My guess if we eventually get a continuation of the lore is that the Strelok or the skiff endings will be canon, both leave the zone "healthy". Skiff ending even opens up the lore to different settings.

Gamma 2 is not possible unless stalker 2 gets really old. There's no point making a replica, when the game is somewhat active.

Also, people forget that gamma is mostly compiled mods. Stalker 2 don't have a lot of mods yet.

я очень мало поиграл в ванильный S2 и почти сразу перешел к модам, но насколько я помню в ванильной игре мутанты неадекватно толстые и на них в большинстве случаев не имеет смысла тратить ресурсы. Во первых не с каждого мутанта падает лут а во вторых даже если и падает, то как правило он не окупает затраченную амуницию. Я бы посоветовал не бояться менять подобные неадекватные моменты с помощью модов и наслаждаться игрой а не заниматься кое чем)

i have no idea what i was going on about there. it was 12:55 am and I was going on like 20 hours of no sleep. However I would like to say that I would've like it if GSC GW went with an artistic approach similar to that of the original stalker trilogy (or maybe even anomaly/gamma). I'm aware of what UE5 can do I've played DRG and it has an artstyle like no other game (although that is ue4 and not 5) and not to mention other games like Black Myth: Wukong that also use it. It just seems to me that some developers nowerdays just slap on DLSS and FrameGen and blame people's pc for being unable to run their horribly unoptimized game. Also when they don't put any effort into the artstyle and just go for "realism" the games just seem to look more and more like eachother, just look at Payday 3. Looks like every other UE5 game that's come out recently (anthough that also is UE4)

TLDR: I think it would've been better if they went for a more original approach to art style instead of making it look like every other 2025 shooter
