The file is inside your Anomaly folder, this is the complete path:
Anomaly/appdata/logs

This is what you could find:

1. xray_yournamehere.txt
2. xray_yournamehere.log
3. xray_yournamehere without any file extension

You just need to send ONE of these files where it was asked. It's either ONE file with .txt OR .log OR with nothing at the end. DON'T send anything with .bkp at end.

Drag and drop the file inside the Discord channel, Discord will handle it for you.
Make sure you're not using any extra mods, if you do, you'll need to ask in #🔨modded-gamma-support.

This is actually bananas. When I look straight up or down, it goes to my max FPS. When I look straight, it goes to 60 and stays there. Changing any setting does nothing. Its not a performance thing, because nothing I change, lower, or remove changes the FPS

Maybe it is a CPU issue

so when you look up, you're not rendering anything, but when you look horizontally the GPU need to render terrain and objects, so then fps goes back down

Me too. Normally I would just assume is a performance issue, and it has to do with rendering objects, but changing view distance on those things changed nothing. Plus, with staying capped, it doesnt really make sense. Maybe something is forcing vsync on lower performance to prevent frame spikes

Alright, here's an update: I fixed it, but I have no idea what combination of things actually did it. The frame rate is no longer capped, and everything else seems fine. I re-updated the pack again through the launcher, and did some other things. Its still really strange, because I didnt change anything between having the issues, and playing fine earlier.

Okay, my download had to bug out because MO2 is missing four mods.

Obvious question, but did you restart the program? People don't because it takes a while. The only sudden 15 fps-like drop I've had was fixed when i daddy-saved during the mission and reloading the save after restarting. I assume there are memory leaks.

Same. Happened 4 times on reloading before accepting the mission/spawning enemies. It's not CPU overload like many have said. There's lag when the units are loading in and a little when they are fighting, all long before I get there, but the crashing is before I even get near, and the CTD is always about a hundred meters from the buildings. My mod list is vanilla 380 + Dead Bushes, Grulag's Hitbox (just player), Reduced Enemy Vision in Fog (it's not foggy), and Mutants Bleeding, all of which I've used a million times in the swamps.
Perhaps this mission doesn't like being repeated? I've definitely failed the mission before as I forgot about it and left the area.
Last time, I tried waiting a few minutes, then shift-walking (slow-walking) toward the station. Still crashed after I got past the section with the little islands connected by bridges, just to the south.

Is the installer confused? I don't know. All I know this issue is really getting old. The only thing this series of attempted fixes accomplished is make the save load even slower than before.

1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. Launcher as admin
2. Enable the top 4 boxes under the installation buttons, make sure they're selected
3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

since md5 checksum for github mods is still being worked on, even if you have "force git download" off but "check md5" on, it's still going to install github stuff, so if you have "force zip extraction" on when that happen and a github mod fails to download and extract properly you get file corruption and that's not fun right now

nope its a common misconception

avx basically allow the cpu to use some of its resources to the kind of calculations that the GPU does (basically offloading some GPU stuff to the CPU)

These optics STILL don't attach, and STILL do not create any entries in any log about it. The optics are compatible, but they just don't attach. Now an optic that previously worked now doesn't work anymore. Seriously what is wrong with this thing...

The gunslinger mod downloaded from the mirror installed properly no problems, same for BaS, large files are in. As always the exact same error message with these crashes. The optics don't attach to rifles they're compatible with, they create no sound to indicate a failure or even an attempt, and putting them into a binocular slot causes an immediate crash.

In-game settings

To bring your in-game settings back to default, DON'T press the "default" button in the game menu - you'll mess up everything. Instead, do this:

1) Go to GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata
2) Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there (note that every change made by you in your user.ltx will be reverted to default)
3) Go to Anomaly\appdata and paste the user.ltx there, and replace.

1. Run the installer as admin
2. Click on First Install initialization
3. Select your Anomaly folder
4. Close ModOrganizer
5. Click on Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

Started first game in 0.9 and Rostock was empty of normal stalker squads.

If i want to update my pre-0.9 version of GAMMA and have a Savefile where i currently play my Playthrough, can i savely install the newest 0.9 version without worry that my Savefile is corrupted and is unplayable (or do i get some inventory wipes or hideout wipes or map glitches etc.)?

Or should i finish my Playthrough first and then update to 0.9 after which i can delete my finished Playthrough Savefile anyway if something should happen?

Oh ok. I was thinking about updating my current version (which i kept after installing GAMMA weeeeks ago) since i encounter now and then some map loading glitches which either freeze healing animations or prevent me from fast traveling or from me leaving the map or HUD health glitches (the healthbars of my limbs and torso are red and empty).

I just deactivated the Radar and haven´t traveled further north yet and i wasn´t sure if i can or should update mid-playthrough since i didn´t want to loose my progress and all the nice toys. The only issue in the end was that i just needed 3x times the time to play a map when i got not loaded correctly.

Hey guys, is it possible to somehow disable perks from "perk based artifacts" mod, but keep the rest of the stuff like smelter/artifact condition and normal artifacts stats?
Alternatively, if this is not possible, is there a way to use the default Anomaly artifact system?
If I just turn the mod off, whole bunch of problems appear, like artifacts bugging in all sorts of ways and even crashes when shooting for some reason.

If you are blocked, then WAIT for the indicated time + 40 minutes and then try to visit the website again.
Alternatively, you can use a VPN to bypass the block.
Don't check every five seconds if the timer is going down, it can lead to problems.
Don't delete anything unless we told you to do so.

2. Disable antivirus temporarily

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list and a default list of keybinds and settings, just to make sure everyone has the same things.
When you update, everything goes back to default for this reason, so yes, it's normal.

AA is anti aliasing, AVX is a feature that allow the CPU to use some of its resources to do GPU type of calculation, but since the xray engine only run on one core you'd rather have it be fully utilized for doing AI and ballistic/damage calculation instead

certain system can see better performance with AVX but that's usually a rarer situation

3. Click "Install / Update G.A.M.M.A." and wait for the install process to be done
4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make also sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2

This procedure does NOT remove saves, you're NOT going to redownload everything from scratch and it WON'T delete your progress, your save is... safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall/fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated, will be updated, that's it, nothing else.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

update is not working right now since moddb is down, also if you're still referring to the installer that's outdated now, it's called GAMMA launcher

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

so i finally got into agroprom and right after I disabled the psy emitter and starting fighting the goblin man at the top it crashed and now my game wont open a single save, the game opens and lets me choose a save but the loading screen freezes and stays frozen

re update GAMMA is my only suggestion right now, ive been noticing a trend of people getting corrupted files at varying level after the last 2-3 patches

and have entered truckyboi since then with no issues

yea unless you have bugs related to the 4 mods from large files just uncheck "update large files" and then run the update again
