UE5 isn't entirely the problem, quite a bit is is, sorta isn't. I'm not entirely sure they optimized lumen, it takes a while and a ton of commands, but Lumen can run pretty well, and also Nanite shouldn't have been used, after 14 years, you shouldn't have to use a time saving tool. handmade LODs will always be better than Nanite. They pretty much just used time saving tools. Which aren't that great long term, I hope they try somewhat to go back to traditional handmade LODs. But yeah, UE5 definitely has a roll in it. I wonder if they will go up to 5.5, not for MegaLights, but for the general Renderer performance gains. UE5 can look and run great IF you spend enough time optimizing it, and just optimizing UE can be pretty difficult

I bought a new computer months ago to play STALKER 2, but due to all its problems i didnt bought the game.
For what i can feel watching gameplays, the gunplaylooks very very good. But not the IA, and the mutant combat looks so basic, only bullet spongue...
ALso in art, i see gameplays and all LOOKS THE SAME, the foliage is soooo repetitive and boring.
And..i love the original trilogy but it always was shorty and very straight forward for my taste, so anomaly addon pakcs with deeper mechanics and freeplay are more for my taste.

Either FUBAR (Fully Unlocked Ballistics and Range), or better ballistics. I use MHM so I cant say the difference in them, but those should make it alot better, they also updated for latest patch i believe. Also OXA - Oxide's eXpanded Armory is kinda required imo, just makes everything better

Gamma and Stalker 2 are two very different things. Gamma is a modpack for the original Stalker trilogy that came out almost 20 years ago. Stalker 2 came out end of last year and needs more time in the oven. So it looks like you have the choice between the original Stalker trilogy, Gamma and Stalker 2

The devs had their own vision of how the weapons are going to be held on the screen.
Saying one version is worse and the other version is better here is subjective as everyone has their own preference.
Case and point the amount of reposition mods for Anomaly.

I think it's only partly subjective. For example, a gun's barrel should point closely to the middle of the screen. Otherwise, the bullet doesn't go where the gun fires and it's uncanny

i did a full playthrough when it first came out. It was fun I had a goodtime. The performence is terrible i had to get a mod to disable the lumen lighting (on a 1660ti). the bugs were annoying but i was fine with it i knew there was gonna be bugs, i didnt get any game breaking ones and was able to complete the story without backtracking. I ended up modding my game pretty hard half way through for more QOL and gameplay things. Im currently waiting for more major updates to hop back in as they havent really added new features and are just fixing storyline bugs. I had a great time playing it, if you want to play it I would just install some mods and give it a run honestly. If your fine with waiting I would do that so that alife can have some more updates

so just did some testing and turns out Stalker 2 is somewhat playable on 4 GB of VRAM.

albeit at 1080p lowest settings + FSR Performance (50% res) though, so it's not really what I'd call an enjoyable experience - will be very useful for mod testing though.

And yes, I unzip it and do everything required

I installed it manually then I did vortex mod manager and it still didnt work...
