hi, I'm on linux and I think I have followed the instructions correctly, yet every time I load into a map it crashes saying there's a "Shader Compilation error".

I checked the logflile and this is the last line:
deffer_impl_flat.ps(7,10): error X1507: failed to open source file: 'screenspace_common_ripples.h'

I have disabled the cumulative shaders, the screen space relfection shaders, and deleted the reshade files. I have also made sure to delete the shader_cache in the files each time

anyone have a solution for this? I've been racking my brain for a day and a half trying to figure one out.

Eureka! I fixed it.

I copied the shaders folder located in /GAMMA/mods/190- Screen Space Shaders - Ascii1457/gamedata/shaders over to Anomaly/gamedata and it worked!

I haven't moved from spawn though so I'm aware of any other bugs we may find.

You'll need to delete your Anomaly folder.

1. Open your Anomaly folder, if you have any save files you want to keep, take them from this folder: Anomaly\appdata\savedgames
2. Delete your Anomaly folder
3. Extract a clean Anomaly folder (VERSION 1.5.2 IS THE ONLY SUPPORTED VERSION FOR GAMMA, if you don't have it yet, type and send !152 in #🤖bot-commands)
4. Run the installer as admin and make sure you have the latest version: 3.8 (If you don't have it, grab it here: <#📢announcements message>)
5. Click on Download GAMMA data and then click on Full GAMMA installation

Go to https://moddb.com and see if you are flagged as a bot. If you are, you will see a big red screen. You can either wait for the block to expire or use a VPN. Then run a full install.

Hi guys, I got a problem, I've played Gamma for a while now and during my adventure, i've added some mods. Nice, but until it started to randomly crash.. So i did a loooot of tests etc to know wich one can and cannot stay but now my MO2 profiles are foked.. Anyway, i'd like to get the DEFAULT MO2 Profile with the "359 mods" that should only be enabled. How can I do ? Because the Gamma Installer just install all the mods, even some that arent checked in MO2. Can someone share a profile file with the 359 mods Grok is talking about ? Thank you
PS : I did fok my Gamma after i decided to make an update of it... + the mods already added by myself..

Well I have unchecked Screen Space Shaders and Cumulative pack it crashed while loading the game, if I disable Jaku's improved shaders, it crashes straight after clicking play from anomaly launcher

You can try to uncheck only cumulative, remove all ReShade related stuff in anomaly\bin and also delete shaders_cash in appdata

guys.. dumb thing i did: named my character "test" to try out some game settings and ended up going with it for the playthrough..
the thing is, I cant change my stalker's name, even in the game's settings. I hit "Apply" and if I check, I'm still called "Test" lol
I think it has something to do with the thing (not sure if it's a mod) that makes the saves keep the character name in it.
Is there any way I can rename my char at all?? I really breaks immersion more than it should simply by saving the game lol

Hey all! I've been having an issue where my characters hands and body don't match my equipped outfit in first-person. I figured out where the mesh for my arms was and managed to swap the file out for another, but now I'm unsure where the mesh/texture is for the body. Is there any way to figure out the name of the mesh being used on my characters body is in-game? Maybe by using the console or something?

Maybe an easier question: Would replacing my body mesh in the mod folders for Dux's Character Kit or Fixed Vanilla Models and Textures make changes to my character model in first-person? Or is there a different folder for meshes used by the Visible Body mod?

hi everyone! Maybe you can help me. I disabled GAMMA economy and enabled Traders overhaul (I saw these actions as recommended if you didn't want the gamma economy experience) and started a new game. Now it seems to me that there are no roaming stalkers. I don't see stalkers around campfires, nor haven't met any yet outside of the ones I suppose are static to specific areas (important npcs, guards, etc,...) Is tehre a way to visualize a-life in some way to see if there are stalkers moving around? or some other way to know that I'm not bugged?

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

FOUND IT

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:

1. Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
2. Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
3. Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
4. While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
5. After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
   Bonus: You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list.

KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't just disable the mod in your current save file and call it a day. Your game will crash.
To remove it safely, you'll have to remove them from your save file with this addon, follow EVERY STEP: #🖇old-mods-posting message

My system language was ENG. And game was ENG too.
But when I deleted Russian (Ukrainian) pack and installed pure Russian - keybindings in English have started appearing.

I have only one explanation to this. Default keybinding is set for Russian language and for English it uses some form of "look up for corresponding letter" function. And since it can't find Russian, it breaks.

!busyhands you've got the busyhands bug, ignore the stuff about anims, just read the bit about how to fix (i.e. keep loading old saves until you find one that isn't like this)

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement
