so just had it happen again with AVX enabled (was running non-AVX before). GPU usage drops to zero when the game starts to hang (screenshot). secondary spikes are alt + tabbing in / out to end the process in task manager.

is weird. GPU memory doesn't spike, CPU usage doesn't spike much, memory is fine. game just hangs, turns to a black screen after alt + tab and have to kill the process.

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.
If you already updated to 1.5.2 and still having problems, it means you did something wrong.

  1. Download the 1.5.2 update: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/downloads/stalker-anomaly-151-to-152
  2. Open the zip, you'll see 4 folders and a text file
  3. SELECT the content of this archive (4 folders and a .txt file)
  4. DRAG AND DROP the content of this archive inside your Anomaly folder

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list to make sure everyone has the same things, everything goes back to default when you update or you do a complete installation, it's normal.

I understand gamma is just anomoly with a giant list of mod packs installed but the root of my question is would I need to have anomoly 1.5.1 installed on a separate hardrive to play that "experience" and anomoly 1.5.2 with the gamma mod packs running so I would not have issues. Or am I just overthinking this.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

  • interact with objects or people
  • use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
  • open your inventory
  • drink/eat/sleep
  • check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

  • Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
  • Animation for skinning mutants
  • Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
  • Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

A possible fix for busyhands if you have the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod enabled: reduce the auto_switch_distance_start in small increments of a few hundred at a time in \GAMMA\mods\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs alife.ltx.
Start with like 300 or something, then every time you get busyhands randomly, reduce it by 200 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.

Hey guys. just recently started the GAMMA mod and love it to bits, I had a question that you might be able to figure out, ive tried to look around the discord before writing to u but ive had no luck. i was wondering if there was a way to jump back into the character creation menu without starting a new character all together. i cannot proceed north because i do not have the psi headgear and the scientist wont sell it to me. i dont recall what ive checked and enabled prior to starting my game, but i would like to not have to restart. is there a way to change game modes ? please let me know at your latest convivence. thank you

To bring your mod list back to default, inverting any changes made by you:

  1. Open the installer with admin rights
  2. Click on Only install G.A.M.M.A. addons

Keybinds
To bring your keybinds to default, DON'T press the default button in the menu, you'll mess up everything.
Instead, do this:

Full GAMMA Installation does NOT remove saves, nor does it mean you are redownloading everything and it won't delete anything at all.
A full install will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall and fix them, and any that need to be updated will be updated.

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the installer will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
If these steps do not work and DOF stays enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

You haven't updated to 1.5.2, that's why you're seeing this error.

I have a weird issue:
I can't exit Zaton. Every time I go to an exit, the screen turns black for 5 seconds, and then fades in again, and I'm just standing in near the exit. I keep walking back and forth into the exit, and nothing happens, except the screen turning black for a few seconds.

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list to make sure everyone has the same things, everything goes back to default when you update or you do a complete installation, it's normal.

To bring your mod list back to default, inverting any changes made by you:

  1. Open the installer with admin rights
  2. Click on Only install G.A.M.M.A. addons

Keybinds
To bring your keybinds to default, DON'T press the default button in the menu, you'll mess up everything.
Instead, do this:

  1. Go in GAMMA RC3\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_patches\appdata
  2. Copy the user.ltx file you'll find in there (note that every change made by you in your user.ltx will be reverted to default)
  3. Paste this file in Anomaly\appdata

Hello all and unfortunately I am still having problems with the Hideout Furniture mod. The majority of the mod works as intended as I'm able to use the workbench to upgrade or craft whatever I need. The only real issue I'm facing is I cannot build any of the base items such as stashes or lights, though they are present in the game to be bought from vendors or spawned. The "hideout furniture" option is missing entirely from both the portable workshop crafting menu as well as the basic tool kit crafting menu. I've tried defaulting the mod list and reinstalling the mod to no avail. Any help would be appreciated!

I've done the !default and reinstalled the mod from mo2 as well as downloaded the latest version straight from moddb and pasted it in place. I also tried prioritizing it over all conflicting mods aside from gamma lighting as that causes a crash but to no avail. From what I can tell the mod is working as intended its just that the "hideout furniture" tab is missing under the crafting menus.

1. Go to your GAMMA RC3/downloads and delete gamma_large_files_v2 and gamma_large_files_v2.meta if you have it
2. Download the file from Github. Make sure it's called gamma_large_files_v2 and NOT gamma_large_files_v2-main, rename it if it has "-main" at the end
3. Make sure that the very first folder inside the zip is named gamma_large_files_v2-main and not gamma_large_files_v2
4. Drop the downloaded zip in your GAMMA/downloads folder AND DO NOT EXTRACT
5. Launch GAMMA installer as admin
6. Click the Download G.A.M.M.A. Data button
7. Click the Full G.A.M.M.A. installation button

  1. Disable antivirus temporarily and add exeptions for both GAMMA and Anomaly folders. (Google it)
  2. Open GAMMA installer as admin
  3. Click "Download G.A.M.M.A. data"
  4. Change ModDB download mirror from Default to 128 or 127
  5. Click "Full G.A.M.M.A. installation"
    Don't delete anything

You'll need to delete your Anomaly folder.

  1. Open your Anomaly folder, if you have any save files you want to keep, take them from this folder: Anomaly\appdata\savedgames
  2. Delete your Anomaly folder
  3. Extract a clean Anomaly folder (VERSION 1.5.2 IS THE ONLY SUPPORTED VERSION FOR GAMMA, if you don't have it yet, type and send !152 in #🤖bot-commands)
  4. Run the installer as admin and make sure you have the latest version: 3.8 (If you don't have it, grab it here: <#📢announcements message>)

  3. Find wherever you saved the vehicle_shit_fix.zip file

  3. Open the Program settings tab and select your game from the dropdown menu(the Anomaly exe that you are using).

To clean your "Shader Cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.
