I agree. Try the stutter fixes, try using non AVX modes, and setting r_no_ram_textures on in console in game. If none of that works I would then start doing #old-framerate-optimisation as far down as you need to go, if still bad the only option would then be dx8 and removal of all shaders and the like.

Not surprised. AVX increases overall performance, but it does so by offloading some of the GPU load onto the CPU. Great if you are being GPU bottlenecked but in your case it just makes it worse

Just the guys around. You might occasionally run into some who are angry, think of it like running across his friends/family. The rest will be fine. You can pay them off via barkeep or similar npcs. In addition your reputation with the faction will not go below 0 if you are on a quest

To Repair the barrel is the same as any other part, as long as it meets the minimum %. Some repair tools will mention that they can be used to "clean" parts on guns, that is what you are looking for in terms of Repairing.

In terms of Replacing a barrel, you need a couple of things.
To remove a barrel from another gun you need a multi-tool (Maybe something else works but I always go with multi-tool). With the multi-tool you can "Disassemble" which will give the barrel back.

To install a barrel on the gun you want to keep you need the relevant tool box. ("Historic", "Rifle" ect.)

I like mysteries and this one has the potential to be interesting, so I might spin up a test install and see, I actually suspect that potentially what might have happened is that the pause unpause basically caused xray to "end" demo without actually ending it. Which resulted in you being in normal play, but with the camera attributes of demo.

any addiotnal settings in FDDA can cause the Busy Hands Bug and its HIGHLY recommenced you dont touch anything else in FDDA

The one tick thats in the FDDA Menu comes from Gamma and is for the eating/drinking animations

Backpack, Chopping and Item Pickup should all stay disabled to guarantee a more stable playthrough
