I like the current system as it is. It is not the most realistic system in the world but it strikes a good balance between gameplay feel and resource management while making some immersive sense.

I mean, the early-game TTK in this game is already bad enough as it is. The current system of using tourniquets and bandages to keep your wounds stabilised mid-fight and treating the wounds later with dizzying medication is alright. Being forced to use yadulin or other drugs mid-fight because your vital parts are too injured and having to deal with the side-effects also makes for some interesting moments

enable dnpcav in the mod manager. It's included but disabled due to some crash conflicts with quick transfer.

Just never quick transfer(hold ctrl) armors to companions if you have the mod enabled and you should have no issues.
