I'm having an issue with the game crashing before reaching the menu screen. The only thing I get is an error code 996 in the log file. I already deleted my Gamma folder and went through the process to install v0.9.

I'm having some trouble understanding how the object ID system is working - I've done some testing with a fresh save and some debug and apparently the ID count seems to steadily grow larger all the time but will fluctuate on some map resets (like sleeping) and show a lower number than what was saved previously - is there a possibility of reaching 65k IDs in current Gamma playthroughs? Does selling the items to traders help?

I had this problem a while back, I'm 90% sure my antivirus deleted some gamma/anomaly files. Add gamma, anomaly and MO2 as an exception to your antivirus and re download everything. If that's the case for you too. I've not had the issue since.

2) Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there (note that every change made by you in your user.ltx will be reverted to default)
3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace.

On top of that, when my game does work, every time I try to equip my PM, it's invisible and I can't equip anything else until i unequip it from the weapon slot completely. Does anyone know why a lot of the starter weapons, not all of them, are invisible for me/can't shoot them? I think it has something to do with the busy hands bug because once I pull out one of said weapons out I'm unable to pull out my PDA or do anything until I unequip the gun. This is on a brand new save/game. It's several of the handguns and shotguns.

Hi guys, Shaders Compilation Failed, once again, it happens "mostly" on rainy nights, totally at random (i.e.) not in intense scenes.

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

When you update, everything goes back to default for this reason, so yes, it's normal.

2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

Getting memory error:

Instruction in 0x000000014010096E referred to the memory at the address 0x0000000000000010. Memory cannot be read.

Have installed latest versions and this error happens when trying to play my old save pre 0.9. (Yes have tried the 0.9. fix too) It will show the loading screen of the save and then crashes every time.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. folder and ONLY delete the "mods" folder you'll find inside. Leave the rest untouched, you don't need to delete anything else
2. Move your G.A.M.M.A. folder to the new location

When you have finished moving everything to the new location:

1. Run the installer as admin
2. Click on First Install initialization
3. Select your Anomaly folder
4. Close ModOrganizer
5. Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

@ornate jay the launcher basically does md5 checksum verification between all the mods used in the mod pack and anything that might have been updated from moddb, download them if necessary, and then automatically extract the files in order using an API repository that Grok manages, so yea thats why it need to be set up that way to ensure a smoother install or update (and its still being worked on so not perfect by any mean)

this is also the reason why you'd need to give AV exception for those two folders

because what the launcher does is kinda similar to what a trojan or maleware would attempt to do (inject stuff into your computer from another source)

have to admit, i just avoided this modpack like the plague for whatever reason until today. not my first round of mods, will try my obviously working way first, worked for over a decade, why change it. if i fail i will use the regular method and let all yall know, if i succeed and dont run into any problems at all, i will share my experience

you can nest both anomaly and gamma folder into its own folder if you want to, but like we already warned it can cause issue down the line if you attempt to do stuff with MO2 settings and so on (which might not apply to you at all, and you can run the mod pack just fine), it might not cause issue for you maybe, but it have been observed by multiple tech support debugging sessions so far, and this is what we recommend. Feel free to do your own thing obviously if you trust yourself with your own knowledge around computer

If your installer is stuck and you can read "Instruction solving..." at the bottom, follow this:

1. Close the installer
2. Go to your C:/Windows/System32 and look for a file called Robocopy.exe
3. Copy this file and paste it in GAMMA RC3/.Grok's Modpack Installer/resources.
4. Remove Robocopy_10.exe from this folder and rename your recently pasted Robocopy.exe to Robocopy_10.exe
5. Relaunch the installer with admin rights, it should be fixed.

2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file

Finally worked out why I am getting irradiated in max rad resist gear - AAM don't seem to be correctly reducing the rads from artifacts

Managed to install and setup everything, it works, it's fabolous, one thing i didn't manage to fix though->when i aim there is a weird " blur" effect.
Enemies and allies can aim past this blur , so i'm severely handicaped.

launcher version 4.2, 380 mods active after install (381 now bc I installed a 1440p-scaled font). Definitely got those red x's scattered about, but re-running the installer didn't get them fixed like it usually does.

On Steam Deck I followed Srgtofdeath's guide and have the game running stable. FPS is poo, though. Very lumpy Gamescope graph. 19-54 fps with no discernible reason for a nub like me. I followed the 'delete shader' instructions and disabled mods as directed. 'If you stutter' is checked. Anything else I can do here to get FPS into a locked at 40 or 50 type state?

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

1. Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder
5. OVERWRITE everything when asked to do so

7. Uncheck every box in the Launcher

Okay, so I've found out why I have low fps in gunfight, that's because of broken population. I set it to 0.5 in ZCP and when game starts - get 1500+ stalkers online from game start, and this number is growing with time. I'm checking population in Statistic menu, by looking at my rank. So is there is better way to check NPCs population, and how to fix overpopulation?

This is only out of curiosity as it has happened twice so far after I got the game crashing when going into the Garbage got fixed. Is there a way to not make this happen is my question, if there isn't, not really a big deal at the moment. So occasionally, whenever I go to another area (not fast travel), game loads fine into the area I walked to. But my health stats and other things (the entire thing in the bottom left corner) are empty and I am not able to go anywhere else. I always make a save halfway to my destination, just reloading that save when this happens helps. But a minor inconvenience especially if I forget to make a save before this happens.
