To recruit random stalkers as companions:

1. Talk to the leader of the squad.
2. The size of the squad must be within your limit (by default you can't have more than one companion at the time).
3. Your rank value must be at least 1.5 times higher than that of the squad leader.
4. Squad leader must consider you friendly (depends on your rank, reputation, faction relations and more).

Requirements 3 and 4 don't apply to paid companions, but they are rarer overall and can only be found among Loners, Bandits, Mercenaries and Freedom.

1. Craft PDA 2.0

to replicate it and get more or less consistent crashes, the scar artifact has to be active, and then wait for teh random death to activate, the moment he mutters to himself enough to the point where you know it will kill you, do a daddy save and instantly reload the save. there's a high chance, at least in my case, that the game will crash on that save.

It seems to be related to the low psy/seeing phantoms maybe?
If so, it's possible it doesn't require the scar artifact if that is the case, this artifact just makes it more consistent since i always save while low on psy before death strikes

i like the phantoms in general! i like that they manifest into real enemies like in stalker 2, which is much more disorienting but in a great way! the ethereal ghost-like phantoms are creepy and i mostly just tank them with my psy resistance, occasionally shoot them if i must, but i don't like to waste ammo on them if i can avoid it, that's why i like the real looking ones since i can't tell necessarily if it's a fake or not.

i still get ghost-phantoms circling around me like crazy sometimes though, but i'm sure that's a known issue!

i get phantoms quite frequently since i love using a permanent scar artifact! i love the random antics it causes me to do, and the phantoms due to the low psy is a great side effect that synergizes well with it! I only wish it didn't randomly kill the player, i wish the artifact would constantly drain small amounts of psy instead that can only be countered with psy drugs, turning the player into a drug addict to keep the visions at bay lmao! I think that would make it so much more fun to use honestly, since unequipping it doesn't stop the random death from happening anyway, i'd rather engage with the games mechanics and seeing phantoms all the time than avoid using it💥

true, i kinda wish psy was a bit more complex, like how Radiation has internal and external radiation, like consuming food, that there in case of psy was something similar, like artifacts and anomalies that mess with your psy regardless of armor. I think the Radar Anomaly kinda does that, ignores psy resistances, but i think they also bypass drugs as well, plus it's very easy to avoid since you can see and hear it very easily, it doesn't sneak up on you, so it's not exactly it. Psy seems kinda more like something enemies attack you with rather than something that attaches itself to an area like radiation does. with a few exceptions like the field in Dark Valley that causes high psy damage, but it's very telling with its visuals and throbbing sounds so it rarely sneaks up on the player. i guess i jsut like sneaky psy more, so i have to keep an eye on it and use drugs to counter it more frequently, since i always very quickly and very early on manage to keep those things at bay with little effort.

So that's why i like the Scar artifact, it gives gamma a bit more edge and i get to have my mind screwed with more often!

1) While in game, press F12, go inside Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If the screenshot isn't there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
2) Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTRL + V to paste the pic, save it, send it.
Alternatively press ALT+PRTSC to screenshot the currently focused window, then CTRL+V to paste.
3) Windows key + Shift + S, which lets you choose what part of the screen you want to take, it will directly copy the pic for you so all you'll have to do is just CTRL + V in the chat.

I had a stash spawn right next to the food dealer in the Hidden Clear Sky base in the Swamp. On the map it looks like it might be inside the food vendors building and I cant figure out how to get to it. Any ideas? Tried the roof and all around the building
