Its not dumb, if you dont know its always better to ask, and there is no guide for this in the discord, so please dont feel bad. I just wanted to make sure you werent having a problem in game. Different engines and games work differently, and can reserve different amounts of resources like VRAM for instance. Just depends on how its storing and loading data. GPU can hit 100% in games and such, as long as your temp is staying below lets say 83 degrees C you should be fine. CPU can max out, but again as long as temps stay under the 80s they will be fine. If these items start to overheat, it will turn the PC off before it damages anything.

Ah I guess that is probably true, as the assumption is you would have the base one which is all its used to make.
After about 6 or 7 days mercs and giants started spawning in cordon, taking out the whole farm.. is there anyway tto stop this from happening? I tuned off "random spawns" in ZCP when I started the game, but now all sorts of high level mutants spawn.
So that happened to me one time where some mercs or a giant showed up. BUT it only happened once, I did not adjust the ZCP settings at all. I am not sure if this would work, but you could try putting ZCP back to default and see what happens, as the spawns and what can spawn where has all been modified to one extent or another...
You could also try loading a save from before the spawn and it should change what spawns to make the fight a bit easier.
yea, I will try an earlier save and see if that works. Just found it odd that they spawned. Only seen dogs, boars and a single bloodsucker, but all f a sudden I am getting chased by giants

Trust me, some times when I have a companion for some reason (normally dont like them in any game) I think about turning it on anytime they are doing weird things so I can yank them back like a leash
hehe, I don't usually travel with a lot of companions either, only use hip or something similar for a mobile extra stash... but the main problem is when you do a couple rescue and undercover missions + maybe you have a group you're escorting somewhere and all of a sudden there is a psy storm/emission and they won't get in the damn wagon at the wild territory merc camp for example - or any other wagon, like the one at the far north of great swamps, at the road to agroprom

The only time (or at least one of them) you can actually find ammo on guns is when you have those "bring back the shipment" quests, the dead stalkers always have ammo in their guns

Depends on what I am doing, since I am a dirty loot goblin I sorta keep an arsenal available. For pushing north of warehouses I typically use something like and SKS Tacticool for mid-long range, a P90 for CQB, and an FNP-45 for mutants. For going into undergrounds or mutant work I use either a saiga or a carib shotty, with either a AK105 or M4A1 RAS for dealing with stalkers, and usually a 9x19 pistol (USP Match right now)
If I am going south, Ill change the AR to a 9mm subgun, and the USP Match back to the .45

Maybe not auto strip since you could actually potentially use a gun you find straight away but damn having a "strip all" mode just like some mods offering "unload all" would be very nice.
What would be even nicer is "disassemble all" for items you mark as "disassemble" items - much in the way how you can mark stuff as favorite in order not to auto-stash it with the rest of the gear.

Does higher pressure ammunition lower condition more, or does it not matter?
South of army warehouses any 5.45/7.92 or 5.56 gun, the ammo is plenty and easy to craft. I find 9mm submachine guns like MP5 a bit underwhelming with ballistic overhaul enabled, since their low armor penetration makes it hard to kill anything with actual armor. Also I would use a good shotgun like a saiga, carrying both buckshots for mutants and slugs for actual close combat fights.
Anything up north, I'd just use the remington and maybe some machine gun rifles of same ammo type, reason being their ammo is the easiest to craft (apart from 7.92x54), the ammo has a high armor pen from the getgo (FMJ) and the remington just has a very high base damage. Also cool is an SVD dragunov, the automatic fire is very very nice to have when facing multiple enemies.
as far as I'm aware not in this modpack (could be wrong), unlike some other modpacks like Dark Signal, where different ammo types can actually vary in significant differences in gun wear.

so bullets are given a penetration ranking based on the russian body armor system, but there is a secondary parenthetical number that seems to correlate to penetration rank, what is that?
I am not sure on this, but I believe that value is the damage it will do to the armor if it does not penetrate.

ive seen loners wearing armor that includes an atlyn helmet with a gas mask, is that npc only or is it a suit i can acquire?
When i try to use any item by double clicking on it in my inventory, it will act like it is using the item (playing the animation) but it will also drop the item and nothing will happen (food or drink wont be applied. medkit wont heal.) hotkeys work though.

Helmets and suits are separate. You can wear any helmet with any suit just like npcs. Actual player model doesn’t reflect it but the game is in first person perspective so it doesn’t matter

To clean your "shaders_cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

90% of times when i delete it, i can't launch the game anymore, it gives, shader compilation error or whatever its called
Then make a save of the shader folder, if that happens you still have a shader folder that somewhat works.
But if the shader compilation failed something else is wrong

I never had the issues you mentioned at all, so gamma itself is most likley not the devil.
I had the error with shader compilation one time (not with gamma) and that was when I set up the load order wrong for mods that depend on shaders.

I do not really understand what you mean by updating all of these. It is the same mod just different versions of it, the "latest" one should be the newest one out and in the end you should only activate one of those in a modpack, not all.

I don't think there's any reasons. It must be a random radiation spot and well, Jupiter is a Northern location, so the radiation levels there are high.

- Press F12 in-game, look in

Hence:
GAMMA uses patched .exes to make most of the magic work.
If you attempt to validate the game files (as if they were vanilla) the Launcher will detect the .exes and fsgame.fx as corrupt.
Never use the launcher for anything other than enabling Debug menu, and perform a complete install using Grok's Installer program.

Reliability is how fast the weapon's Condition decreases after firing. Handling affects your grouping when firing in Full Auto/Really Fast (and I THINK it affects how fast you equip the gun? Not sure). In most cases, prioritize Accuracy, Handling and Reliability. Rate of Fire is usually not important to increase (unless it's a really slow-firing weapon), and Flatness (bullet speed) is often not a concern, unless you're using 9x39 ammo (VSS Vintorez, etc)
I personally go reliability first, less repair goes a long way imho

Portables are better IMO, like I have EFP and GAMMA with portable instances. Especially since GAMMA gets updates often so it's a hassle free experience with a portable instance which also doesn't affect your global instance (correct me if I'm wrong about the global instance).
I use Global, but each game has it's own folder. Also I have the download files in one driver and the active files in other.
Well, technically you can do that but it's not very practical because you'll need to get updates for GAMMA. So you'll need to download GAMMA data from github and do everything manually, the exclusive fixes, MCM settings, user settings. I mean if you're up for it then you can do it it's just that there's no guide for this anywhere.
I'm okay with keeping the GAMMA folder just to update the game and then just copy whatever is necessary to my own MO2 folder. I just want to be sure which files I need to copy. It's just the addons, modlist, separators, that files that must go in the Anomaly folder and things like that or there's more?
Well, you obviously have to copy mods, profiles folders, also GAMMA definition zip has modpack_patches which needs to be copied as well.
But my honest advice is don't bother

Ok so I decided to do the Core 0 fix to see if that would resolve my occasional stutter when looking at campfires or a big anomaly field. Now my gamma just hangs on splash screen. I can always revert the changes I made, just curious if there is something known about this.

The idea is to eliminate CPU 0 from the cores which Anomaly uses.
Yeah I am going to double check the affinity value, but if it doesnt work no big deal, the stuttering is honestly very minor for me, and only in relation to either a ton of anomalies trying to calculate or campfires for some weird reason lol.

So whilst you are typing that up I did the math (I freaking hate math) and adjusted my affinity, whats super weird about this is that seems to be working, it is launching it on high with the correct affinities... but then it just goes non-responsive lol

ok so it's basically more about doing the clear effectively rather then screwing something up, to my knowledge the only thing clearing the shader cache does is clearing the pre-compiled shaders so that shouldn't brake the game or something - unless the shader locations got completely swapped and the launcher shader clear function actually erases something critical
I got a bit jumpy because I'm used to clearing cache through launcher every-time I launch the game and I did so here as well
Well, basically, the game compiles new shaders when you launch it after deleting the old cache. So not a problem of fucking something up. You can back up the old cache somewhere if you'd like to

Stashes now have limited carry weight. To store many items, you need to craft boxes where you'll have more space to store your loot. This change was made so that base building mechanics has an in-game purpose.
It forces the player to think about what he/she chooses instead of piling up tons of useless weapons that worsen loading times, inventory opening times, it also makes the game "lighter," all stuff related to make the game more "quicker".
If you don't like this change or maybe you're in the middle of a run and can't afford/don't want to use straight away the hideout feature, you can enable this mod under G.A.M.M.A. Fixes called "Unlimited Stashes Weight".

basically yes, you get the same tier/type at the same condition
so best to bring a fully repaired suit
for example i traded my repaired mono exosuit (and skele, and nos) to mercs as i got them for the equivalents
and you can make use of this feature under disguise, if you would like to get another factions armor
seems useful for sure. the NPC says the cost "includes repairs" though which is confusing. does it repair the overall condition bar at least?
no, but with armor this is much easier than guns, if you can get your armor to at least a certain condition that you can use a sewing kit on, you can automatically bring up the condition of all the other broken aprts

for example: you have an armor with 4 parts, you can replace two of them with 100% parts and maybe a third with only a 30% part, this gets the overall condition to ~65% and then you can use sewing kits to fix the rest, in the process autmatically fixing the components
also, disassemble all the items you find that have a gear icon
you will be swimming in armor parts in no time at all
not to mention the fabrics to make better backpacks

Has anyone played on Survivalist progression difficulty? How slow is it?
pretty slow
you get less money for rewards, you get less money for selling stuff, shit is more expensive
Would you even recommend it? I wanted a slower experience but nothing insane.
For me personally it's really slow till I find advanced tools and gear to repair with them for moving into Radar and shutting it off. After that I start to thrive when I find expert tools.
I am bit of a noob when it comes to crafting and repair, would I be relying on it more?

Crafting is the core of GAMMA
Especially ammo and repair kits for weapons, armor
crafting is essential
I've always had trouble understanding parts of it, any good guides?

I've always just scavenged and repaired things.
you still do that, you just combine the things you scavenged and build something better with it

Recently I upgraded my AK12 monolith to tactical using the upgrade kit you can buy, and it has a nade launcher AND a canted sight. My question is, if I press V I use the canted sights, but how do I use the grenade launcher then?
its ur third rotation
1 press for GL
1 for ACOG
1 for canted laser
then it just rotates
tbh I wish there was a separate button for GL but hey
no the laser is straight and is activated by holding L
if I press V multiple times in a row it just switches between ACOG and red dot
what for me if I press V it switches between acog, laser cant and GL
yea the canting of the AK-12 allows u to use the laser on it to aim
oh wait, if ur talkin about red dot sight

the GL has a red dot for its sight
not ur typical GL sight
try firing ur GL when u aim with the red dot

Excuse me if I misunderstood but you've said the upgrade kit has a GL, it has a mount for it and doesn't include the GL itself. You have to buy it as a separate item. Just checking if you've got the Guard GL.

Probably the 30th times someone has posted this question, but giving armor and weapons to random stalkers isn't working for me. I get them in my team drag and drop the equipment and they don't switch to it.
One thing I know about weapons is that they'll pick the best weapon they have so if their default weapon is better than the one you give them they're not going to switch to it.
Well, you solved the weapon part. Now its just a matter of why this merc won't wear the new merc nozorog
I believe this may be connected with enabling a mod in MO2 but since I never gave armor to any of my lads I don't know. Someone else has to say more about this.

How do I repair this gasmask? The only applicable repair kit I see requires the gasmask to first be >50% durability.
Since we can't buy new armor, I'm not sure how to upgrade my kit since I can't really seem to repair this stuff either.

That does not answer my question. The guide says to use the field armor toolkit when clothing is almost destroyed, but again, it requires the armor to be >50% condition so this does not work. When opening the field armor toolkit the damaged clothing is not there.
whats the durability of ur gasmask

its saying it has to be greater than 50%
This guide says the field armor repair kit works to repair clothing which is almost destroyed.
The example given shows the overcoat going from 10% to 100%.
So, how do I repair my 20% condition gasmask, or any I find for that matter?
I'm talking to Xenotech right now, but he will not repair the gasmask either.
