Go to https://moddb.com and see if you are flagged as a bot. If you are, you will see a big red screen. You can either wait for the block to expire or use a VPN. Then run a full install.

FULL INSTALL:

1. Disable antivirus temporarily
2. Open GAMMA installer as admin
3. Click "Download G.A.M.M.A. data"
4. Click "Full G.A.M.M.A. installation"
   We strongly suggest you use mirror 127 or 128 when you do.

1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
If these steps do not work and DOF stays enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

Alot of times the problems on deck stem from problems on pc before the transfer

I did this successfully, but this bypasses the launcher. What do I do if I need to change launcher settings, like turning debug on or off? I tried running the launcher and savings settings, but when I launched from my new edited Exe, the settings weren't saved to it. It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
If these steps do not work and DOF stays enabled, press ~, type r2_dof_enable off and hit Enter.

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

If you want to turn on debug mode or make any changes in the launcher and keep playing with the affinity do this: open the launcher, set your settings and launch the game once from the launcher. Then your settings are saved and you can launch the game with the affinity exe. If you want to change those settings again you’ll have to open the launcher, change and launch the game once again. Somehow the launcher doesn’t save those settings if you just click save without launching the game

heeeeeeey sooooo i've noticed if i turn off certain mods, borderless mode gets broken. i turned off all the mods directed in the "the game is gray and bleak" part of the FAQ, and now when i start the game this happens. this doesn't happen in fullscreen, and seemingly i can switch from fullscreen to borderless fine, but just for that session, and also i can't even switch to fullscreen bc the game requires i hit apply for that option, which i literally cannot reach. no idea, couldn't find anyone bringing this up searching the server.

edit, in case anyone tries to find this like i tried to: seemingly restarting the game can fix it. in my experience it might not; it didn't before this point! so. who knows.

Hey guys, I just found out I cant disable debug menu ( F7 ) for my invictus runs. What ive tried so far is starting the launcher with / without admin rights, trying to save settings multiple times, checking the anomalylauncher.cfg if there is anything about it ( it says NODBG for me ) and yet I still can open the menu freely while ingame, no matter the setting. Any help here?

EDIT: ok lol I managed to fix this now by doing the following :

1. Start anomaly launcher with admin rights and disable debug menu
2. Start anomaly ( not gamma ) once to the main menu
3. Quit and start Gamma through MO2
4. Debug Menu seems to be disabled now

Hello, i'm trying to install gamma on a steam deck using Windows, the game runs perfectly but whenever i try to open the settings i get this error, i have found a bunch of threads online with the same "attempt to perform arithmetic on locale 'w' (a nil value)" but none have the same error code as mine, It appears to be something regarding screen resolution.

My Zone Customization Project mod is broken. Stalker respawned at precisely 3 hours after being killed no matter what settings I chose.

another quick question, why are technician inventories so static? the parts they sell changes a lot but the stuff above it never changes from tech to tech. like, they only ever sell a handgun repair kit and not other kinds of other kits. i'm just curious if there's something i'm missing bc the game does tell me technicians sell other kinds of kits but i never see them do

their inventory is sharply limited by supply level, and you need to increase it by giving them better tool kits. esp at supply lvl 1 you basically see everything they could stock all of the time

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

A possible fix for busyhands if you have the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod enabled: reduce the auto_switch_distance_start in small increments of a few hundred at a time in \GAMMA\mods\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs alife.ltx.
Start with like 300 or something, then every time you get busyhands randomly, reduce it by 200 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.
