A full install will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall and fix them, and any that need to be updated will be updated.

I get a CTD every time I pull the final "Miracle Machine" lever. I read that I need to reload a save before I entered the X-16 Lab (and do it without saving inside the lab) again. Can anyone confirm?

If you get the bug on first load, try loading the same save again. It loads faster and is less likely to bug.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

The engine is from 2007, but to be fair, this is the modernized 64-bit version of it. I mean heck, it's running quite marvelously compared to its original version.

Bsod might be caused by overheating, unstable clocks, bad ram, bad drivers or OS itself needing a fresh install
Bsod should give an error code that you can google search and at least get a hit what might be causing it

its not normal for games to cause BSODs, I'm with S5yn3T, its probably something on your hardware. Either dying hard drive, or some kind of overheating (or if using a hybrid SSD/HDD partition could be something is going wrong transfering the files from one to the other).

after all its when its loading that its firing up the actual game environment and would make your computer actually load stuff to simulate

the second is that my inventory protection category UI is broken and only the ballistic is showing
(i only have screenshots for the second problem to see the first just close your eyes)

This command is specific for a specific kind of crash, but it's good in any case to remember an important lesson:

If you enabled ANY FDDA animation, turn them all off.
Yes I'm talking about backpack, crouch, mutant loot and items pick up. It's causing your crash. I don't care what you think it is, it's FDDA. Turn that shit off.

The only thing you can keep enabled is the first option: Enable FDDA animations

Fdda rework is the one that mostly causes crashes.
It's best to not enable any of the disables ones, otherwise they cause crashes
