MyCareer uses different settings than your usual 2K settings, I believe. You will have to go to your MyPlayer's Animations, go to the last tab, and change Shot Feedback to whatever option you prefer.

This game is toast. My IRL buddy who shot 15% from 3 before the patch has hit 17 of his last 20 3 point shot attempts. Why add a new shooting mechanic reward people for learning it just to let anyone and everyone be able to hit every shot again just like last year. I feel like completing MyCareer games and quests nets you a good amount. You can play MyCareer games, and try to get your team to have a 25+ lead, so you can sim out and collect the rewards for completing the game.

Not sure if that’s the most efficient, however.

The contest logic for Season 2 is pretty different from Season 1. The key is to get a hand as close to the ball as possible as it leaves the shooter's hand. If you're on top of the shooter when he starts the shot, using RS hands up is usually enough. But generally, you're going to want to jump at every shot to get the best contest, especially if there's any gap between you and the shooter.

So to get a better contest I have to have my hands up and jump but if you played basketball you don't jump or bite on fakes. Not only that if you jump recovery is trash I go for a block or rebound (pogo on hof) and I recover like I got it on bronze. It's delayed to the point where moves just aren't registering or character refuses to shoot even while holding the shooting button like it did prior to patch 2.0. When patch 2.0 came out it never felt so responsive. Ever since the hotfix that "fixed" combo moves and right stick dunking, we went backwards.

I can guess that the delay is necessary for actions that require two input like combo moves or right stick dunking so that the game can react to what move you want to do. However, the downside to that is this horrid delay. Patch 2.0 was perfect and then we hotfix it one day later because people werent fast enough in flicking the stick to activate dunks or combo moves. We need to make it more responsive than this, even if it means people need to flick the right stick faster.
