question, i see that in gamma the UNISG team and mercenary are hostile to eachother, is the storyline then also affected by this? because in vanilla, UNISG goes to the mercenary base whom they are neutral to, is the UNISG storyline different in GAMMA?

Hey, I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this, I was wondering I've accidentally skipped a step in the installation step and was wondering if its easy/possible to keep the save (i've been playing on anomally thinking it was gamma). DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

I'm getting this error message when I click options in the main menu; and when playing. I'm playing on a steam deck. The game runs fine I can change the key binds via steam it's just when I click options in the games menu it crashes with this message. Any ideas? It's installer on my windows 11 partition.

1. Find the file GAMMA RC3\mods\G.A.M.M.A. UI\gamedata\scripts\ui_options.script
2. Open the document with a text editor
3. Go to the line number referenced in the error arguments (i.e. around line 800)
4. Replace tonumber(res[1]) with the width of your monitor (e.g. 2560)
5. Replace tonumber(res[2]) with the height of your monitor (e.g. 1440)
6. Save and launch G.A.M.M.A. (hopefully)

or copy the stock gamma profile again and enable/disable mods again, while deleting an essentially outdated profile that you created previously

this happens to me on steam deck when i try to launch MO2 by skipping a failed python plugin. MO2 won’t launch in Gaming Mode without skipping loading it. but then it will throw that message when you try to point it to the anomaly directory. in desktop mode you can force it to load the plugin by spamming retries. you can then point it to the anomaly folder and launch the game. the problem then is you don’t have controls because you’re not in Gaming Mode to map the buttons to keyboard :/

hey guys, looking to get some help with my game: it keeps crashing now, have 362 mods running (all from included GAMMA modlist) my uneducated guess is i have too many items in my stashes in Rostok, in previous crashes there was no error pop-up so i didn't know what to report, but now i have this:

I am moving gamma to another drive atm and was told to delete the mods folder in the instructions.

I swear there was a manual download for the mod folder content to speed up the process, like a torrent or something, but I can't find it in the instructions. Does anyone have it or am I thinking of something else?

Anomaly and GAMMA use .7z, this is the file format of 7zip.
WinRAR does the same thing, yes, absolutely, but you can have problems along the way.
So, it's better to use 7Zip.

Full GAMMA Installation does NOT remove saves, nor does it mean you are redownloading everything and it won't delete anything at all.
A full install will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall and fix them, and any that need to be updated will be updated.

To do so:
1. Open your G.A.M.M.A. installer as admin
2. Click "Download G.A.M.M.A. data"
3. Click "Full G.A.M.M.A. installation"

In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the installer will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

@tender forge I clean reinstalled GAMMA, deleted all my saves, and started a new game with the default modlist and the hud fov bug is still happening. I had no issues with it for like an hour but it just now started happening again.

I'm going to try disabling the 2 Free Zoom mods and see if that helps

No, it's been happening when I use items, food, meds, etc.

My hud fov is set to 0.65 before I use the item, and after I use it changes to 0.45

Not right now, I fresh installed Gamma and started a new run with just the default modlist to see if it would fix it but it didn't. This has been an ongoing issue, both with custom and default modlist, across multiple saves for multiple different playthroughs.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left

Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

@prime fulcrum @tender forge so @next glen figured it out, turns out I'm just a dumbass, when you use an item like food or meds, your hud fov changes to make the animation look better, and only resets when you pull out a weapon or something similar, I was resetting it back before the script had a chance to, hence why it reset every time and why everything I tried didn't work
