It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

Start with like 300 or something, then every time you get busyhands randomly, reduce it by 200 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.

Hi all, been playing GAMMA for about 2 days and while it's manageable, I get frequent microstutters and about once an hour (usually gunfights) the game freezes and I have to nuke it. I tried setting the affinity to remove the core 0 and play with the sound workaround enabled but still experience these. I have no additional mods outside the gamma pack. Anyone else experience these or have any ideas for a fix?

⬆️ I found out that quickly double tapping Esc solves this issue too, just like the inventory scroll speed bug. Just make sure the Music volume in settings didn't drop to 0 by itself

Is there a way for to edit the minimap's compass overlay and mission arrow? I find both of them very difficult to see. I looked around the mod files but didn't find a "simple" minimap DDS file or something

My game has been sluggish ever since I finished the miracle machine in Yantar. Load times have significantly increased and quick saving at a camp fire freezes the game for about 10 seconds. Hey, since recently gamma is not running at 100+ fps as usual. Now I am only able to get 30-40 fps no matter the setting preset(same for "potato" and "maximum")... I tried deleting shader cache, tried doing full gamma reinstall. I even tried to run stock anomaly and it does not have any issues running everything on max in yantar at 100fps. Any idea what the cause might be?

If you go to "mod configuration menu<Drop condition<weapons", you can adjust the minimum and maximum conditions you find on stalkers based on their rank.

I recommend adjusting it so that higher rank stalkers have weapons with better condition, so that the game escalates in good loot appropriately.

After updating a day or two ago and starting a new game, Doctor is missing from the Great Swamps for the first part of Living Legend. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could try to fix it? Someone mentioned something about a task auto complete mod conflicting and causing it but I looked and didn't see anything like that in the default GAMMA modlist unless it's under a weird name. I had a problem with the "monkey patches" crash whenever Id try to make a new playthrough and I did everything to fix that, but now Im having this error message right after the launcher crashes as soon as I press launch on mod organizer. hey so had to do a fresh install of both anomaly and gamma. I have tried launching the gamma version of the game but it will display the anomaly small loading screen instead of gamma. then crash completely without opening the game. I can load anomaly by itself with no issues but trying to launch gamma has been causing this. I'm not getting any crash code or anything either

Okay so I was here earlier in the day and didn't get any response from anyone, I tried doing a few things short of fully reinstalling gamma. I updated gamma yesterday off of a stock gamma install and now the doctor doesn't spawn inside of his tunnel in the Great Swamps for Living Legend. Anyone have any idea what I could try? Yeah that's likely to be an anomaly.

A good idea would be to just watch a video on youtube about getting started in Anomaly/Ganna.

There's a decent learning curve, but it's not too bad. That zap was an anomaly, there are little sound and visual cues that will tell you when one is nearby. It's too much info to post here though, that's why I'd recommend youtube.

It should say 358 when you boot it up under the gamma profile, you shouldn't need to activate more to achieve that number. If it's not at 358 from the start you're likely missing some files.

It sounds like something is missing or a mistake was made during install, I don't know enough about trouble shooting that though. It might be worth it to go back into the updater and redo the download GAMMA files and do a full installation.

The crash report may just be the text file that is generated into one of the anomoly folders every time you crash.
