Is it not a mod like the economy that you can just toggle?
Incorrect, gamma is very modular, but what you are talking about is a core gameplay mechanic, you can modify or change them, but its not 1 mod, and we dont handle that in the channel for people asking questions or support for the default mod list.

No due to the fact that weapons and armor have parts, which would require not just checking an option
Even if you did turn on the button, they would only repair overall condition not the parts
Could've sworn traders repaired the parts before.

Does weapon damage matter or is it just the ammo type? Like the RPK-16 and AK-105 both fire the same ammo but the RPK-16 has higher damage
Weapon damage matters, but not as much as ammo type. In your example the RPK will do more damage, provided the rounds used are the same, and the muzzle velocity is the same.

What are you hitting to update?
You need to hit either full gamma install or only install gamma addons AFTER that. That but just tells the installer what mods to turn on and off, and what to download.
When is the last time you hit Full GAMMA install.

To bring your keybinds to default, DON'T press the default button in the menu, you'll mess up everything.

user.ltxfile you'll find in there (note that every change made by you in youruser.ltxwill be reverted to default) - Paste this file in

But in order to repair them you'll need to "smelt" them, which is a device you can get from the ecologists 🙂 @polar steppe

Ok, I think I know what happened.

If this fix doesnt work, I have a work around for you. Close Installer and MO2. The I want you to run installer as admin (keep antivirus off) Click Allow Powershell scripts, THEN do the Update Gamma Data, Only Install Gamma Addons. (AV probably stopped the powershell commands being allowed the first time)

I like to play with absolutely no HUD. When i go into the options and deselect "Show HUD", it still doesn't hide the rad, stamina, psy, limb, and general health indicators. I'd like to have those only show up when i have my inventory open. Is there any way to do this?

I don't think so. You'll have to add it yourself since GAMMA doesn't focus on Warfare at all.

FYI: Warfare in general is very unstable in GAMMA, and in general really. Poor FPS and offline combat a plenty, it might crash your game unfortunately

I have a problem, could someone help me?. Weapons that have an adjustable zoom telescopic sight will not function properly if the weapon also has a grenade launcher. If I activate the grenade launcher, the telescopic sight zoom gets stuck at x1, if I want it to work again, I have to remove the scope and equip it again.

Its in my head. The reason I honestly figure this stuff out, I started by learning to read the logs. I can look at the xray log and usually know what map you are on, what you were doing, and even what gear you had probably XD.

The blue tint has the command thing. I looked into it, and forget what I found XD. But I think I found that turning off Roadsides, and clearing shader cache helped alot. I want to say mask overlay off also helped.
If you have that annoying blue tint, open your GAMMA folder and go here: .Grok's Modpack Installer/GAMMA/modpack_addons/. Then, delete this mod: mod: 188- Enhanced Shaders - KennShade
Now, open your MO2 and reinstall 188- Enhanced Shaders - KennShade and tick:
01 Enhanced Shaders - PBR
02 Enhanced Color Grading

So BR class is basically the effectiveness of your armor at stopping a bullet. The higher the BR Class, the more different ammos it can stop
How does the Spike artefact interact with buckshot, does each pellet apply a stack or does the whole shot just count as 1 stack?

Think of it this way: Basically IF your BR armor is better than the AP value of their bullet, then the round does virtually no damage. BUT if that round pierces your armor then the BR% comes into play as a damage reduction. (I think its a very complicated damage system, and grok knows it better than anyone, but I believe I am correct.) You will also notice a correlation between BR% and BR Class

Anytime, yeah the system is honestly super cool, and very clever. It is also VERY complicated though. Alot more factors come into play, but I dont like explaining everything I know because at that point im giving you an excel sheet instead of an adventure you get to learn about by playing.

The one rule to always know though: You will NOT ever have armor that can stop any round in the pack. But the same goes for enemies. With the "best" guns you and the enemy will die equally quick.
Though there is a "protection" against being 1 shot. Unless its a headshot, or does enough damage that your torso gets destroyed.

To my knowledge yes, however you can make it very minor damage with the right gear. GAMMA is basically set up to prevent you from becoming immune, as that would affect more than just anomalies since some mutants do that same damage type, and also would make anomalies basically pointless if you dont have to care.
I've always imagined BR similar to DT in Fallout: New Vegas, if you've played that game. I don't know if that's a helpful point of reference for people but it helped my peanut brain grasp the concept

So you need to make a clean anomaly for gamma. In addition I would highly advise not using your current saves, as it most likely will not work. You can however either do a second anomaly, or copy your saved games folder and put it somewhere safe

it can take quite a long time to have a effect, might need more than 24 hours
It takes a few days ingame to take effect.
Basically it will run through the current queued spawn orders, and then as the table runs out, the new settings get applied.

You wont 😉 with mo2 the files arent actually in anomaly, they are applied as you launch through it. This is what allows the modularity, and the ability to carry saves through many updates without reinstalling.
Really didnt want to ditch the storymode in favour of the buggy warfare mode so this is just amazing

Could you let me know how to respawn him and apply his logic back to him, then I can apply your fix (the one I am replying to) to trick the game into ignoring his death.

Is your character coughing? There's a bug called "busy hands" that can, among other things, stop your HUD from updating and then showing you radiation
You may be close to some elemental anomalies, they cause residue damage over time in an area.

How do i uninstall gamma? By simply deleting folder its in? I did everything right and it does not work - pc crashes and depowers when i about to load in. Must be a hardware issue. Anomaly on rare occasion would do the same, but never when i run it on directX 9 mod.

Stashes are empty by default; you will have to find or get coordinates to actually find something in them. These coordinates can be obtained as rewards by completing quests, by reading PDAs that you can find on the bodies of stalkers you kill, you can even threaten wounded stalkers to get them, before you kill them.
You can also buy them from traders, although the location is always random, so it could be anywhere.
Inside these stashes you can find toolkits.
In the south part of the Zone (everywhere UNDER Red Forest) is where you'll find Basic and Advanced.
In the north part of the Zone (INSIDE Red Forest and ONLY NORTH from there) is where you'll find Expert, along the other two.
You also have the gunsmithing toolkit, which is used to craft ammunition of all kinds and you also have the drug making kit, used to create drugs and medicines.
Depending on the location, north or south:
White stashes have a small chance of finding ANY toolkit inside, this means that you can find ONE basic/advanced/expert toolkit OR a gunsmithing toolkit OR a drug making toolkit.
Green stashes have a 100% chance of finding ONE toolkit from this specific pool: Basic, Gunsmithing or Drug Making kit. Advanced and Expert are random and depend on the area the stash spawned in.

Hello, what mods would I have to disable to remove all limitations on fast traveling?
When skinning crows, they sometimes drop "Ammo Parts" (literally the name of the item, not like casings or propellant). Is this just a leftover useless item? It looks like it's supposed to be used in a crafting recipe, but I haven't seen any that use it, unless it's just a leftover item.

usually optional and off = fine if you want it, disabled = issues in the pack

Best is to honestly ask. Not all bad ones in disabled, not all okay ones can just be turned on, other stuff might happen first. Anything animation based I would say is going to be a general don't touch it

Colors look very washed out and uniform after updating. (Even by dead zone standards) Also noticed that guns are looking way more blurry or so like cartoony, i feel like graphics looked way better before the update or more likely that i'm doing something wrong. Is there any way to console force Hip to become a companion? I completed the first task (the Toz and ammo) and got the Snork Hands task, but it took me forever to find them and the next time I was back in the village the task seemed to have disappeared from my task list, and dialogue options with Hip are only ever 'Bye' or 'Peace' now.

usually typing "help" should list commands to use. but for shader settings the best way to do it is just to change it in the user.ltx file in the base anomaly folder. might require a more tedious string of restarts but usually it's much easier to fiddle and fine-tune with at least in my experience

I had a previous game going before that with some custom mods going and I wanted to restart to see if the experience was better with vanilla
ZCP settings take a while to make a noticeable difference
Loners are obviously a Starter Faction so a slower Start is preffered with them
IIRC it takes roughly a ingame day for Cordon to really get some action going
(and the game simulates npcs moving outwards from their spawn in the beginning)
not talking out of experience since i always played Mercs, and with Mercs you get plenty of action early on

Loners and Clear Sky are basically the same, the difference is in where you start, CS also have some worthy rewards for their quests, good stuff to start with (and you can do those quests with Loner as well)
Freedom/Duty is basically "who do I like the most"
Militaries is difficult because you basically have the whole Zone against you
Mercenaries/Monolith is hard game from the beginning, only for expert players and masochists

i dont think suppressors will do anything other than suppressing the shot sounds of your weapon but im not completely sure about that
They give a small buff but cause faster wear

I randomly tried just dragging replacement parts onto an AK and it worked. I thought I needed a workshop with the right tools /army rifle repair kit to do this but it just allowed me to do it in the inventory screen. is this a bug or feature? if its a feature, is there any downsides to doing it like this?
No not a bug but can't do it with barrels and every time you do it your weapon condition will go down
Hello, thanks for the excellent modpack. Question: I have a 32:9 monitor but running in 32:9 creates huge FPS loss. How can I force the game to run in 21:9 with black bars? When I select 2560x1440 it runs stretched instead of black bars. Thanks.
I find 2560x1440 is the sweet spot for higher resolution monitors if I run it at my native resolution of 3840x2160 then some of the icons become far too small

it is recommended that you do all repairs on a workbench or tool kit though because if you can't repair weapon condition in the field this will lead to weapon parts starting to degrade faster the lower your weapon condition is
I don't know why you would want to run with black bars
with it stretched in lower resolution, it causes objects to look squashed. but i did figure it out, i had to turn off scaling in my nvidia control panel to get black bars
Don't know how to adjust brightness there so I just disabled dynamic tonemapping in mod organizer, still can't set brightness though...

I have ammo checker installed and mags redux, do I have to go to my inventory and reload every time or is there a hot key. I filled them with bullets, but when I pressed r it didn’t do anything

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
- Enable
Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload)(the mod under "Optional") - Disable
G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key(yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind) - Enable
Ammo Check(this is a mod as well) - While in game, check your keybinds for reload and unjam
Bonus) You can also enableMags Buyable at Tradersif you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it in your current save file. The only safe way to do so, is by loading a save where you don't have the mod enabled or by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.

We can't really see the problem if you take a picture with your cellphone. If you have a problem you want to share with us, you can do the following, since we don't care about your second monitor or your desktop image:
- Press F12 in-game, look in
Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If it's not there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder calledoverwrite - Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTLR + V to paste the pic, save it, send it
- Windows key + Shift + S, which let you choose what part of the screen you want to copy, it will directly copy the pic for you (Snipping Tool™️ is subject to Windows own settings, not game settings, meaning gamma, brightness, and colour balance will be different.)
- I need the one you make from mo2, not the one from the mo2 folder.

just a command that will quickly tell someone what a vanilla mod list is. It might sound obvious now, but since gamma DLs a bunch of mods but doesn't have them on by default people (including me at first) think its still vanilla when customizing their own gamma

basically the answer to your questions is yes, bleed can persist saves, but it shouldnt if you heal. Healing at a medic should have fixed it.

Mods under the G.A.M.M.A Disabled category AND ALSO other disabled mods that aren't under this category, are disabled for a variety of reasons: compatibility, performance, bugs, busy hands, etc. DO NOT ENABLE THEM.
Also, DO NOT ENABLE ANIMATIONS THAT ARE DISABLED BY DEFAULT, IN MCM IN GAME OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE MOD LIST, they're disabled for the same reasons written above.
Since you'll probably ask: "Why do we these mods if we can't activate them?"; Because G.A.M.M.A., as a whole, it's STILL IN BETA. NO, Grok can't simply remove them. Version 1.0 will have a clean mod list.
If you really want to use stuff that is disabled by default, forget about #old-bugs or #🔨base-gamma-support, don't use these two channels. Use #🔨modded-gamma-support instead.

Yes, except If the game comes with optional things i.e. Back in the day if you bought a game that included DLC and had to click a box to turn the DLC on, its still vanilla. People understand adding their own stuff is not vanilla, they dont understand typically changing mods that come with GAMMA is. I literally explain this at least 5 times a day XD
