as the original STALKER's health system, where spamming medkits solves all problems - rather, you should focus on using medkits, stimpacks and bandages in combat, and use more complex medicine out of combat - simply because you will need to diagnose which problem you're suffering from, and which medicine will treat it the best - both in terms of effectiveness and price.

Finally - sometimes it's just all around cheaper to go the the medic, or use a super-drug like the "revival" or "Anabiotics" - those knock you out cold, but you basically wake up brand new.

So - read the instructions on each medicine, note how it affects your stat bars, and get some practice by hurting yourself, treating yourself, and reloading a save afterwards.

So, this is weird. I just took the time to do all of these fixes here, everything went pretty much fine with no hiccups. But, now, when I try to start the game up and it starts loading into the main menu, the game doesn't start. I just get a black screen and then the main menu soundtrack coming in and out in chopped bits. Anyone seen this before?

Hello boys, i played for probably more than a month without issues. I had no crashes. My error message is empty, it says "cannot handle exception something" but this is what says in the crash log. Im using warfare since very beginning, no weapon mods, no sounds, nothing. This is the end of the crash log if anyone can see whats the trouble here

2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

hello, sorry for the wall of text in advance;

What I have problem with is that I have a newly built
5600X
6900XT - SAM enabled
32 Gigs of 3600Mhz DDR 4 ram
But I'm constantly bombarded with big stutters whenever I load into a game for the first time. If I'm moving, running, as the map loads and such, my FPS tanks so bad for a splitsecond and it throws me off. Sometimes when a dog jumps at me, and it happens to stutter at that moment my shot doesn't even register and I get trolled.
I have tried;
Using process lasso to set core 0 affinity
Using AVX, or turning it off
Using "turn this on if you stutter" option
After I play for a while, as the map loads in fully, the stutters become less apparent but they're always there no matter what, big stutters freeze the game completely every 4 seconds for a nanosecond, microstutters on the other hand drop the fps to around 70 every 6-7 seconds. Big stutters end after a while, microstutters are always there and it's turning me insane. When it doesn't stutter I get 140 FPS flat. I don't expect to get rid of stutters completely but this is annoying as hell. My GPU can take all the punishment in all other games, but in this, my CPU becomes a big bottleneck because something is wrong and the momentary strain is immeasurable. Is anyone else on the same boat as me?

I only have voiced actor stuff disabled and enabled mags redux. Game had worked flawlessly (save the bad hickups) before I had copied x64 files of DXVK to bin folder like you said. No X arrows on modlist either

However If I select DX10, the game starts and on the top left frame counter (I use RivaTuner+MSI for statistics) instead of dx10, it says VULKAN. So it does work. Only not in DX11. Also nearly %80-90 of the stutters are gone on DX10, on DX10 Vulkan nearly %95 of stutters are gone. Therefore my question is, do I lose any graphical quality or visual effects using DX10->Vulkan, than opening the game up with native DX11? In short, is Vulkan dx10 any different than dx11 itself? I've noticed in Vulkan DX10 the framerate is much smoother than DX10 itself

You lose a bit of visual fancyness in DX10, not nearly as much as DX9 and DX8 though

A lot of people play in DX10 when they want a bit of extra performance in return for losing a small bit of graphics quality
