Yeah but it also depends on if your a big or not since i have noticed if you don't have perimeter defense to get around/ speed and even if you block them does not mean you will get the ball back

Yeah guards have vertical/ speed so yeah for the most part they can block a lot easier but if they are against contact dunks its probably GG for them without the interior or high block they will get dunked on even with say anchor on silver or bronze

there's plenty of players with speed and great verticals, it doesn't make you a shot blocker though. That's literally why people get dunked on. There's more to it than jumping high and being fast. 2k just caters to people who like to create certain types of players instead of having to actually be good at the game.

Yeah there is 1 thing i'm still in the middle of testing which a lot of people say height does not matter i disagree in bigs case at the sec since height a lot of the time seems to allow you to standing dunk or even driving dunk and interior stopped driving dunkers for me but only got the interior to 87 so far once i get it to 96 i'm wondering if it will stop 7'`1s being able to dunk on you even though your infront of them

Most ppl either have a squad with 1 7'3 person or the run with 2 6'10ish bigs. It's all about learning a jumper. Most people who play constantly can shoot over 60% from 3 so it's gets boring really fast. Low rating ppl shooting 8-9 from 3 gets old fast. Speed is another non-factor again as my 84 speed character gets outran by bigs quite often.

The game should take into account how open a player is and adjust the open boost accordingly. Example: there should be a larger boost for someone who takes a shot with the nearest defender 12 feet away vs someone who shoots with a defender 6 feet away... both wide open but 12ft gets a larger boost and this should only trigger within 33ft or so from the basket.

Something that more or less pisses me off on 2k is that you can't make any fast big man builds that are over 6'9 like you can make then kinda fast at 80 speed but that kills your strength even though I check the stats of giannis Dwight and probably other that might be slightly shorter that are still speedy yet strong and it just annoying like I have bricks on my feet if I do anything below 80 but again if I want to 80 I need to be a weak twig man I just want to like 6'9 6'10 6'11 to have more speed without so much strength cost what do you guys think

Okay so you're saying they should balance all heights. You want bigs to have more speed with same strenght. What about small guards? Whats something they'll need to add in ur opinion? The game is already unbalanced in a certain way. The only possible reason someone would go small (6'1-6'3) because of speed BUT you can throw that out window because 6'8 can do the same, not as fast tho but fast enough.

You need to see the size ratio they are asking for... so if it says 1x1 or 1:1 ratio then your photo size can't be 1200x800 pixels it would have to be 1200x1200 or 800x800

Same thing for 4:2 ratio it would have to be like 800x400

Can we get the ability to change matchups in the rec when players quit out or are loaded into a game with a bot who is matched up with another user player instead of another bot. Also the ability to change defensive settings on the fly like playing the match up tight or loose. This would help players who don't quit out of rec games a lot.

Wish 2k could finally fix this trash game. 5’9 guards dunking on 7’3 bigs with 95 block is wild. Can’t catch a pass without going out of bounds. Can’t get a steal on a big with no ball handle when you got a 95 steal. Can’t contest a shot no matter how in the face you are. Getting bumped out of bounds with no fouls is wild. Terrible matchmaking. Full MVP squads against 2 silvers and 3 casuals 95% of the time. Get called for a charge before you even catch the ball. Go up for a block and visibly see the ball go through your hand. They promised this year would be the best version the game has ever seen and it’s the worst version in the last 4 years 😂 games literally becoming unplayable. The only likeness this has to the real NBA is how trash the officiating is. Make sure you go spin the wheel for your team logo release everybody, spend so much money on the game and that’s the stuff they give you for free 🤡

I would like a clear explanation of what determines positions in the Rec. for PGs I’ve heard it’s not the height differences but instead statistics such as a higher Pass Accuracy determine who plays PG. If that’s the case then please verify for me. Also, I need to know what determines who plays C or PF or SF? If a C and 2 PFs enter the rec then what determines which PF plays PF and which PF will play SF? Is it still pass acc? Or would it be speed? Or interior defense, etc? Don't start on mycareer or myteam (Two of the different modes you can play once you load it up) start with just quick play and or black top to get your skills going then play myteam or mycareer. Myteam being where you collect player cards to assemble a team and my career being where you create a player and play as them their career. The hall of fame pass is the highest level of pass you can get for the 2k my- games. It goes base pass for free, pro pass for some money and the hof pass for more money, recently a code came out to get the hof for free so redeem that if you can and it will help kick start your career as a 2k player. But the most valuable info I have is to learn yourself buy just testing things out rather that trying to get other people to teach you. Well good luck on your 2k journey.

Getting a rebound and having someone immediately spam square and getting rewarded is honestly not fair especially since as centers unpluckable only obtainable in tier 3 making our jobs much harder than it should be. Also whenever I do a dropstep the defender is easily able to strip me causing a turnover. My internet is stellar. Ethernet cable, open NAT type etc. but I’m genuinely curious how anyone maintains purple or gold performance. Every time I get there it’s only a matter of time before I get disconnected loading into a game immediately after stepping in the door and my performance meter drops. No one wants to play with me and the road back is miserable despite me having a 61 win percentage 65% 3pt percentage- they see the bronze and immediately assume I’m a bum. What my guy here said. 💪 Using the dunk meter is different though. If you’ve line of sight to the basket when you start the dunk animation you’ll either posterize defenders in the paint or transition into a layup depending on their defense rating.

The dunk meter is the way to go.. if you have the time to learn it. I took some reps in the practice facility, mycareer games, and then Gatorade. Well worth it my guy

You are trying to get it to activate? I’m an offensive player, but I think you just need to cut the person off and use the L2 button for physical defense. Possibly angle the left joy stick into the offensive player.

Go find your favorite real life player, to dunk/dribble/shoot with and copy their sigs/dunk package. You can see the sigs in the features, create a roster tab. That’s what I did for my KD and Drose build. I was happy with the results. Not the most flashy dunks, but they are efficient, and look realistic to the player I was creating.

I also think the rewards and stuff we spend out VC on should give more in game boosts, or make the grind easier. As for the 9th gen version part, some insight was posted a while back.

Wanted to address the PC discussion and give some insight from a business perspective on why it takes time for sports games to make the transition on PC's vs. console. I can assure you, this isn't 'laziness', in fact, this has been the case nearly every single generation - it normally takes a few years to see this change occur. Here's a big reason why:

As much as hardcore gamers buy new consoles or super high-powered PC's, most players do not own the biggest/brightest tech out there. When looking at what gen to put on PC, you have to look at the player base, and what capabilities their hardware has from a minimum spec perspective.

So let's say to run the new gen you need a much higher spec'ed PC, you may cut off 30-40% of the PC market, who is able to play the game at min-spec on older gen. Usually after new consoles come out, there's a big uptick in players improving PC's more casually, and games that have yearly iterations base decisions like this on the percentage of players on PC who meet the min spec threshold.

I know most in here are hardcore players, as are most of us, so this can be frustrating, but PC is vastly different than console, where everyone is on the same machine. Therefore, you have to base decisions on where the most amount of players can play. That's the business side of it.

Also I'm fairly certain that cutting 30-40% of the player base off due to system specs is not accurate its probably more towards 10-15% and if there reviews on steam weren't 15,000+ overwhelmingly negative it would bring in more than 30-40%

according to steams September 2023 report the average specs of pc compared to ps5 will be listed below [ pc | ps5 ]
