I'm asking because i know you can easily do this on the go on mycareer/park, but i don't know how to make the players IMMEDIATELY switch to avoid miss matches created.

Emphasis on immediately because I'm not talking about switching assignments for the whole game as like: i want lebron to always guard jordan. I'm talking about: oh, Garland is guarding Porzingis because he was near him after a fastbreak, let's switch him with Jarret Allen ASAP. How can i do this?

Theres nothing “official” outside of 2K saying it boosts your stats

This year there are so many takeovers and some of them are very specific. Like Clinic allowing you to break ankles with damn near every move you do

Not even a 99 ball handle with legend ankle assassin could get you the amount of ankle breakers the ankle taker takeover does

afaik i've never seen any sort of actual testing that shows stats continue to scale past 99, beyond the huge bonus that an active takeover gives (which I don't think is related to the attribute rating, but more akin to a temporary uber badge)

I am for this, however, before we make that change, the animations for steals need to make sense. If the ball is in the air, I shouldn't be going for a steal at the ground, and vice versa. Man sometimes I love this game and then I realize the interior D is BEYOND broken.
Played 14 Rex games tryna get an and 1 and made 95 percent of my layups on the whole team w a 76 layup and never got fouled but ONE time in 14 games. Never scored less than 25 pts too. Then my squad goes in Rec and played four 5’9 builds and one super lanky 6’7 for thier “center “ and mind you we have a very talented center but they all had 91 + steal were super fast and got EVERYTHING in the paint they shot 6 threes as a team. Blew us out with 16 steals and maybe missed 8 of thier 50 layup attempts.

@exotic warren @compact spindle yo ok so i feel like something DEFINITLEY changed because I'm also on a 6'8 with 93 middy and 83 3 point and very consistently shot pretty much right at 58%/59% from 3 through 90ish rec games and over the last three or so days i have plummeted to 54% from 3 which is a pretty dramatic change to happen so quickly considering the sample size. I'm now getting frequent hitches and load ups and have gotten a few weird animations on catch and shoot that almost looks like my animation is glitching out. These hitches and other animation issues and frequent wide open bricking etc... are BRAND NEW to me in the last few days after having already played a ton of games and shooting 3's at a very high volume.

I feel like i'm shooting lights out on catch and shoot, leaner/pull up, and hop jumpers for mid range jumpers as I was before, but now regardless of it being catch and shoot or off the dribble from 3, I feel like instead of usually shooting 4/6 from 3 as I had been, I'll start every game going like 0/3 from 3 until my takeover meter heats up and then ill green my next 3pt attempts in a row.

Like I REALLY don't think i'm just tripping out randomly over being in a slump or anything, I'm more concerned that i'm getting so many new animations so suddenly after never having seen them, and seeing a dramatic change in my ability to shoot overnight

like i don't think 2k "patched my jumper" but it feels like they messed with the make %'s from 3 at a lower 3pt rating and just didn't say anything if we both have an 83 3pt on a 6'8+ build and are seeing the same thing that nobody else is really seeing @exotic warren

Please don't nerf steals just because people don't know how to play basketball and lose the ball every time dribbling into people, and don't patch shooting just because people want to make every open shot or don't spend time learning how to shoot or is just not good in shooting, and don't buff the perimeter defense just because people want to have an impact on shooting just standing still in front of the shooter. This year it almost feels like playing real life basketball, please don't patch these things, pleaseee 😭😭😭.
For me the game need a nerf on layups, online shooting should be the same for everyone like high-risk or normal-risk, because it's impossible that my opponent make 10 whites 3's any game and because I'm on high-risk I make only greens, it should be skill based and we should be able to make just greens for me. Well considering you said you get about 1 per game I average 2 or more by just having high driving dunk and 35 off-reb. So i would call that having no effect. Aerial Wizard is the badge that matters, not rebound chaser

One tip is only hold L2 and let go of the right stick completely until the very end when it’s time to contest. It’s easy to hold RS out of habit, I even still do it from time to time if they’re a crafty shooter
