It doesn't have to be OG a-life, Just a convinceing system of spawns. The small render range isn't helping them but I think it's for performance reasons that it's so small.

Maybe somebody could help me out (I asked about it before but maybe someone another could help me) My game without a reshade works preety good, stable and playable fps. But when I install a reshade sometimes I'm getting lag spikes to 4 - 7 fps, sometimes the game reset helps, sometimes not. Right now I'm in a certain area which drops my fps to 4 or 5 while using reshade. I tested out with and withaout a reshade, and without I have around 40 fps, then I install reshade again and bang! - 4 fps. I have no clue whats going on 😦 Any ideas?

just make sure you run reshade installer again, select stalker exe, and then click uninstall. dont just delete the files or you will still have performance hits

I think people have tutorials on upping the graphics on that stuff. I did it for reflection quality but then at one point, some water was flashing completely black so I reverted back

that extreme sharpness is probably because you don't have any upscaling/dlss turned on. They apply some sort of blur/smoothing to textures and make them look less sharp than this

They did though, Removing it cleared up the fps issues. Why? I'm not sure, But it had a noticeable impact on their performance.

I think it definitely will get better, and the future is bright especially with the work they've already pushed out since release, but it just...it just doesn't grab the same way right now. It's small things too, like why can I put a ELCON scope (or whatever S2 calls it) on certain picatinny-combatible rails, but not others? The 416 uses the same modular rail as the 'EMR', yet is incompatible with some accessories. Another example, how is it the the 416 and g37 have different damage outputs? You could usually say 'well theyre built different' but the rifles share the exact same piston system, with the 416 having an actually updated version built on the g36 system

Guys i got info from my mole in GSC, there will be no A-life. They are working on AI-life, which will be much better!
Expect a tremendous living, breathing zone, where everything will be dynamic and realer than real!

folks, I just loaded stalker 2 on my new rig. The intro suddenly interrupts and I end up staring at the broken wall in the starting area. ESC prompt in the bottom left corner and another icon I dont recognize below the middle of the screen. The scene is not frozen, I can hear the character breathe and head bob even but nothing is happening. Is that some sort of loading bug? Anyone familiar with this issue?

It's not exactly well defined, iirc. There's room to speculate. I think it affects people differently, based on how the Wish Granter basically mind-wiped any who managed to actually reach it - cleaning the mental slate for Monolith programming. It could be a matter of personal willpower, as anybody who successfully reached the Wish Granter was likely a highly driven and disciplined individual. so i had a mod that would reduce ammo food and consumables to 10% of what they were before i redownloaded the game with the mod still in the mod folder but the mod wont work now for some reason
