You can get go cart at stores, or sometimes as a season reward. More expensive to buy than to earn but those are the options. And Ronnie 2k rotates around the city and they don’t mark him for you. Each time you meet the my player overall challenge he gives you he will move to a new unmarked spot.

Bigs are literally the mvp in the real world but in 2k y’all literally reward the guards for everything if you’re 7’3 and everyone else is 6’9 or shorter you should be able to dominate not get put in silly animations or positions. Centers are the best players in nba so it would be nice to get appreciated more in 2k

It's because you don't know how to finesse

Hesitations, changes of speed, sizeups can get you open for dunks and jump shots. The key to scoring in a crowded paint is the meter dunk. If you don't know how to time a contact meter dunk, you will not score inside this year

this nba2k23 version is the worst i have played. I started with nba2k19 over the years instead of improving 2k did everything to make this game worse in playability, matchmaking and AI control script. From this year the possibility of playing with a blocked player has made the playability pitiful. The amazon servers that provide the online gaming service only serve as a bridge for players to play Peer to Peer with all the negative consequences, based on geographical areas. The matchmaking is pitiful, it can happen to play with the same opponent even five times in a row. 2k sell a patch next year because the game will always be the same, do you think you are fooling us?

But if it was 2k you spoke with. i think what they mean is that you have to be connected to the online servers to use them. This way they can make people buy the new games instead of jus offline updating the rosters

So maybe its just me, but does anyone else feel like Inside Scoring in the Rec need a serious overhaul? It's like near impossible to score on the interior unless your wide open. You'll have great dunking builds, but that doesn't seem to matter if someone is standing anywhere close to you most of the time.

1000% agree. It’s like people don’t even need good positioning and anticipation when Anchor and POGO Stick can bail you out. It’s bad to the point that you don’t even have to put a hand up; just be near them or spam Y or triangle with no punishment for being undisciplined. They need to nerf the radius of Anchor.
Another thing that makes it bad is the standing layup animations are slow, terrible, and inconsistent (even with Fast Twitch).

I’ve seen dudes miss open layup or dunks while the big man is jumping on the opposite side of the rim because they have Anchor on and their near the basket. It makes no sense.

It's ridiculous. I've seen the same thing. Had a guy out of bounds who jumped and made me miss a dunk. Same happens with the AI Defenders in MyTeam on anything All-Star difficulty or higher. It's completely out of hand. I'd love if one of the devs came on here and explained what they were thinking and how they are gonna fix it. But let's be real, they won't because all the devs want this game to be is a 3pt shooting simulator with microtransactions. Had the same problem with the last few games with the Intimidator badge. I just want these devs to make an ACTUAL basketball game where inside scoring is realistic and every contested layup and dunk isn't a miss. Last year's inside scoring was worse, but this isn't that much better. And the steals are out of hand as well. There must be at least 50 steals in every Rec game I play. It's absolutely ludicrous. Last REAL basketball game they made was 2K16.

I have a proposed solution to all of it. The badges they love so much in this game should counter each other based on the level they're at. For example if a guy has Gold Anchor, then any of the other Finishing badges (FF, Posterizer, Rise Up, Masher, etc.) at the same level should cancel the badge out and the individual ratings (Dunk, Layup, Shot Vs Block) that are higher win out the majority of the time, but Anchor should only be effective when face up with the opponent trying to score. Not effective when behind, on the side, and definitely not when out of bounds. Same logic goes for steals. If there is a badge mismatch, then the higher rated badge gets a 25% increased chance of working per tier difference of triggering the effect.

It's why every LFG on Xbox (and probably other systems too) is only looking for 3pt shooters at every position because it's the only consistent way you can score in PvP. I'm older and like to play 90's style of B-ball, but just can't do it with how the game is designed right now. It truly needs a major overhaul so everyone can score how they like to.

I think Anchor is still AoE, but not sure if it works only activates on block attempts. A lot of these are hard to judge because during the game I don't know what the attributes are. I do think hands up seems pretty ineffective if you don't do it early. Seems like you need to do it before people get into the paint then it's ignored with slithery

I would definitely remove menace and some of the other badges as well. If you ask me, just remove all of them all together and let the ratings and skill of the player decide what happens. But I know 2K won't do that because they love their badges. Basically if a player has a higher rating, then they are more likely to win, but positioning and IQ would matter.

😂… I agree. I understand why they did it because paint mashing (along with other factors) was horrible when the game first came out but the only reason it was bad was mostly for the fact that offensive 3 second violation wasn’t called for the player that like to spam the pump fake under the basket.
The steals are ridiculous. Interceptor is a crazy badge. I see dudes still getting steals in the passing lane by just spamming and I know they have no adrenaline boost.

No, Anchor works without even attempting a block and it is definitely AOE. I know because I have it one very one of my Big Man builds and guys miss all the time around me without me ever facing them up or attempting a block. At least that's how it is on last gen Xbox. Don't know about the other systems

No, but that doesn't seem to matter as they just spam the steal button continuously and get steals all day long. Ball Handling rating doesn't matter or the Ball handling badges don't matter either. And passing rating has no effect either. My Center has a 43 passing rating and my Point Guard has an 88 and there is no difference in how frequently their passes get tipped or stolen. And passing accuracy in this game is a joke.

I know when it was Intimidator a few games ago it was AoE and having 2 bigs with it meant not even attempting to go into the paint. I don't think it works behind anymore, but might still have some effect on the sides. My only experience with Anchor is on next gen

The handle matters. It was countered too hard by glove to start this year. It doesn't remove that the ball is live a lot more than previous years so people can still position for bump steals all up and down the court. I think it might be related to catch animations too. The pass rating at least lets you get different pass styles which have different windups and some randomness. I think the pass styles are an interesting idea but will be complained about because the randomness remove consistency. There not really enough downside to attempting steals multiple times

I had a Shaq build with 99 Strength, 95 Post Control, 99 Standing Dunk, 75 Driving Dunk, 95 Close Shot, and 75 Driving layup and still could not consistenly score in the post and would have PG's and SG's making me miss dunks and gimme put back layups. I got so mad, I just deleted the character

1000% Agreed. I’ve been begging for that since 2K18. The court feels way too small in 2K’s. I’ve seen dudes able to run to paint to the 3 point line with 2-3 steps. No one can cover that much ground. It feels like I’m playing in a high school gym with NBA players.

Im not against badges… But sometimes its cheesy because of the mandatory badges like anchor/takeoff/agent 3. You get guys that rely on badges for scoring vs smart play and high percentage shots…and then you have terrible defense rewarded by badges lol

The terrible defense thing is what just gets under my skin soooo much and these guys never get penalized for it. I had 4 guys run out on me when I was in the high post. Passed to the SF on a backdoor cut and all 4 were able to run off me and block the poor guy's dunk attempt. It was absolutely ridiculous

Yes, That one of the reasons I wanted Chase Down Artist removed from 2K22. It was a bail out badge for bad defender. They covered way too much ground even if they were 7’2-7’3 bigs.

It's the fact that we are viewing everything from above as well. Even if the game is coded to vision cone stuff properly we're still seeing what happens behind us far to the sides. The AI can't keep up with the human game so the balancing is completely different

There's something with the one the 3 in the key rule works. In general it seems to take 5 to 6 seconds for the 3 to get recognized (probably some extra for movement delay). The annoying thing is I have no idea how to tell when the time resets. I usually did the 'bounce method.' Run back and forth to anyone close to the paint so I don't have to leave

My question is why is 6-9+ player even doing a reverse layup right in from of the basket in the first place. I was Directed from 2k support here for a problem I've had since season 4 where I have a bug where the shot timing isnt correct in the rec and theater. I don't know where to put this issue

"I have been experiencing this problem during season 4 where my timing in the rec, park, Mycareer, and theater is not the same as the Gatorade or pro am arena just shooting around. It wasn't like this before the jersey switch during season 4. I have my shot timing on early and when im in the rec and such, it shoot like very early and if i put it on late or very late it doesn't correspond correctly. I have no way to at least practice this since the pro am arena timing is fine for me and I green but it is not like that in game I have noticed this in park the timing corresponds correctly in the pro arena and Gatorade, it seems it's only matchmaking situations. I also have this game on PS5 and everything works fine with timing. I've reinstalled the game and everything. " this problem has been continuing since season 5. I went from shooting 65% from 3 to 29% it's been ugly. I hope I can get hep from a Dev on this issue.

As far as I know offensive 3 is just a glitch in every mode. I've tested it, and you can always step into the paint with 5 seconds left on the shot clock and sit the entire time and still not get 3 in the key

I believe it's something that is adjusted in real life to help teams play 2-3 zone and therefore 2k adapted it to match in the game

Can you see if server can be extended for nba 2k22? I'm a roster creator and create my own arena's and uniforms. Can servers stay up for many years so players can enjoy rosters, uniforms, and arenas? Also, if server is shut off can you make sure that in my leagues all teams can be edited and not just 3 teams in a my league. We all want to enjoy 2k22 when servers are turned off. I spend hours and hours making rosters for xbox community and can't afford néw game right now. I know servers go off for 2k22 on December 31, 2023. Just want an extension for servers or servers just to remain on for 2k22. Thanks

Wish you guys would add new attributes building style in MyCareer, instead of buying vc and skipping the grind that is the NBA. Examples would be: 1.) You can only buy VC to the cap of 80 overall. You come into the league with a base skill set and specialty - PG: Pure Offense , Orchestrator, 3 & D. SG: Sharpshooter, Slasher, 3 & D. SF: Pure Defender, 3 lvl scorer. PF: Stretch 4, Inside/Out specialist. C: Paint Beast(Def/Off) Post God, Paint Guardian 2.) Player's gameplay style dictates player's build and growth. Every offseason would bring in a 3 to 5 mini game moments to improve in new skills and develop into a complete player/superstar player. Example being Kawhi Leonard, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, LeBron. each player came into the league capable in a only certain set of skills. Then later developed to more well rounded players. This would encourage more gameplay not only for online but through the career pathway. 3.) Once capped at 80, player's stats and actions in training will give additional attribute points to certain skills of focus. So if in Team training you work on pick and roll with you working on you jump shop can earn +1 to +3 after a significant amount of work at it. Same concept during games, score 20+ pts multiple games using layups and dunks to increase layups and dunks. Plus earning badges that way as well. This concept is similar to MLB The Show, where your gameplay through the season and playoffs increase and decrease your skills. 4.) Create a player driven offseason, free agency/trade storyline, where the player can affect the NBA power landscape. Also, superstar status "MUST" be earned in the games. Stars will challenge your rise. 5.) Where players have to earn their draft spot, and where drafted explains your growth and training speed. 1st to 10th - earns 2 badges in each category or 8 in one. 11th to last of 1st Round - 1 badge in all categories or 4 in one. 2nd round picks - 2 badges in 2 categories or 2 in one.

It just depends. You have to think about it in terms of tiers. You need 10 badge points for the bottom two tiers then you need 7 more badge points for one gold top tier and 5 more for a bronze top tier on top of that. If you have at least 20 badges you can get two bronze top tier.

then once you core one, that means you can get 3

You did nothing wrong. I play MyCareer with a 7'3 center and that animation is broken and is on every center in the game

The only way to remedy this is to pump fake then go up. It reduces the likelihood of that specific dropstep animation of happening

One of the complaints I have about this game is how I have 90 strength and these dribbling bigs can dribble right into my legs and/or body recklessly just to not pick up their dribble or turn the ball over. I remember Mike Wang saying “Strength will important this year for body up animation” but it seem like for another year that is a lie.

This is what the community wanted. Everybody wants to be LeBron, Kawhi, PG, and especially KD. Everybody wants to be a superstar in this game. Being a role player is viewed as detriment when their just as important as the star players which is exactly why I enjoyed 2K17 Player builder (along with 2K18 and 2K19).

Ew. I hated that I had to go to a business meeting just to create a player but I will say that it was unique and innovative which I will always give 2K credit for. Their always pushing the envelope in some way, shape, or form. I just wish they’ll execute some of these ideas better and allow things that work to stay as it is.

If you can get more than 75m 2 stars on Treadmill, no matter what I do it always lands on the same distance. Which is really frustrating because you can't get gatorade turbo boost unless you get 3 in everything.

Amen, Preach the gospel. I feel the same way. I make my big to be a mixture of Hakeem, Tim Duncan, and Anthony Davis. There are games where I can grab boards like Wilt. Jumping out of the gym like I’m an Olympic athlete. I can hit all types of variation of post moves while playing respectable defense. Then the next game I play, I don’t have the same intensity or verticality on the boards or defense. My big feel like he tore both his ACL and achilles. He just feel sluggish and slow like Oliver Miller off the Sacramento Kings. I get weird and slow layup animations that I’ve never seen before. I know exactly what you’re saying.

Facts, You know what makes it worst. When your teammates think that you’re selling them when you literally don’t have much control over how you finish at the rim in this game as a big man along with how you play on the defensive end of the floor.

Idk about that one chief. I have a 7'3 defensive anchor with 35 defensive badges. I can consistently stop anyone at the rim. The contact dunks aren't easy to stop if my man can shoot and I have to run from out of position to help someone else.

I agree with you about the consistent finishing. I gave my build good finishing, but I still can't finish at the rim with rise up, dropstepper, backdown punisher, fast twitch

Next build I make, I'm making a bigman that can get every driving and every standing dunk animation.

So this is for the 2K employees and mods: I would truly love one of you to get here on Discord and explain the multiple flaws with this game. Let's start with how interior scoring is absolutely trash. Who thought it was a good idea to make all the interior scoring big builds absolutely suffer no matter the badges or attributes. I consistently miss point blank layups at the rim just because some goober has anchor badge and is jumping wildly within 5 feet of me. You do know that people can make point blank layups or shots even if someone is guarding them right? Especially if they don't have good defensive positioning. I hope for the love of all things sacred that you patch this immediately or at least fix it in the next game because it is completely trash in its current state. Second thing, steals are out of control in PvP, especially the Rec. I don't know how many basketball games you guys have watched, but I ain't never seen a game with 30-40 steals in it and that's what you see a majority of the time in the rec. It's so bad, people ball chase for steals and don't play REAL defense because they know they won't be punished for it (the interior scoring problem). Steals need to be toned down about 125% and then maybe the game will feel more authentic.

And lastly, this is a basketball game (at least its supposed to be) not a 3 point shooting contest. I understand that the 3 pointer is a much more common weapon in today's game, but that doesn't mean there aren't other ways to score. It's pretty sad that a 3-point shot is more automatic than a point blank layup or dunk. The addition of the dunk meter was a nice change, but it is still very inconsistent and the bigs don't have a dunk meter they can trigger for standing dunks. Make the dunk meter more effective and give the bigs a standing dunk meter. I would like to think that you guys at 2K would listen to these suggestions, but I'm pretty certain that Mike Wang, Ronnie, and all the other higher ups could care less and only care about stacking money with an inferior product.
