figured out at least one way to hit this "out of IDs" error: are you on warfare mode?

the game has a hard limit of 65536 IDs. every stalker spawned = 1 ID, their PDA is 1, their gun is 1, they spawn in squads of 2-3... Warfare jacks up the number of squads... you see how it can happen

Single save issue (he hasn't played on different saves to test it). Apparently the game crashes out of nowhere, and its increased frequency began when he recruited 2 companions.

Now that you've reset the gamma profile to its default state, you will most likely crash because you're lacking additional 19 mods.
Do the full gamma instalation, so that you would have 358 active mods with no red ❌ under the flags column, then we can continue troubleshooting

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:

1) Enable Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload) (the mod under "Optional")
2) Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key (yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind)
3) Enable Ammo Check (this is a mod as well)
4) While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
5) After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus: You can also enable Mags Buyable at Traders if you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list.

KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't just disable the mod in your current save file and call it a day. Your game will crash. To remove Mags Redux you'll HAVE to remove them from your save file with this addon, follow EVERY STEP: <#🖇old-mods-posting message>

I've got quite interesting case. I have these 2 companions, but the case is I got them in pack. I asked stalker nr 1 (professional at the beginning, veteran now) to be my companion and he became it, but he seems to be in squad with stalker nr 2 (legend from the very beginning, nr 1 in the ranking) resulting in both of them becoming my companions at once. If I give comp nr 2 armor, he changes it to the one I give him, however if I do the same to comp nr 1 he doesn't change it no matter what quality the suit is. Weapons work for both of them. Also if I try to dismiss comp nr 1, I'm losing them both. Is there a way to "debug" it or it's more like a feature than a bug that they are "coupled"?

Also, if you have extra mods, The load order will be jumbled up and any enabling or disabling you have done will be changed. Best thing is to just take screenshots of you modlist

Yesterday Grim gave me this as a solution to fix my mod settings issue. I just have a follow up question regarding the last message. If I dont see an anomaly folder, do I just generate a new one and place this file in there? Or do I misunderstand which 'Anomaly/appdata' folder he is referring too?

Yeah the stutters are going to be there for almost every pc. It helps to set affinity in task manager and turn off core 0 if you havent already. Theres also a couple files that grok uploaded which can help

I have a 2080ti, and i7 8700 and 16 gigs of ram. A bit old but should be able to run a game like this. I think I read somewhere that the stutters are from the outdated game engine and not because of hardware

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement
