I'm getting this crash, first in the Darkscape almost to the first campfire, and now when I try to load the most recent save, which would be the autosave after entering Darkscape.

Anyone know what is causing these colors on the outside of NVGs? Its red during the day, and blue/purple at night, it changes color based on the NVG exposure. It only appears when wearing gas masks and only with the T1 NVG. Seems like a shader issue perhaps?

I enabled the Volumetric option on the Sunshafts just to see what it would do, and that somehow crashed my game, and now when I'm trying to restart my game to fix it all I get is a bunch of "Shaders failed to load check your log for additional details" and it's only saying the error message at the bottom and it's honestly hopeless for me to figure it out when all the files in shader_cache, no matter how many times I delete it to try and see if it fixes it. It repeats the error, and then says the same thing and the file it's reffering to is almost impossible to pinpoint because they're all called the same code, anyone know any fix?

If I want to completely remove any trace of Anomaly or Gamma from my computer before doing a fresh install, are there alternate files anywhere outside of the main gamma/anomaly folder that would effect how it installs? All of my major quest NPC's like the doctor in the swamps for Old Friend and Dr. Sahkarov in Yantar are missing from the game entirely, even after fully reinstalling the game. Anyone have any ideas what I can try?

Oh yeah I can manually spawn them in, it doesn't really "fix" anything though. That's what I've been doing to play in the meantime.

Sahkarov for example wanders off then disappears after I spawn him in because I assume he spawns in as a standard NPC and not with some quest flags or something.

Most of the other stuff I see from searches about missing NPC's seems to just be stuff about manually spawning them in then adding the correct logic to them afterwards.

I just don't understand why that would happen on a totally fresh install unless there are files somewhere else on the drive that impact the game.

Like how some games store saves in a folder outside of the main game folder or something.

The weird thing is I had a plain install and it was working perfect before the last time I updated.

Then I start a new game, log in, missing quest NPC's for the main quest.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

Stalker R.A.D. is open world and is based on CoP + Gunslinger but isn't publicly available.
Ray of Hope is open world and in closed alpha.

okay so basically, what happened is that I went through all the steps to install (installing anomaly, updating to 152, getting the RC3 stuff, all that) and when it was time to do a full installation of gamma, I clicked the corresponding button, locked my pc, and went to bed.
a short while after I woke up there was a power outage, which I though would be fine because I had given the game plenty of time to install, but now I'm getting 2 or 3 new error messages that are a bit concerning. when I have the mod organizer open, and it is set to anomaly DX11-AVX, and I click run, it locks the organizer, nothing happens, and it goes back to being unlocked. (I have checked xray_yourname.log, no fatal errors)

Hi there! I installed the game following all instructions to the letter from your startup tutorial for Windows. Everything was followed, using 7Zip, permissions, updating Anomaly to 1.5.2 first and booting it up once, it was all done with precision. When it came to launching the game (DX11) through the GAMMA shortcut ( I do have 358 mods installed ), the Anomaly logo shows and about 15 seconds later, that disappears with no error warnings. I then went back as per instructions, and updated GAMMA and did the full GAMMA addon installation as instructed, still getting the same result sadly. Sorry for this crazy TL;DR!

yes, although I do recommend opening ModOrganizer (MO2) first and making sure you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2 and don't see any ❌ in under flags, before running the game.

If you find any issues in MO2 then run another full install again after confirming that you are not blocked by moddb.com first (it is obvious). If you are blocked then wait for the indicated time + 40 min before installing.

2. Go to your C:/Windows/System32 and look for a file called Robocopy.exe

4. Remove Robocopy_10.exe from this folder and rename your recently pasted Robocopy.exe to Robocopy_10.exe
5. Relaunch the installer with admin rights, it should be fixed.

The 100% safe way to do so is by loading a save where you DON'T have the mod enabled OR by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.

Stashes are empty by default; you will have to find or get coordinates to actually find something in them.
These coordinates can be obtained as rewards by completing quests, by reading PDAs that you can find on the bodies of stalkers you kill and you can even threaten wounded stalkers to get them, before you kill them.

You can also buy them from traders, although the location is always random, so it could be anywhere.
And yes, if you buy coordinates from a trader in the northern part of the zone, it's always gonna be random.
