The ability to filter by grades. If I want a jumpshot with at most C- release speed and at least A- Timing Stability I should be able to filter that and it give me all the possible combinations that fit.

The consequences for a multiple missed steals or missed steals in general need to be increased. IMO steals are way overpowered - some may like that- so let’s reward the skilled players and do something to eliminate “lucky” steals. After turnovers/ rebounds and even regular passes many steals are a result of button mashing so unskilled teams w a high steal end up w unrealistic steal numbers especially in 21pt games.

tone down screens there is little variety in the way people play because screens are so overpowered, almost everyone runs an inside with a 99 offensive rebound and a small point guard with a 99 three point shot because the screens are way too effective, this makes the game boring and repetitive since every match is damn near the same.

The right stick needs to be less clustered. 2K needs to remove regular shot inputs with the right stick to improve rhythm shooting. 2K needs to make dunk meters a regular thing with the button like you’re taking a layup. These changes will improve rhythm shooting as rhythm shooting has had a downfall since the hot fix to fix combo moves and dunk meter.

By next year Rep needs to accumulate at least 25% faster. The way it is now, the only people capable of even attempting legend have to dedicate 90% of their daily life to playing the game. A vast majority of us play every possible moment and even if we achieve it it won’t be until the game is in its final season. The rewards are great but we can’t take them with us to the next game.
It kind of leaves everyone besides people that play for a living in the dust.
Someone who plays 4/5 hours a day- every single day- should be able to achieve at least legend 1 by season 5 so they have time to enjoy the rewards.

Improved Practice Mode to work on everything 2k25 has to offer!

Including:

-More in depth instructions on how to play the game / use the features / modes / settings and sliders.

-Freestyle practice WITH on-screen instructions like 2k 11.

-Post practice with an opposing AI.

-Practice with any team and their plays easily (freestyle).

-Practice with any player and experiment EASILY with all the animations and packages available.

-experiment with settings and sliders-(with instructions on screen).

-My Player practice and invite to court.

-Invite feature on practice mode. If not already there.

-practice EASILY with Any player and Any team with their plays.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to master Kobe or Lucas or Ball or Giannis BEFORE you get into the game?

With all the new settings/animations / modes / and controls,
It’s overdue for a Practice Mode Overhaul.

The ability to strip the ball if a player is not dribbling should be disabled. It should only be possible to strip the ball if the player is trapped or going to shoot.

This could fix the following issues:

Ball stolen off a rebound
Ball stolen immediately off an inbound pass
Being "Blocked" off of a pump fake in the paint.

When you're able to see your stats in certain modes, like in VIP Stats, there should at least be an option to specifically see your stats on the build that you're on currently. Personally, I have 3 builds I play on, a Center, a Lockdown, and Forward, and all 3 are bound to average wildly different numbers in certain areas, and it's be nice to see what I was averaging on specific builds in different modes.

Nobody should be able to make full court passes without a minimum pass rating.

So many people online are making successful uncontested full court passes on a low pass rating!! Thats crazy!

Cross - court passes should require a minimum pass rating as well.

Players online are just passing over everyone’s head - successfully in half court. That shouldn’t be happening on a low pass rating.

Lob passes into the post should still require a pass accuracy minimum but be harder to steal somehow.

Square button/real player percentage layups were buffed to an unreasonable amount compared to last year, while every other type of layup has been rendered useless. It should be the opposite.

MyCareer - All Game Modes

The right stick needs to do less. 2K should remove the Down/Up input for CONTACT DUNKS and only use Up/Down for Contact Dunks... The Down/Up overlaps with the Rhythm Shooting this year and causes issues sometimes with Shooting ( I.E. getting a regular shot instead of Rhythm Shooting ). Keep Rhythm Shooting as Down/Up and remove Contact Dunks Down/Up and use Up/Down for Contact Dunks.

Also regular shot inputs with the right stick should be removed so that you can ONLY Rhythm Shoot with the Right Stick.... do away with Right Stick shooting altogether and leave only Rhythm Shooting.

Gameplay
increase foul frequency on excessive physical contact on layup and dunk attempts. i can understand if we dont want ppl getting dunked on every play because its "more realistic" however i think that currently physical contact in the air heavily favors the defense with almost no repercussions. Physical contact that is excessive enough to completely cancel dunk animations somehow almost never results in a foul, despite the contact being established through outstretched arms or jumping directly into the offensive player most of the time which is by no means legal according to the NBA rulebook. Either that or reduce the frequency of dunk canceling and increase the contact required to do so.
Currently finishing in general is very unsatisfying in my experience it seems like anything that isnt a open/wide open layup or dunk is a bad take regardless of who is defending you and who is under the rim i feel that the game handled this much better in season 1 where it felt like you could exploit smaller defenders under the basket (in regards to driving layup/dunk not standing those are fine against smaller defenders). And if i can only make open/wide open attempts anyway then there is currently no reason to go above 70-80 on driving layup or dunk.

There should be numerous different Score Bug Options, that can be user selected or randomly selected. Ex. Current, 2K23 era, 2K16 era, 2K14, Small Score Bug, Current + Team Record, etc. Also have the eras bugs manually selectable. And for the NBA Finals give the option to use golden logos like College Football 25 (the logos are already in the game for the All Time Teams).

/suggest get rid of all the different shot timing(high, normal and low risk) . The whole community has been split more than it’s ever been. I believe all you got to do go back to previous games with a pure green wide and make the green wide size differ from the game modes they are in. For example shooting in park should have a higher green wide compared to rec and etc.

Pass Accuracy in the builder should be as cheap as free throw. Wanting an 85 pass accuracy on your build already puts you at a high overall.

This would help the community overall. I’m talking at least a basic 75, that way elite passers can still be elite and stand out compared to those with a lower one. It would help decrease the amount of 25 pass accuracy builds, where people choose to put those attribute points elsewhere on their build. With the builder being so restrictive, especially the taller you go, passing is looked at as one of those throw away attributes—when it’s not.

Can we incorporate mygm into mycareer? I want more control over who my teammates are so I can actually build a dynasty.

For instance; I'm on year 4 with the Hawks. Idk why Trae is still on the team with a max contract when I give him 0mins. Idk why tf we picked up Draymond Green whom I'm also giving 0mins. I also don't understand why we lost Dyson Daniels when he was my starting point and contributed to 33% of our scoring/assists. I even had him in the off-season event and the game still didn't resign him. Not to mention, in 3yrs, I haven't had a single trade go through and these are guys that are either on the block or expendable...I remember not too long ago you could request superstars and build a super team. Why can't we do that anymore? It's a video game...the intent is to have fun. Seems more like a chore now adays.

Please change the way the rep boost works every season.
To make it so everyone has a fair chance at getting a rep boost I believe it should be based on individual performance and not on the general affiliation performance, that way, having more people in X affiliation or having most of the top 10 rep contributors in X affiliation doesn't effect the a random player's ability and option of receiving the rep boost at the end of the season.
The reward for the winning affiliation can still be the 2xrep event or both the 2xevent and a (slightly) bigger boost
But the boost itself should be one that is based on either:
YOUR OWN win% vs the competing affiliation after a certain amount of games is played in the relevant events for the season
OR
How many wins YOU HAD vs people in the competing affiliations throughout the relevant events happening in the season, the more wins the bigger the rep boost up to a certain amount of wins.

Please consider this change to the rep boost at the end of every season and if you'd like please make any changes to this suggestion for it to be considered please do!

Please bring back the iconic 90’s Bulls warmups that aren’t available anymore when selecting 93-04 Bulls jerseys in the modern era. Those warmups were available starting from 2K23 all the way to up until launch of 2K25, and were just removed recently after the patch that correctly removed the black stripe from the collar of those same Bulls jerseys. Somehow removing that black stripe also resulted in the loss of those classic warmups. They are a really nice touch that added a lot to bring those classic Bulls and those uniforms to life.

Make hookshot into layup timing instead of jumpshot timing.
It's a shot you make deep into the basket, it looks like a layup. The timing for layups are near release point, while the fixed timing for hookshots currently are at jump, and are considered a jumpshot w/ no rhythm shooting.

I would be happy if you would add back the advanced layup controls from 2k22 for example, where you could do a cradle layup into a floater for example (right stick diagonal down and then straight down after initiating the move) or fully controlled jellys (also right stick to which ever hand you want after initiating any layup animation). Intentional bump layups or pinoy steps would also be good as an option.

Limit no-squad courts so you can't join a court with players on your friendlist (both in-game and platform) and if you joined a squad with them previously or in other modes. People abuse no-squad courts joining together people that they usually play as squad on normal courts, which makes the gameplay experience horrible for more casual players and in turn can make them leave or don't play again (which is bad both for players and for 2K)

There should be era specific Playoff Logos on the courts in MyEra’s. We know this is possible as the playoff court logos were used in the Jordan Challenges in 2k23 and Mamba Moments in 2k24. Bulls vs Blazers and the NBA Playoffs on Sega Genesis had playoff logos on the courts. It can’t be that tough. To play a whole 1992 season in My Era’s and then not have the playoff and/or Finals court logos is immersion breaking for a game that prides itself on authentic presentation. Could this be patched in? Bring back Playoff Logos on the courts in MyEra’s!

I always loved the jersey physics with the older 2Ks. Could be cool to change the bagginess or size of the jerseys/shorts (i know you can change the length of shorts but not really the fit). I noticed that the uniforms all just look off to me because of the fit. Everyone just looks the same, uniform wise. People might want to have a fit like Terrance Mann with their MyPlayers or something. Might be subtle but at least it will make the game look a bit different appearance wise.

Some way to change/choose positions and matchups in REC (park/every mode would be nice tbh) but definitely rec. If it has to be only for a full squad, that's fine. But too many times is the person you want PG switched with the SG simply because of a couple higher pass acc. Good example is 4 of us queuing REC with an AI and we have 2 stretch PFs. Instead of getting a Center, we get a SF and our 6'8 PF is guarding their Center. This also goes for switching who you're guarding. Why can't we permanently change who we're matched up with?? Can we find a way to nerf moving screens? I think we should dramatically increase the likelyhood of getting called for an illegal screen if we are holding the screen button and sliding our feet next to a defender. If I was to try to take a charge from using the same mechanics, it will be called a blocking foul practically every time in gameplay. I think the illegal screen call should be consistent with how often blocking fouls are called in 2k when you slide your feet while holding circle (or x). Right now it feels like there is an unrealistic amount of screen setting where the big holds the screen button and walks into the on ball defender, causing the defender to be pulled into a screen animation when he’s standing still or trying to move over/under the screen

Buff the standing dunk meter.

Where the game is right now standing dunk meter is absolutely useless unless the person on you has 25 interior other wise 70+ it’s impossible.

Not suggesting just a buff but an overhaul to how it works, similar to the system in 24 where it mattered more on the positioning and if you were in deadzone. This gives us centers and slashers another way to score compared to just having to rely on wide open standing dunks, we can start to actually dunk again.

If people think this would be too overpowered and be too similar to last year, you have to remember that the main reason meter dunks were so op was because of the triple threats in the paint, and since that has been taken out it is harder to get positioned under the rim, and good players should realize that you have to block off their deadzone and positioning, not just relying on attribute to bail them out. No reason silver and bronze paint patroller should be able to stop gold rise up and even when the defender has terrible positioning they stop it almost every single time.

Hi. This is my first time playing your game. I'm having so much fun with over 100 hours of playtime in a week.

I have just one suggestion, so I'm writing like this. I love the system called "Cap Breaker," but it's difficult because there's no way for single users to get it. I don't think content that requires multiple actions is a good direction. Users have the right to enjoy content without discrimination in the direction they want. Moreover, PC users especially take too long to match and it's hard. For matching that has been waiting for a long time, they suffer too much in each round due to the indiscriminate use of nuclear weapons by Chinese users, and the game delay is so severe that they can't enjoy multi-playing properly.

I'm very satisfied with the single play, but I'm getting less attached to the game because of the content that forces me to do multiple things. I'd rather have a separate "cap breaker" for single use. This doesn't work for multiple use, but it works fine for single use, so I think it'd be nice to be able to raise the badge rating.

Once again, there are more single users than I thought and they are dissatisfied with it. When you go into the Korean community, there are a lot of complaints about multi and there are a lot of words about the pain that single users have to enjoy multi by force.
I hope you've read my writing at least once and look forward to doing a smart patch.

Please create a system to penalize players who intentionally sabotage in REC. Maybe like a thumbs up/down system? Where if the player quits, or has a really bad team mate grade, if all 4 of the other players on that team give them a thumbs down, they receive a warning/eventual suspension. Getting cursed out by a team mate because I suggested passing the ball when double teamed and then saying “I’ll do whatever I want” and then have no consequences , is crazy in a team game.

Request for in game pro am tournaments for 26

Format suggested: Have an on the hour 5 minute q up window with a win or out format, one game per day/team for each hourly tournament. With the tournaments resetting when there are no undefeated teams left. Even with 250 teams these would only be week long endeavors, and if you run simultaneous on the hour tournaments nobody should be gameless every night (if they're wanting to play) with an integrated elo rating/leaderboard for teams. Give us some kind of spectator mode for the championship game nights and offer some kind of VC or cosmetic reward for the tourney victors

Can we get rid of “speed with ball” category in the builder and get those attribute points back, Speed w/ball doesn’t need a separate breakout, simply combining speed with ball handle can equate to speed w/ball. I.e 90 ball handle 90 speed, 87-88 speed with ball or 85 ball handle 90 speed, 80-83 speed with ball. Speed with ball always has to be lower than speed b/c u move faster w/o the ball, the the deduction severity from speed would be based on how high or low your ball handle is. Speed w/ball just seems redundant and a waste of builder points

While playing MyTeam Mobile on Android.
Playing single player (Domination) if the game is paused for longer than a minute or two for any reason, it will let you complete the game, earning stats, completing challenges, ranking up etc. But following the after game review, it goes to the load screen and shows an error that it lost connection. This happens while on solid wifi connection, consistent full bar 5G etc. Once you reload into the game all your progress from the game you just completed is gone. All the time spent is wasted. This happened all last year as well. Please make progress save so that if the server times out while paused, or if you receive a phone call, you don't lose your progress.

Hey Mike for next year can you consider combining the rebounding attribute into one. Every year centers alternate on which rebounding attribute to sacrifice to be able to provide spacing for the team and they always have a super high rebounding and another rebounding rating in the 70s and 80s I never really got how this made sense as I don’t know why a center would only be good at getting rebounds on one side of the ball instead of both. And as a way to make the next builder balanced you can up the cost of this attribute.

One cool idea I thought of: custom build names.

My idea is that we get a default from the builder but then after playing a set amount of games, the game understands our tendencies and we get a new name.

For example: my build name is a 2-way inside out scorer. But truly, me as a player, I am a 2-way catch and shoot ace. I’ve seen those builds before and I don’t like them enough just for that name.

So we can do like 15 rec / nba games or 30 park games, and the game learns us and gives us an option to change our name. Kinda like how the cap breakers do.

Now another way is custom build names that we actually type and get approved, but knowing how one apple ruins the bunch, I don’t think that would work out.

An awesome addition I would love to see to gameplay is registering the use of the backdown animation to block a defender's path as an "illegal screen"/turnover. Most players probably do not run into this unless they play the 2v2 courts, but many players spam using their big to block the defender's path, moving back and forth while holding the post-up button, until the off-ball player is caught on the opposite side. This often leaves the guard with high 3pt or mid-range wide open unless the defending big never engages the backdown animation and runs opposite to the guard. It seems like an easy solution to just have the big never engage, but if you do that the big can just post spin and have an easy rim run.

Small additions but I’d love to see the nameplates on the back of the jerseys be more authentic to what they actually look like irl. Guys with long names like SGA should have that curve that the real jerseys have, not scrunched up nameplates. In MyNBA id also like to see the crowds be more relative to what the teams record is. If a team is playing bad, they should have bad attendance. Small little details but it adds to the realism of the experience

I’d love to see more customization with create a shoe when editing current models. More patterns is a big one. There should be floral patterns and a lot more color options in the patterns to choose from. Maybe the ability to add our own patterns as well would be really awesome and the ability to place them anywhere on the shoe that we want.

Suggestion: We need some kind of win-streak Rep multiplier when playing any of the PvP MyPlayer modes. It doesn’t need to be a huge bonus, maybe something like 5%/10%/15% applied over a three game win-streak. The Rep grind in 2K25 is so absurdly time consuming and not friendly to the average player. I have around 300 Rec games played and 100 games played in the Park, and I’m like 25% to Starter 4. I understand that the goal is to keep players engaged for as long as possible, but my friends and I would be significantly more likely to play more often and play longer sessions if it actually felt like I was making progress with Rep. Winning a game of Park and seeing .1% Rep gains, or a game of Rec and getting .4%, makes my friends and I feel like it’s not worth our time anymore.

With the condensed amount of dribbling animations that we get in online MyCareer game modes ( i.e Rec, Park, ProAm, etc. ), 2k should expand on the dribbling tutorials to 2k to include effective dribbling combos. When new dribble moves, mechanics, and animations are released every year, the community is forced to rely on YouTubers to teach how string moves together. I'm sure there are valuable/creative dribbling combos and complementary animation combinations that the developers could teach the community. This is a yearly missed opportunity for devs to show the community the vision they have in mind with dribbling.

To better visualize shot contest levels, I think using distinct colors for coverage would make it more intuitive:
• Weak Contest: Yellow (bright, for minimal interference)

Passing needs to be reworked in 2k26:

Just like dribbling animations have dynamic animations, passes need them as well.
Passes need to take FUTURE positioning of the players into account. Just like in real life, I may throw a pass away from a player, knowing that they will be at that position by the time the ball gets there. Currently the game would rather you hit someone in the back of the head, than change the trajectory to adjust for other players that may be in the way.
Players need to take the urgency of the situation into account. E.g if the clock is running down, or you're passing to someone who has a high steal player nearby, etc. my player should never throw lackadaisical passes. They should have urgency.
95-99 should have faster speed. I think it's expected by the community that someone with 99 passing, for example, would have a slightly unrealistic level of speed behind the pass. It's expensive so it'd be a niche thing anyway.

The general game speed should be increased. Players move too slow. However, when I say this, I mean that the increase should be more nuanced. Here are a few suggestions that would cut down on bogus turnovers:

Call a Kickball Violation when a defender uses forward momentum to run into a dribbler’s hand to trigger a bump steal. If the offensive player dribbles into a stationary or backpedaling defender then this would be a no-call.
Layup strip animations should ONLY trigger when the defender presses the steal button, instead of triggering automatically.
Defenders should not be able to get cornerback-esque interception animations unless they are already facing the ball when they press the steal button. If their backs are to the ball then they should only be able to get deflections.
Reduce the foul limit in REC from 6 to 5.
When an offensive player is setting an off-ball screen and is targeted for a pass they should not be forced to immediately throw a bounce pass, as is currently the case (i.e. the touch pass input should not trigger if the receiving player was just setting a screen).

GAMEPLAY:

When a player gets fouled out of a game they should have the option to stay and watch the rest of the game as a spectator instead of getting booted out to the main menu. They could even get replaced by an AI Player to make it more realistic. Once the game is over, if the player that fouled out chose to spectate, they should remain in the squad that they were in and continue matchmaking with them.

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share an idea that’s been on my mind, inspired by my love for 2K and the countless hours I’ve spent perfecting my craft. I believe adding an option to adjust Dimer levels on the MyCourt ball machine would be an incredible feature for the game.

This addition would make MyCourt more realistic and helpful, especially for players learning their jump shot. It feels like a big gap right now—so many of us rely on Dimer during games, yet we can’t simulate that when practicing solo. Giving us the ability to replicate real game scenarios in MyCourt, with Rec-style Dimer levels and even varying levels of assistance, could make a significant difference.

I’d truly love for this idea to be considered, as I believe it could enhance the overall 2K experience and even ease some of the noise around shooting mechanics. It would mean so much to me if you gave this idea a chance, and I’d be honored to help develop it further if given the opportunity. Thank you for creating such an incredible game that brings so many of us together—I just want to contribute in a meaningful way to something I deeply enjoy.

For 2k26, there should be an optional dynamic takeover. This dynamic takeover should give you a significant boost that is higher than any of the predetermined takeovers and/or temporarily upgrade badges up to higher tiers.

It has always felt weird that a takeover can make your player better in areas other than the ones that got them hot in the first place. For example, a player gets 5 steals and all of a sudden becomes a lethal knockdown shooter. A player makes 3 passes and all of a sudden can posterize people at will. These kinds of boosts make sense when you fill a team chemistry bar, but make less sense when it comes to takeover imo

It'd be cool to be able to reward people with better ability to continue playing out of body. Also since the boosts have higher ceilings than the predetermined one, there's a strategic risk/reward to using it.

When it comes to free agency (or trade), would be more realistic to have a player’s valuation based on its actual stats or season’s awards, instead of his overall grade.

Motion Styles should all have the same speed (running speed, lateral speed etc), so people will choose what they think looks the best or from the player that they like. Nowadays every PG uses Caruso for example, and that kills the variety of gameplay and even the reason to have all those options of motion styles. What should make motion styles faster or slower is the speed and agility attributes number in the players build.

“PLAYER REPUTATION SYSTEM”

There needs to be a system that rates your performances by how many violations you get, D teammate grades etc. and factor that into the type of players you get matched with. If you play the right way and get good teammate grades you should be matched with people who do as well.
If you are a bad teammate and finish with bad grades, quit games, get consecutive violations you should be punished by playing only with other players with bad reputations. You shouldn't be able to play with other good teammates until you improve.

/asuggest suggestion: my suggestion for my carrer will be to add a new mode for the weekend. A similiar concept to fifa weekend league. 30 games to be played over the weekend, 3v3 or 5v5 and rewards will be based on wins. Top contenders that win 25+ games should get insane rewards (should be very diffcult to get 25+ wins, matchmaking should only give you games if you guys have the same record)
0-5 wins= 10k rep exp... + boost
5-10 wins=20k rep + boost
10-15 wins= xxxxxx same thing
25-30 wins= really good rep boost + 1 badge ???!?!
The game gets boring playing rec and park all the time... need more to look forward to on the weekend. This will add a new level of competition with great rewards and bragging rights.

I have a cool idea for an event, its kind of a twist on Old Town Flyers. I wanted to hear some feedback from the community. The idea is that for shots outside the arc, you get 4 points. Shots inside the arc get 3 points. Games go to 25 (could be any number between 25 and 30). Everything else could be copied from Old Town Flyers (2v2 & 3v3 park games).

Why do I think this is a good idea? Because outside shooting was all ready the meta for 2k25, and the 1's and 2's scoring structure of Old Town Flyers makes it even more lopsided than 2's and 3's. Adjusting the scoring to 3's and 4's would shift the gameplay a bit in the other direction, which would be a nice change of pace IMO. I think most players would enjoy a meta this is less about dancing left-right behind a screen for 20s, and instead has a bit of diversity in optimal offensive strategy.

PLAY NOW/ MY TEAM:

Make stamina/ energy matter, most of the time people are running their starting five for the entire game and suffering no consequences.

Instead of calculating energy in terms of percentage, divide it into 5 levels of exhaustion. Each player starts with 5/5 Gatorade bars which will slowly get depleted as they play in-game. Each time they lose a bar their attributes will suffer similarly to the current system. Timeouts and game breaks will replenish lost energy but once a bar is fully depleted it will be gone for the rest of the match. Meaning if a player’s 4th bar is almost depleted a timeout will help replenish it but they can never get back to 5 bars.
Once a player reaches 2/5 bars then they will become vulnerable to a minor injury but if the player is down to their last bar then they become vulnerable to major injuries that will eliminate them from the game entirely. This change would see the in-game injury mechanic making a return as it was in previous 2K’s but this way it won’t be random and only appear as a consequence of minute mismanagement. This would also work great for My Team’s injury card mechanic so that it incorporates less RNG and more strategic risk/ reward gameplay. Players that don’t want to deal with all of this can just have the AI coach handle it by default.
Individual Player attributes and tendencies should also contribute to a player’s risk of injury when in the bottom 2 levels of exhaustion. Factors should include: Player’s durability rating, players engaging in high impact activity like attempting contact dunk and diving for loose balls, player’s stamina rating, etc. Also, if a player suffers a minor injury, they may choose to stay in the game with diminished physical ability, but they run a greater risk of suffering a major injury as a result.

For 2k26 I would like the park MyCareer to be more realistic and promote hoop culture. I really liked the park for 2k19, 2k20 and both gens on 2k21, because they look like parks in real life. If we strive for gameplay to be as realistic as possible, why make super unrealistic parks with gigantic robots/pirate ships? The current Rise and Elite parks does not fit in a basketball game imo. I believe a simple and realistic park that resembles big cities as New York, Chicago, California or the 2k's I just mentioned would be awesome for 2k26. I know I'm not alone on this one.

Allow users in 5v5 online modes to choose 4 plays for themselves. Then allow the PG or ball handler (need to have a certain badge or playmaking tier ) call the plays based on the user’s choice. Each player has 4 plays making for 25 different plays available during the 5v5 game. Allows to the play art to assist other players get into the correct spots so the plays can be executed properly. This will add more variety as well as educate the community for newer players.

The builder should probably have an overhaul for 2K26, but not in the way most people would think. Basketball is as positionless as it's ever been, and the builder should reflect this. Rather than starting by selecting the player's position along with height, weight, and wingspan, the builder should let you select the preferred positions last.

For instance, let's say you want to make a 6'9 PF/SF, meaning that you prefer to play the PF position, but would also accept playing SF, and definitely not any other position. While nowadays you would have to make this build at SF and often get moved down to PF in random rec, you can actually make your preferences in this updated builder, so long as the physicals fit the restrictions set for those positions. This would ideally lead to fewer out-of-position players and more fair matchups.

For 2K26, create a a REP system that combines MYTEAM AND CAREER possibly 1000 rewards, with the ability to choose either a myteam or career reward that corresponds with that level.

With the total REP levels being 1000, it gives EVERY player something to new and rewarding to look forward to each day they play-The grind of each rep level is more achievable for the casual player and still heavily rewarding to the serious player- This NEW REP SYSYTEM is something that could take 9 months for the casual gamer who only plays one mode along with a few hours a day, or 3-4 months for the competitive gamers that play 10 plus hours each day.

This new REP system could include rewards ranging from VC and ULTRA EXCLUSIVE cosmetics/vehicles in MyCareer to MTP and Exclusive Player Cards in MyTeam.

For Overall Performance (black, brown, silver, gold and purple). In regard to losing progress after a loss (especially REC). If you have a teammate grade of at least an A, progression loss should be minimal if any. The lower your teammate grade, the more progression you lose.

Individual players should not be penalized for the performance of the team. Especially when players don’t play team basketball and rarely play any defense.

Battlepass should be able to be purchased with VC. In most games, there is a way to earn the in game currency through the battlepass and completing challenges to potentially get a future battlepass for “free”. If the battlepass costs 75,000 VC, ( $20 worth of VC) this will give players the opportunity to save money by playing the game more to earn VC. The battlepass is currently $20 so it’s a win win situation. Players will either play a lot more to earn VC or just spend the $20 to get the new seasons battle pass.

This may be in even better favor of 2k as players will play more but still may not meet the 75k VC threshold so they’ll spend money regardless.

Add the ability to manage and advertise open tryouts/positions for proAm teams. It’s currently hard to find good consistent people for your proAm team right now.

If you want to recruit right now, as an unknown team, you have to put out messages on several social media apps. Do a bunch of back and forth with each individual person to see if they even have the type of build you’re looking for on your team, ensure they have the right availability, same goals, etc.

Then, without knowing how good they are, you have to play with them in a game that affects your teams record, just to see if they are good enough.

It’s a tedious and frustrating process that could be improved if you could discover, filter, and try out players in an unranked game or scrimmage.

Directional blocks

On defense I can swipe the ball with the right stick and no trigger. Shuffle my feet with L2 and right stick. I feel like the next evolution for defensive players would be to let us set our feet and/or enter a defensive stance with L2 and we hold R2 and flick the stick in 1 of 8(or 4) different directions to block.

For example:
Flicking up would be used for contact animations and physical finisher.
Flicking left or right would be used for scoopers tomahawks.

[ ] 2-5 friends can play together,
[ ] Start in college on different teams and then get drafted to an expansion team,
[ ] Storyline will be competing against the other new expansion team (and the other league teams of course),
[ ] When not playing in this mode there will also be another option to go in solo with the same myplayer but will be a completely different career.,
[ ] You could use this mode to build chemistry with your friends, grind badges, and get a better feel for your jump shot when playing online. Even have the sliders match your preferred game mode like Rec, ProAm, Proving Grounds, etc.,

Instead of players liking your gameplay at the end of games, they can vote on a cool and unique build name for you based on their impression of you. If enough players vote on it ( across many games ), you can unlock the build name and optionally apply it to your build.
If you maintain an average teammate rating or A or higher, you'll unlock higher quality endorsements, quests, and daily spins.
When playing solo ( solo rec/theater/proving grounds), if you go on a winning streak with your team, the team chemistry meter will start at 100%

Presentation: what if 2K added a feature where home fans start leaving the arena early if their team is getting blown out?

Like in the 4th quarter, if the home team is down by 25+ points, the crowd starts thinning out. By the last few minutes, it’s mostly away fans left, with just a few loyal home fans sticking around. You could even hear the away fans chanting and cheering louder, taking over the arena. Would be such a sick little detail to make the game atmosphere feel more real.

Hand out free throw violations when players fail to shoot within the legal timeframe (10 seconds), as opposed to the current procedure of forcing the player to shoot a brick after 10 seconds.

This would eliminate opportunities for offensive rebounds on plays that should have rewarded the defense.
This would also create an opportunity to heavily penalize players that are AFK. If a player gets a free throw violation they would get a large hit to their teammate grade, which would accelerate the process of the AFK player getting kicked.

Gold physical finisher against an opponent with low strength should be around a 40% chance of a bulldozer layup with HOF being 65% and Legend being 90%. It should go against immovable enforcer to balance it out. Gold physical finisher vs Gold Immovable should be a 25% chance of a bulldozer layup while HOF Physical finisher vs Gold immovable should be a 50% chance and Legend vs Gold 75%.

The REC:

AI needs a perimeter-defense fix. The AI does not defend according to the build it controls. Even high-perimeter builds allow uncontested jumpers and routinely miss corner coverage in transition. Every 30min REC game plays out the same way, and AI matchups distort gameplay because everyone forced the ball to exploit the weakness. God forbid you create a shot of your own because your teammate wants to shoot over the AI all game.

Have the AI defend to the rating profile of its build, especially on-ball contests and corner assignments.
This has been an issue for YEARS, and fixing it would immediately improve REC game quality.

Make cpus use their takeover. Example: if Tyrese Haliburton has deep bomber take over, he’ll shoot from way deeper then he usually would. add 4v4 to proving grounds. There’s no reason not to if you ask me! 3v3 is a lot of iso. 5v5 gets crowded. 4v4 is the sweet spot. Plus then 4 squads don’t have to add a random player that throws off team chemistry. Sounds perfect!

MyTEAM:

Reduce the maximum number of pauses allowed in a game from 5 to 3.

Additionally, once a player has exhausted their 3 pauses they should still be able to bring up the pause menu without interrupting the game (i.e. they can still access their settings and instead of automatically triggering a forfeit the game will just continue on in the background).

This would greatly improve the pace and flow of the game and it would combat the annoying trolling that regularly occurs.

Having more attributes to upgrade is a guaranteed way to bring diversity to the game. This would help distinguish between sharps and shot creators for example. Do you want to be someone who creates space to take a stand still open shot, or hit tough learners with a hand in your face. What kind of rim protector do you want to be? A KD type who uses his length to block shots, but struggles against port scorers? Or a prime Marc Gasol who uses strength and positioning to force misses without going for many blocks. With more attributes to choose from, players would have to really think about what they want their play style to be.
