The problem is that it is an 18 year old game with >300 mods on top of it. You can also attempt some fixes in #old-framerate-optimisation
Another option is to launch the game from MO with or without AVX on whichever directx version you are using. Some people get better performance with avx, some without.

I have seen some streams where when you open your inventory a backpack animation is showing in the players hands, how would install that mod ? apologies if this question is answered elsewhere i am not too good at this 🙂

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.

If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:

• interact with objects or people
• use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
• open your inventory
• drink/eat/sleep
• check your HUD in the bottom left corner

If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.

The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.

Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:

• Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
• Animation for skinning mutants
• Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
• Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

So your log mentions an invalid parameter in xrDebugNew.cpp which is usually a permissions issue. Launching as admin should help since your games arent installed in a bad location. Fingers crossed for you.

Oh well, since nobody replied I will post it here.

If you start the game and you have a black screen and then the game window minimize itself, you need to unplug all you monitors except for the one you need to play on and then click on the game icon again, the game will finally show up with the main menu.

The log indicate that the game is running but the game cannot show itself if you have multiple screen like me (Incurved, standard and drawing) and with different frequency (144Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz)

DO NOT ENABLE Bounty Squads Extended (Mod 44). It has been disabled due to a multitude of bugs. Also DO NOT ENABLE Bounty Kill UNLESS TOLD TO, even if when it's disabled and you see a crash and the error references "bounty squads" or "bounty squads" is in the log.

If you meet one of those two follow these steps:

1. Enable GAMMA Bounty Kill (under GAMMA Fixes)
2. Launch GAMMA (You may get an immediate crash, this is fine, relaunch)
3. Play as normal until you crash with an error/log referencing a nil value.
4. Disable GAMMA Bounty Kill.

Hello I have encountered an issue. I have started a new game on easy difficulty with tourist progression on loner, but the tasks I get seem to be harder. Like I just barely started and Sidorovich asks me to go to red forest or jupiter and his prices are way high. Also the NPCs are asking for sewing kits, gun cleaners and reverse bounty hunts.

if you're looking to squeeze a bit more performance outa it and your confident in you're pc abilities, id recommend doing a bit of overclocking of your cpu and ram. just beware of how that might affect high intensity workloads. can also add gpu overclocking but seeing as the settings didn't change your frame rate i kinda doubt your using your gpu to its potential.

The radio within my PDA doesn't work reliably, I've tried turning it off and on, changing back and forth between radio channels, restarting, turning the volume up/down etc. Sometimes when I turn it on, music will play, sometimes it won't. Since this sound strange, I literally mean "TYPE WITH YOUR KEYBOARD", you don't have an option where you can type in, like a console command.
