It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect.
You can turn it off:
1) Open the game.
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu.
3) Search SSS Settings.
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left.
Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

If these steps don't work and DOF remains enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Hey guys, dunno if it's related to ModDB being down, but I've been getting the GAMMA itch recently and decided to play it again, starting yesterday. Maybe 20 minutes ago, I'm in a call on discord, nothing out of the ordinary, and all of the sudden my PC blue screens. So, I run it back up, and try to launch GAMMA game through my shortcut, and get this fatal error everytime. Thoughts, tips, tricks? Fixes? Any will do.

I downloaded Anomaly today, updated it, it runs perfect. I was able to download and install the gamma installer, it seemed to run well, finished the download but I'm missing many mods, and the game will not even launch. The first error I handled was the k98 command and I was able to patch that no issue but the second issue I ran into (as far as my noob brain understands) was not one of the three choices. When I see the fatal error it says this:

I'm assuming I need to uninstall everything and start from scratch? That is just a lot of work and seeing how it worked the first time I unfortunately have little faith that will fix the issue. Hey all, I have the required 358 mods loaded but the game won't launch at all for me, it just shows the Stalker Anomaly loading window but I don't make it to the main menu. I've tried a reinstall but that didn't work. I'm getting the windows error sound, but no error message after launching the game

We can't really see the problem if you take a picture with your cellphone. If you have a problem you want to share with us, you can do the following, since we don't care about your second monitor or your desktop image:

1. Press F12 in-game, look in Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If it's not there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
2. Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTLR + V to paste the pic, save it, send it
3. Windows key + Shift + S, which let you choose what part of the screen you want to copy, it will directly copy the pic for you.

@tender forge holy shit man, I think you fixed it, I managed to find an anomaly installation that I downloaded back in 2022 in my backups folder, I installed the 1.5.2 patch, did the "k98" stuff again and at first it didn't want to launch for some reason, just froze in a little black window, but on the third try it booted into a full screen black window for like 2 minutes and then the reshade stuff loaded and the game launched

• if you load a save from before going into the arena, do belt slots work?
• does it work if you use debug menu to spawn yourself a new suit with a belt slot?
• does it work if you use debug menu to spawn in new armor attachments?

because the answer is really just "arena is buggy af don't use it" and "roll back to previous save"

or "spawn in an identical suit that doesn't have that issue"

arena is also super low on the priority list for development so i wouldn't hold your breath for a fix
