for some of us the game will launch and simply won't show any image, it will run normally with sound but you'll just see a black screen.

just look for user.ltx file in your pc, open it with notepad and change the fullscreen to off, save it and launch.
that should fix it.

Alright, so the update apparently was supposed to improve AI detection, but if I shoot NPCs at range, they don't seem to be alerted and simply loot their fallen comrade. The only mod I've added is the Ghillie Suit Overhaul mod, but it says it has a patch for Stealth addon. Could anyone help me with where to put it in load order and/or how to install it properly? If there's other possible causes to my issue, please let me know. @ me in a response, thanks. I'm posting this in both because I feel more replies are here and having a single additional mod shouldn't make things too difficult to diagnose

I followed the first steps and went from 326 mods to 329 mods then I followed the second steps with the update-full gamma install. I’ve still got it running as I’m at work. Hi, I went through a level transition from cordon to garbage and the game started chugging like crazy, (I was getting around 4 fps) so I loaded the autosave anomaly made when I changed level and after the loading finished the game crashed to desktop. Also I did wait for like 2 minutes and it never stopped lagging that's why I loaded the save.

xrMPE is a match based coop experience that is available, it has the most solid netcode but it's not open world.
Stalker R.A.D. is open world and is based on CoP + Gunslinger but isn't publicly available.
Ray of Hope is open world and in closed alpha.

I have a running working install but I must launch MO2 as an admin or it makes a dmp file on the desktop and crashes on open. Files are not in program files folders. It is on Windows 11 though. Core isolation is off. I see some posts about this on the MO2 github but nothing really for a solution. Anybody run into this?

Okay I gotta put it here cause it's frustrating me. Keep getting a "Crash" where Anomaly hard freezes and goes black, the game keeps running after that but I can't see anything and if I alt tab out the screen is a little black box with no visuals. has anyone else had that happen? I'm on AMD. I can't provide a crash log because the game doesn't register it as crashing.
I've had it happen four separate times today while playing for about 30 to 45 minutes with no issue

G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list to make sure everyone has the same things, everything goes back to default when you update or you do a complete installation, it's normal.

im on mobile, can't send logs. but i posted it last night a few times trying to get troubleshooting advice. axr.main and fluid aim scripts keep breaking alongside me suddenly having missing textures. my guess is anomaly files got fucked from me having demonizeds modded exes before the anniversary update and since then shit hit the fan, causing install to not mount correctly.

ill delete my anomaly folder, re extract it back to root directory, add 1.5.2, then full install again. portable instance on mo2 is working okay at least so getting my custom mod list back into order shouldn't be an issue

although i kinda don't wanna install again just because idk how i feel about speedy pda lol.

2. Search for snd_cache_size and snd_targets then reduce their value from 256 to 128
3. Launch the game and open the settings.
4. Click Visual then Advanced.
5. Slightly reduce Texture detail and Object detail.

Then see if you can provoke another crash

i believe those are old/deprecated versions of the mods. most of those are now bundled into the gamma large files mod which will help reduce the network load they caused for moddb from how many people are playing the pack now lol.

It's the new DOF effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in MCM Settings (press ESC - Mod Configuration Menu)
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable options you don't like

fixed my issue of MO2 crashing on opening. Lenovo Legion laptop and an installed 3d sound utility called Nahimic was the culprit. Seems it causes lots of issues and is a pain to get removed. A possible fix for busyhands if you have the "Turn this on if you stutter" mod enabled: reduce the auto_switch_distance_start in small increments of a few hundred at a time in \GAMMA\mods\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs alife.ltx.
Start with like 300 or something, then every time you get busyhands randomly, reduce it by 200 more.
If the fix needs to be resistant to changes made by the installer make sure to also modify the alife.ltx file in \GAMMA\.Grok's Modpack Installer\G.A.M.M.A\modpack_addons\Turn this on if you stutter\gamedata\configs

The game actually managed to create a save file (autosave), but didn't go past the loading screen. "Can't find texture/sound (weapons)" and the "Invalid ogg-comment" errors are still present. Crash logs have this feature that tell you what the problem is, if you can read it, you can fix it

2. Search for snd_cache_size and snd_targets then reduce their value from 256 to 128
3. Launch the game and open the settings.
4. Click Visual then Advanced.
5. Slightly reduce Texture detail and Object detail.
